Elion raised a brow.
"Is that so…?"
Marilyn nodded.
"It is mostly to address the accusations levied against you. I cannot claim that the justice system in this kingdom is entirely fair, but I would advise you to prepare a strong defense, which, as I mentioned, the alliance is willing to assist you with."
She folded her hands upon the desk.
"Dawncrest has allies, and they will undoubtedly support him, but he also has plenty of enemies who would be more than happy to see him fall, especially after his mindless actions in Grimholt."
Her expression became more serious.
"Regardless of what justification he presents for destroying that manor, the fact remains that his actions were unwarranted. People could have been gravely injured or, worse, killed."
