Chapter 343: Explosion Release
The night grew darker.
Masahiko and his group of four followed Deidara and Kurotsuchi on a brief tour of the Hidden Stone Village. Now, they were walking out of the village with the two.
Two miles west of the Hidden Stone Village, halfway up a mountain, stood a few dilapidated Earth Release houses. This was Deidara's home outside the village.
Masahiko looked from afar and shook his head in slight speechlessness. "To even blow up your own house... there's really no one else like you."
Kurotsuchi spoke up beside him, "Uncle Shanks, are you really going to live here with Big Brother Deidara?"
"Things are too expensive in the Hidden Stone Village; I can't afford to live there," Masahiko joked. "Living here, I can also help you keep an eye on Deidara. You can tell that Kakkou behind you to withdraw; there's no need to follow him anymore."
"It's Uncle Kakkou," Kurotsuchi corrected.
"Kakkou (Spark)? Explosions..." Masahiko murmured. "Quite a fitting match."
Beside them, Deidara remained silent with a wooden face. These people were moving into his house without considering his feelings at all.
But he didn't voice any refusal, because he hadn't exacted his revenge for this morning yet... and more importantly, he knew that even if he refused, it wouldn't be of any use.
"Then Red-haired Uncle, I'll be leaving first. See you tomorrow," Kurotsuchi waved goodbye.
Masahiko also waved to Kurotsuchi and turned to Deidara. "Which one is your room?"
"The one on the far left. Un!" Deidara was very cooperative.
Masahiko smiled at him, knowing he was cooking up some scheme inside, but he wasn't afraid in the slightest.
"Then I'll take the second room, Kimimaro the third, then Karin, and Haku on the far right. It's getting late, everyone go back and rest. There's training tomorrow."
Everyone dispersed, except for Karin, who hesitated for a moment before tiptoeing over to Masahiko.
"What, you want to sleep in the same room as me?" Masahiko raised an eyebrow.
Karin rolled her eyes at him and spoke with a gossipy face: "Great Elder, did you notice that Deidara kept secretly looking at Haku?"
Masahiko was shocked. "No way."
"Really, truly! Great Elder, I noticed it several times," Karin said with a smile full of wicked amusement.
Masahiko pondered for a moment, then sighed. "He looks at Haku and not you. Don't you know why in your heart?"
Karin's smile froze. She turned and went back to her room. Friendship over!
Masahiko watched her leave and walked towards his room full of heavy thoughts. "Is Haku's charm... really that great?"
...
Late at night.
Masahiko lay flat on his bed with his eyes closed. In his heart, he was considering whether he should have Haku wear some disguise. It was truly unbearable to captivate people wherever 'he' went. Even a child as 'uniquely gifted' as Deidara couldn't resist 'his' charm...
"Hmm?" Just then, Masahiko suddenly sensed some unusual chakra fluctuations. He extended his right hand towards the window, and over a dozen small white spiders were pulled in by his attractive force.
"Eh?" A suppressed exclamation from Deidara came from the next room. "Art is an explosion! Katsu!"
"Not sleeping in the middle of the night and blowing things up? I'll blow up your head," Masahiko laughed and cursed. He suppressed the chakra fluctuations on the dozen or so white spiders, kneaded them together with his hands, opened his door, and threw them straight through the window into Deidara's room.
"Alright, explode now."
"Damn it..."
Boom!
Masahiko sensed slightly and nodded in satisfaction. "Can sleep well now, right?"
Deidara had fainted...
...
The next day, early morning.
Masahiko led Kimimaro and the others through some simple training when he saw Kurotsuchi walking over with a smile. Beside her was a simple and honest-looking chubby boy—Akatsuchi.
"Uncle, you're up early! Where's Big Brother Deidara?"
Masahiko smiled. "He'll probably sleep until noon. You came at just the right time, Kimimaro and the others just finished their warm-up..."
"You don't want to spar this early in the morning, do you?"
"Didn't you want to take your grandfather's Tsuchikage position? You can't do that without hard work. Come here, come here, you and..." Masahiko frowned slightly, a bit hesitant.
Kurotsuchi's strength was somewhat stuck in the middle. Karin wasn't her match, and Kurotsuchi wouldn't be a match for Haku or Kimimaro.
The young girl Kurotsuchi was very understanding. "I'll spar with Karin, I'll go easy on her."
Karin clenched her fists tightly on the side, veins popping on her forehead...
Masahiko turned and looked at Karin with a smile. "Unhappy, right? Falling behind means taking a beating. Come over here and take your beating!"
Karin: "..."
Letting the two girls go to the side to 'bond', Masahiko looked at the chubby Akatsuchi. Akatsuchi smiled honestly and bowed, greeting him.
Masahiko pondered slightly and turned to Kimimaro and Haku. "You two go together."
After a moment of hesitation, Masahiko added, "Go easy on him."
"Understood, God!" Kimimaro, the militant one, responded decisively and charged towards Akatsuchi.
Masahiko shook his head helplessly. He didn't mean for Kimimaro to go easy. As expected, upon their first clash, Kimimaro was sent flying backward.
The subsequent battle also proved that Masahiko's senses were not wrong. This 12-year-old chubby boy, Akatsuchi, was unexpectedly strong.
Apart from a disadvantage in speed, both his chakra and physical strength were far above Haku and Kimimaro's.
Even with the two of them attacking together, they could only barely protect themselves against Akatsuchi's continuous Earth Release ninjutsu and stall for time against him.
"A harmless-looking, honest chubby boy is indeed easy to overlook," Masahiko shook his head with a smile. "This kind of talent for Earth Release is not common."
On Karin's side, the situation was even more critical.
Only now did Masahiko realize that Kurotsuchi was also a Kekkei Genkai ninja. The continuous Quicklime she spat from her mouth left Karin covered in dust and looking miserable.
"Deidara hasn't even joined the fight yet, and we can't win three-on-two. Kimimaro and the others still need to grow," Masahiko sighed slightly and walked to the side.
He had piled up a heap of white clay here, all of which he had swiped from Deidara's room this morning.
He wanted to test if he could learn the Hidden Stone Village's Explosion Release secret jutsu. Anyone could learn this, but only Deidara used it best. Because he was 'uniquely gifted', this secret jutsu became a Kekkei Genkai ninjutsu in his hands...
Half a minute later, Masahiko pinched a small white ball with the same chakra fluctuation as yesterday's clay spiders and smiled, shaking his head. "For a senior like me who knows everything, there is no difficulty at all. The Land of Whirlpools has gained another secret jutsu inheritance."
Masahiko pondered slightly and used both hands to 'mold' the clay, wanting to give it a different appearance.
However, he encountered difficulties this time. No matter how he pinched and molded it, it always looked terrible...
"Do I really have to use my mouth to bite it?"
Masahiko hesitated for a long time before grabbing a piece of clay, putting it in his mouth, and starting to chew.
"Tastes pretty good, a bit sweet." Masahiko chewed and chewed, and subconsciously blew air into it, wanting to blow a bubble...
"Pah pah pah!" Masahiko's face was covered in dark lines as he spat out a small ball with teeth marks on it.
"How on earth do you chew this thing into a spider?" Masahiko looked speechless. He pinched and molded it for a long time before finally making a... grenade.
Weighing it in his hand, he tossed it backhandedly towards Deidara's room. "Fire in the hole!"
