Elion plopped down onto his bed late into the night.
The celebration outside had continued for hours, but his thoughts were still lingering on the conversation he had shared with Zenovia and Aeron earlier.
He certainly hoped the remaining trials would not pit them against one another in a fight to the death or something equally terrible. After everything they had experienced together, it would be an unfortunate turn of events if he was forced to kill them.
Zenovia especially.
He stared up at the ceiling for a while, but sleep evaded him.
Eventually, Elion released a quiet sigh and pushed himself off the bed. He stepped out onto the balcony and rested his hands against the railing, looking down at the vibrant city below.
Even at this late hour, Haven remained vibrant with activity.
