Chapter 30 - CHAPTER 30

LUMIEL's "BINGO" begins with a sticky, low whistle.

A tempting, whisper-like whistle carried the low tempo and low key—but YOUR TYPE's "BINGO" was different.

The melody was the same, but instead of a whistle, an electronic tone—something you'd expect from a video game—rang throughout the quiet venue.

The screen glittered, and a rectangular system window popped up next.

「START?」

The cursor on the semi-transparent window moved on its own and clicked the button. Soon after, the entire screen lit up with a game-style interface.

A very simple and clean, graphic-like residential street. A status bar and calendar floating above it.

The office worker fan instantly recognized what it was referencing.

'Is this… ProXess Maker?'

The calendar in the upper-right corner flipped to the next page, the spotlight turned on, and in the center stood a trainee wearing a white beret—Zixuan—smiling brightly.

–Oh– oh– oh oh– oh– oh

With a light humming voice, he moved leisurely. It was familiar, but unlike LUMIEL's "BINGO," a faster piano line underlaid the song. A string bass with perfect sound balance supported it.

As the music flowed, the screen's background changed. What appeared next was a bright alley with a clear sky backdrop.

Zixuan approached two trainees hidden in the darkness and lightly tapped them. The two, stiff like mannequins, suddenly looked lively and smiled.

"Ah…!"

Among those figures hidden in the dark, the office worker immediately recognized one face—Won Yu-ha, the one she and the fansite master had waited so long to see!

–A meeting with a stranger

But I already know you 200%

–A schedule prepared to get your heart

A perfect day one begins

Following Won Yu-ha, who opened the song with a refreshing voice, Aiden Lee stepped out with playful steps, taking the lead.

Now three trainees, they moved left toward two teammates standing beside a bicycle prop.

As they moved, the background on the screen shifted. Soon it displayed the front of a school building.

–That girl walking over there

–The moment I meet you, today changes

A light shone on two newly revealed trainees, their bright smiles gleaming.

With a lively face, Hwang Young-oh stretched while looking into the distance with a playful gesture. Kim Tae-young followed, showing a relaxed smile and a smooth body wave as a point move, guiding all five trainees across the stage along with the shifting background.

Now they stood inside the school, beside two more trainees by the windows.

–Thump-thump, my heart's racing

–No time to doubt if it's real or a misunderstanding

From the two previously motionless trainees, Kim Tae-young sprang forward first, jolting his body as if to show his pounding heartbeat. Joo dan-woo also smiled gently and joined the formation.

–Among countless choices, just one Bingo

Make me choose that answer

Colorful lights lit the stage, and the five gathered at the center. The screen switched to a sky-blue background, speech bubbles and system windows popping up and disappearing repeatedly.

Playful and mischievous electronic sounds mixed with a lively 808 beat, and someone's humming layered over it.

A refreshing voice. The office worker recognized it easily as Won Yu-ha's voice from his 1-minute PR video.

–I know you know(The game is start)I know you know(The game is start)

A sequence-like flow of members joining one by one transitioned smoothly into synchronized group choreography. The way they clustered like afterimages and spread out again made the audience cheer.

–Hurry and come closer (come closer)Hurry and tell me (tell me)Hurry and hold me (hold me)

The vibe was completely different from LUMIEL's pleading "BINGO."A fresh, charming appeal: pick me, choose me.

Earlier they highlighted each member as a unique character, but during the hook, everyone came together in crisp, coordinated group dance.

The choreography was varied, but the balance of point moves and group synchronization added dynamics without complexity, strengthening the stage's overall narrative.

–say HI! I greet you–so FINE! The weather's great today–Not someday, but today–say YES! Tell me you have time

so I want you you you~girl

Precise movements, playful acting in pairs and trios, and the chemistry between characters created a refreshing delight for the audience.

On top of that, the harmonies blended perfectly with the music, making each member's voice shine more.

That harmony was created by both Won Yu-ha and Aiden Lee. Through the background vocals—duets and group parts—the song became richer.

As the members who had been dancing together split to the sides, one trainee emerged front and center—a confident smile, striking visuals.

–From the moment I open my eyesYour pop-up remainsFollowing that timeline (come in)

Looking straight ahead, sometimes glancing at the audience with a bright smile, the trainee delivered a smooth rap accented with light waves.

–Between True or False, no one else exists (Nothin')Only you—checktruth from youCompleting a story only we know (all in)You—at the end of this quest, there's only youI'll throw away my worries within the time limitDon't hesitate—find it hereThe answer you'll choose is me

Other trainees backed him with overlapping lines. In the second verse, they performed with even more confidence.

–All your familiar timesFill your happiness 200%–A schedule only for the two of usEvery day a new DAY1–The moment I meet you, tomorrow changes

The screen shifted again—schoolyard, classroom, amusement park, movie theater. Over them, heart-shaped bars and choice prompts flashed.

Between fast-paced transitions of graphics, trainees paired up, teasing and supporting each other, showing off their charms.

For the audience—and for the "player" who would choose them.

–Thump-thump, my heart racingNo time to doubt if it's real or a misunderstandingAmong countless choices, just one Bingo–Make me choose that answer

The group formed again. The iconic bodywork from LUMIEL's "BINGO" was transformed into a fresh, energetic point choreo with no stickiness.

Light-footed steps layered into increasingly complex formations as the song raced toward its finale.

–I know you know(The game is start)I know you know(The game is start)

–Hurry and come closer (come closer)Hurry and tell me (tell me)Hurry and hold me (hold me)

From within the formation, the main vocal stopped in place. Throughout the whole performance, he had led the song and enriched it with layered background vocals—Won Yu-ha now stood still under a softened atmosphere during the bridge.

