After school.
At Starry.
It seemed there were only two people in the shop right now, Nijika Ijichi and Rana Yo.
Nijika was feeding Rana some food, and Rana looked like she was enjoying it.
Rana Yo had been coming to Starry a lot recently and had become familiar with everyone.
Although there wasn't her favorite matcha parfait here, Nijika would give her all sorts of snacks.
This made Rana very satisfied.
And Seika Ijichi, seeing that this girl was as cute as a cat and also so young, generously waived her entrance fee.
"It's just that Bocchi-chan is having a hard time. Stray cats really like to play with Bocchi-chan."
Thud!
The door opened.
As soon as Hakushu entered, he received a warm greeting from Nijika.
"Akikun, you're here. You're early today."
"Yep, came straight over after school."
Hakushu nodded and replied with a smile.
Then, he put down his guitar case and said,
"Wait for me a moment."
Hakushu walked directly towards Starry's notice board.
"Eh? ... Okay."
Nijika tilted her head in confusion.
In front of the notice board.
Hakushu was holding a brand new poster.
The poster read: Student band recruiting new members, one drummer, one bassist.
Requirements: Love of music, no experience required, no skill requirements, able to come to practice after school...
Contact: Aine Chihaya, contact information: ...
Remarks: It would be even better if we could form a band for life!
Hmm... that last remark.
It was Hakushu who specifically asked Aine Chihaya to add it.
Considering that this was probably Hikari Takamatsu's only request, Hakushu thought it would be better to add it.
This way, it looks quite interesting, doesn't it?
And, maybe someone will be interested in this band after seeing "for life".
However, Aine Chihaya didn't think so.
She was very doubtful. With this sentence added, would they really be able to recruit new bandmates?
She didn't want her band to die in the cradle…!
But in the end, the kindhearted Aine didn't refuse.
The poster was also made by her overnight last night.
She printed it out this morning and gave it to Hakushu, asking him to help promote it at Starry.
As for herself, she planned to go to other livehouses to take a look.
It had to be said, Aine Chihaya's ability to take action was still very fast!
After sighing inwardly like that, Hakushu dismissed the doubts he'd had yesterday afternoon about Aine Chihaya's reliability.
He found an empty spot and perfectly put up the poster.
Hakushu wore a satisfied smile.
Unexpectedly, as soon as he turned around.
Hakushu was startled, and even a little frightened.
"Do you guys not make any noise when you walk?!!"
He didn't know when, but the other girls from Bocchi the Rock! had arrived.
At this moment, the girls were tightly surrounding him.
This put Hakushu in a difficult position.
Hitori Gotoh, Ikuyo Kita, and Nijika Ijichi were slightly stunned, their expressions a bit complicated.
Ryo Yamada and Rana Yo, on the other hand, looked relatively calm.
"What's wrong? When did you guys get here?"
Hakushu waved his hand, asking curiously.
"Five minutes ago."
Ryo Yamada answered Hakushu.
"Oh..."
Hakushu nodded slightly, and then he saw Ryo Yamada very naturally reach for the potato chips in Rana Yo's hand.
She picked one up and put it in her mouth.
She chewed, and swallowed.
Hakushu's mouth twitched slightly, and he was just about to complain, So you're not even letting the kids' snacks go now?
Nijika spoke first, asking somewhat nervously,
"Hakushu... wh, why are you suddenly recruiting teammates?"
Nijika looked at Hakushu with a troubled expression.
Is Bocchi the Rock! not good enough?!
Is it because my sister is too tsundere? Is Ryo too much of a scumbag? Or am I not caring enough about the band members...?
Hearing this, on the side.
Ikuyo Kita and Hitori Gotoh also became fully attentive.
This was also what they were worried about, and what they wanted to ask.
Kita was worried if it was because her skills were holding them back. Although Hitori taught her, it was still difficult at first.
Hitori was much more pessimistic. Hakushu-kun is looking for a new guitarist! She's going to be kicked out of the band! She's going to be optimized out! It's over! Her band career is over!
"It's not me, this is to promote a friend."
Hakushu shook his head, then pointed to the contact person on the poster.
The three girls, lost in thought, immediately followed Hakushu's finger.
Aine Chihaya.
It was a girl's name.
Phew…
The three of them breathed a sigh of relief.
Thank goodness!
Seeing the looks on Nijika and the others' faces, Hakushu seemed to understand something.
So he gave a knowing smile and said,
"You don't think I'm going to quit Bocchi the Rock!, do you?"
"Ah, no, no!"
The three girls' faces flushed, looking quite embarrassed, as they shook their heads back and forth.
"Don't worry, I won't do that."
Hakushu said.
"I thought it was me who was going to quit Bocchi the Rock!…"
Hitori Gotoh mumbled quietly.
"Huh? What did you say, Hitori?"
Hakushu didn't hear clearly and asked again.
"N-nothing!"
After giving Hitori Gotoh a strange look, everyone was used to it.
The misunderstanding was cleared up.
The hearts of the few people that had been hanging in suspense relaxed.
Then they all curiously looked at the poster behind Hakushu.
At first glance, it was a very ordinary poster.
Until they saw the end.
Everyone's expressions were a little strange.
Ikuyo couldn't help but say, "A lifetime? Wouldn't that scare people away?"
Nijika agreed, also speaking tactfully, "Isn't this last remark a bit odd?"
Only Ryo Yamada gave a thumbs up, praising, "Very unique!"
"As expected of Senior Ryo, I actually think so too."
Hakushu and Nijika's faces stiffened. Ikuyo-chan, that's not what you said just now.
Then Hakushu explained, "Although a lifetime isn't impossible, this is about 'if', and maybe it can attract attention."
"Eh? So that's how it is."
Nijika nodded thoughtfully after listening to Hakushu's explanation.
"I thought Hakushu was unexpectedly the type of person who carries a lot of emotional baggage."
Nijika couldn't help but wonder if Bocchi the Rock! could last a lifetime.
"Me?"
Hakushu smiled and shook his head.
"Don't want a guitar?"
Rana Yo reached out and tugged on Hakushu's sleeve, suddenly saying.
It seemed that the thought of a lifetime had piqued her interest slightly.
"A guitar?"
Hakushu looked at Rana Yo and considered it. Adding another rhythm guitarist wouldn't be a bad idea.
However, he'd have to discuss it with Aine Chihaya. After all, they hadn't initially considered adding another guitarist.
And Rana Yo's skills were quite strong. Having a skilled person join would be a good thing, but would it be a waste of her talent? Besides, he didn't know how good Aine Chihaya was.
The other girls were also looking at Hakushu with anticipation.
If possible, everyone hoped Rana Yo could find a band.
Although there were bands that invited her, she didn't like any of them.
Hitori Gotoh's gaze was the most eager. If Rana Yo had a band, wouldn't she be safe!
After thinking, Hakushu replied, "I'll ask about this."
Rana Yo nodded slightly and continued eating her snacks without a care.
