Two days later, in the Disciplinary Committee office, Elion walked in with calm, steady steps. His hands were in his pockets, and his expression was relaxed.
The moment he entered, he noticed William and the three girls standing off to the side. They were not seated like the others. They were near the corner of the room, looking uneasy and trying to look small.
Elion glanced at them briefly before turning his attention to the large oval table in the center.
His brows lifted slightly in surprise.
Almost all the seats were filled.
There were eighteen seats around the table in total. The last time he had been here, when he had been invited to join the committee, there had only been four people present. Celeste, Liora, Evander, and Cedric.
Now, nearly every chair was occupied.
William glared at Elion's back as he walked further into the room, but Elion did not bother looking at him.