–The moment we've been waiting for is about to become realBecause for me, it's only youoh– oh– oh– yeah~

And then—a burst of explosive high notes.

'Is he… insane?'

The office worker fan unconsciously dropped her jaw, staring blankly at Won Yu-ha as he shot up a piercing, sky-splitting high note.

The office worker fan immediately recognized that the note had not changed even slightly from the original key that LUMIEL's main vocal, Yoo A-yeon, used to sing.

But at the same time, the ad-lib was completely different from the original.

Where Yoo A-yeon had mixed in a light falsetto to create a seductive feel, Won Yu-ha sang it with a solid, powerful chest voice. With explosive volume, like setting off fireworks, he brought out the refreshing and dynamic mood of the song to its fullest.

The unwavering high note that soared endlessly, followed by the stable hook, left the office worker fan with her mouth hanging open.

–say HI! I greet you–so FINE! The weather's great today

While the office worker fan was still unable to collect herself, Won Yu-ha was already back in formation dancing, as if nothing had happened.

Even while catching his breath, his singing didn't waver at all.

'What… the…'

The office worker fan screamed instinctively, shaking her slogan like a person possessed.

She couldn't help it.

–Not someday, but today–say YES! Tell me you have time

Won Yu-ha, smiling brightly side-by-side with the other trainees, looked so incredibly happy.

As if he were soaking in the moment, full of refreshing energy, unable to contain the joy running through his whole body—there was no way to sit still while feeling that.

–so I want you you you~girl

The trainees paired off again, the beat finally settling. The seven gathered with fresh expressions, taking their positions. The center stepped forward again and hummed.

–Oh– oh– oh oh– oh– oh

Then he sat down in place. Like a scene from a game trailer, the seven froze in the center with a giant game window behind them, each striking their final pose.

Slowly, a sentence began to type itself onto the screen behind them.

「Who's your type?」

Along with the blinking text—like a game cursor—the faces of the seven trainees, each taking a breath, appeared slowly on the side screens.

"WAAAAAAAH!!!!"

"They're insane! INSANE!!"

"AAAAAAAH!!!!"

A roar loud enough to shake the venue pierced the office worker fan's ears.

Even after the song ended, the office worker fan stared blankly at Won Yu-ha, who held his ending pose with a fresh smile.

Like a mist drifting over her head, the images she had just seen flickered past.

Won Yu-ha walking forward with a bright smile and hair swaying, the ad-libs he'd added throughout the other members' parts, the insane high note he shot up at the end.

"WAAAAH! Yuha!! Yuha!!!!"

"...."

Mixed with the deafening cheers was the familiar voice of her fangirl friend somewhere behind her, crying like she was wailing.

And the office worker fan realized, instinctively:

'I'm never escaping this bias.'

…Yeah.

"Huff… huff… huff…"

After coming down from the stage, I stared blankly at the system window floating before my eyes.

「Talent (Focus) Stat Up!」

Talent (Focus): C → A+ (Stat +6, Lock Released–Synchronization Complete)

"..."

Synchronization of the focus stat… completed?

I couldn't even bring myself to open the status window. I just stayed still, catching my breath, trying to recall what had just happened.

'…How many years has it been since I last performed?'

The moment I stepped onto the stage, and the moment I saw the audience looking at me, that thought flickered hazily through my mind.

During the five years I promoted as Lightning, I stood on many stages, but during the one year before my death, I couldn't even secure a single proper schedule.

There was no way to meet fans. Even the few local events we used to get stopped entirely. And after the car accident destroyed my leg, and after the members finally fled to save themselves, I thought it was over.

That I would never stand on a stage again.

…That I would never feel that kind of cheering again.

'I thought I'd never sing again.'

If I hadn't died—and if that death hadn't brought me back to the past—my life would have gone exactly as I'd expected.

But someone sent me back, and I ended up standing on a stage I thought I'd never return to again.

And when I met those dark eyes watching me from the crowd—

Honestly, I don't remember much after that.

'…Did I enjoy it?'

I think I did. I didn't even realize I was smiling… but I think I kept smiling the whole time.

'…Was I happy?'

I think… I was.

I inhaled deeply and let it out. My heart was still thundering.

'That's not what matters right now.'

To steady my melted-like brain, I regulated my breathing and tried to think—why had the focus stat completed synchronization?

For a single performance, I expected maybe one or two level increases at best.

But it completely unlocked?

'…What's the criteria?'

I had no idea, which only made it more confusing.

Why did the system throw this kind of "luck" at me?How did I manage a full synchronization?

I still didn't know, but one thing was certain:

'It really wants me to debut.'

The system was desperately trying to debut me—and thrilled about it.

Once my breathing finally calmed, I stood up. Joo dan-woo, who had been catching his breath beside me, asked with a flushed face:

"Yuha, are you okay?"

"Hoo… I'm okay."

I took the water Joo dan-woo handed me and nodded. My legs were shaking so badly the moment I came offstage that I collapsed right there.

'…D+ in Stamina was doing its best.'

If my stamina hadn't increased, I would've been carried to the hospital.

I sighed quietly and closed the bottle cap. My teammates were buzzing with excitement as they chatted.

"Did you hear the audience? That was insane!"

"With this kind of reaction, isn't it okay to get our hopes up?"

"God, please. That's my wish."

"YOUR TYPE team, please move to the waiting room~."

"Yes!!"

We followed the staff to the evaluation waiting room. Even then, my heart wouldn't calm down and kept pounding, so I took a small breath—and someone threw an arm around my shoulder.
