A swirl of pink light danced before him, forming five glowing orbs that hovered in the air.
[First Draw: Item Acquired — Handgun (Ordinary Quality)]
A dull red pistol appeared on the table, gleaming faintly under the dim light.
Judas blinked. "A gun? In a medieval world?"
He picked it up carefully. It was heavy, perfectly balanced, with six bullets already loaded.
'Only six bullets? What happens after this?'
Unless one has a high strength attribute or any defensive equipment, an Initiate can be hurt by guns. Although it likely can't kill them, in some rare cases, the consequences could turn grave.
However, as they improve their ranks, the probability of shooting them before they maul your neck would become impossible. Unless caught off-guard, an Awakened would never be hurt by bullets.
But this was a medieval world. Here, even the concept of gunpowder was alien. Judas rubbed his palms together. If used correctly, it could be an ace in the dark.
"Nice," he murmured. "Medieval problems, modern solutions."
The second orb shimmered.
[Second Draw: Item Acquired — Instant Chicken Noodles (One Month Supply for Four People)]
Packets of colorful noodles spilled onto the counter, forming a small pile.
Judas stared at them in awe. "That's it," he whispered with a grin. "We're saved."
He almost laughed. Instant noodles — the greatest invention of mankind — had followed him to this world.
[Third Draw: Item Acquired — Speed Growth Seeds (x10)]
He picked up the small bag that appeared next. Inside were glowing blue seeds, warm to the touch.
[Description: Seeds that grow into fully mature crops within a month of planting.]
Judas's grin widened. "I'm beginning to love this system."
'System, is there a connection between the items I am getting and my circumstances?'
[Yes. Your rewards will automatically match your needs.]
'Nice.'
The fourth orb burst open.
[Fourth Draw: Item Acquired — Sewing machine (Ordinary)]
A sewing machine appeared beside him. It was smaller and light weight than machines back home, but looks durable.
"Well. Not bad. I think"
The final orb pulsed and vanished in a burst of light.
[Fifth Draw: Skill Acquired — Intimidation 1 (Ordinary)]
[Description: Projects a threatening aura that lowers enemy morale and increases persuasion in social interactions.]
Judas chuckled quietly. "This is getting better by the minute."
He took a moment to examine everything. A gun for protection. A month's worth of food. Seeds that grew in a month. A fishing rod for backup. And a new skill that could make people tremble.
Not bad for his first day as a farmer.
When he returned to the main room, all three women were still where he left them.
Nina was folding old cloth into makeshift blankets. Luna stood with her arms crossed, her gaze sharp as ever. Ezra had her knife strapped to her thigh.
They all turned the moment they sensed him. Judas's breath caught in his lungs as he examined his wives.
His eyes fell on Nina first.
Soft. Sweet. Beautiful in the way a sunrise was beautiful.
Her long silver-white hair flowed over her shoulders like silk poured from the heavens, and her fluffy wolf ears twitched whenever she grew shy.
Her golden eyes were wide and innocent, the kind that made a man want to pull her into his arms just to see them brighten. Her small frame looked delicate enough to break from a strong breeze.
A girl who could make any man feel protective… or possessive.
Nina felt his gaze and curled her fingers nervously. 'Why is husband looking at me like this? His hormones have also become chaotic.' Her tail swished once.
'It's fine. He is my husband anyway. He can look as he wants.' Her cheeks turned rosy.
Judas swallowed. A gentle calamity disguised as innocence.
Next, he looked at Luna.
Cold. Alluring. A beauty carved from moonlight and arrogance.
Her purple hair shimmered with every tiny movement, falling down her back like a cascade of night. Her silver eyes seemed to be judging him, measuring him, and mocking him all at once.
Her pointed ears twitched slightly whenever she got irritated, which only made her look even more enticing.
The curve of her waist drew his gaze without mercy.
Her posture was elegant and sharp, a noblewoman's poise with the body of a woman who knew exactly how lethal her beauty was.
Even the way she rolled her eyes looked attractive.
Luna noticed him staring and raised her chin, pretending she did not care…
'Hooligan.'
….but a faint pink touched the tips of her ears.
Judas smirked. A cold beauty capable of toppling empires with a glance.
Finally, his gaze landed on Ezra.
Strong. Dangerous. Seductive without trying.
She had the kind of body forged by battle and discipline. Her shoulders were firm, her arms sculpted, her legs toned with the strength of someone who had run, fought, and survived things gentler women could not imagine.
Her black eyes were calm and deep, like a quiet storm watching the world carefully.
She gave off a subtle dominance. The kind that told a man she could pin him against a wall if she wished.
Her lips curved in the faintest smile when she caught him staring. Not because she was shy, of course. Rather, she appeared to be amused.
A woman like her was a sin he wanted to commit twice. Judas wasn't a submissive man. But to her, he might try being one.
Judas inhaled sharply. A warrior's disaster that tempts both fear and desire.
Three beauties, three disasters. One that melts, one that freezes, and one that crushes.
Three completely different flavors of temptation sitting in his half-broken house.
He felt heat crawl up his neck.
This new life… might not be so bad after all.
Judas coughed lightly. "Wives, good news."
Luna arched an eyebrow. "Do tell."
"Why the rush, my little frost?" he blinked at her, dropping a packet of noodles on the table.
'Wha-..little frost?' Her pointy ears turned red.
Affection: 5->10
Then her eyes fell on the packet on the table.
'What are those?"
Judas had already moved closer to her, hugging the shoulder of the unguarded elf as he swooped Nina and Ezra in together.
"Dinner for a month."
'Husband~'
'Hooligan.'
'Brave.'
"Hu-husband, are these edible?" Nina had a blush on her face. Judas pinched her cheeks as he said,
"Of course, yes. They can even be cooked in three minutes!"
Luna took one of the packets and read the strange markings. "These letters… I do not recognize them."
"Ancient technology," Judas said with a straight face. "You just add hot water, and it becomes food."
Ezra tilted her head. "Hot water?"
"Yes."
Luna frowned. "That sounds like alchemy."
"It's peasant alchemy," Judas said, dead serious.
Nina giggled softly. "Husband is amazing."
Affection: 35 → 50
