Chapter 2 - day 2

The worn leather seats, where uncomfortable to say the least but it was better than nothing when your on a budget, catching a glimpse of myself in the glass, as the bus slowly left the station, it was wrong, the feeling that weighed me down constantly every time I saw my reflection. A Cruel reminder that haunted me daily. The man in the mirror wasn't me, and I don't know if I ever will see me again, but one can dream right.

Staring at me with cold steel eyes, and a head full of black hair with a couple of white strands of hair, that fell against my forehead, going lower down there was a scar slashed in between my brows, and a couple more spread out across, but the most disturbing one of them all, the one that made my body instinctively twitch every time I looked at it, was on my left cheek, the letter J Branded by a mad mad The clown himself, The Joker.

Every night since I've woken up in this body, I could barely sleep, always waking up dead in the night drenched with sweat, clutching onto my face, hearing The clowns laugh ringing in my ears. The longest I've ever gone without waking up was one hour, one hour.

Because that's when he took his lunch break, That was the only time Jason ever got without torture.

Stating at the reflection of the glass one last time, as the bus stopped, a sharp static noise coming from a radio embedded into the bus rang.

"If you don't get off my bus you homeless bum, I will throw you off, you hear me This your stop! You lucky I'm evening driving you here in the first place."

With a small light smile, I stood up from my seat and walked down the aisle, where a white brown haired woman, dressed in a baggy black sweater and a even baggier pants, glared at me with her brown eyes as she smoked.

"And I'm thankful you do bells, and hey when the world ends you know I'll take care of you."

She huffed at my words rolling her eyes as she waved her hand at the door signaling me to get off, she was a nice person underneath all that personality, and she's one of the people I was definitely going to save.

"Whatever you crazy bum, get out of here, I got places to be and people to drop off."

Getting off the bus and giving her a short wave, she offered me the finger just like she always does, truly she was the one person in Atlanta that cared for me more or less.

Walking down the side walks, until I passed some building there she was home sweet home.

A giant abandoned warehouse, that used to be home to alot of homeless people but now wasent because a gang took over it a couple months ago, that suddenly disappeared two weeks after my arrival to who knows, at least that's what everyone believes.

"Boss! Your back!"

Running out of the warehouse was a six foot eight huge jacked Hawaiian man, dressed in a grey muscle shirts and a pair of black shorts, alongside flip flops, his name was Jax the former second hand of there now destroyed gang that I didn't bother to remember the name, it was seals or something fish related don't know.

"How you doing Jax, did we get shipment."

I reformed their group of hard heads, and took up the mantle as their boss, now they do what I say no matter how strange or stupid it might be, and if they have a problem with it they can ask their former boss who is buried deep in the ground underneath a trash heap.

But hey unlike their former boss, I wasent a piece of shit, that was a bonus still they weren't getting paid…he upped me on that one more or less, but but, when the world ends they would be thanking god they joined my side, after all once everything goes to shit a safe place a safe community, a safe home was rare, and I will be offering that, that was my plan and that's why the things I was doing where important.

I plan to make Atlanta a stronghold against the undead, a beacon for all survivors to come to live without being scared, that was my biggest goal.

"Yes sir everything accounted for, I'll show you."

Jax said, leading me inside i saw a lot more new faces than I thought, good that means the recruiting process was going great, still how on earth did he manage to bring these guys in, I did tell him about the money situation…

Whatever the warehouse situation was looking even better than before when it was just me, scraping by for resources now we had a whole section divided into medicine, foods, produce, barrels filled with water, and even medical equipment, but there was more this wasent even a portion of it, how do we get this well a necessary felony for the good of the people never hurt anybody.

But it was also the reason I was wanted by the state, still they don't know how I looked like since I was wearing my mask, all they got was a drawing made by one of the fellows i robbed along the way.

Passing the section Jax spoke.

"We've gotten new blood lately, family most of them there all good people boss, the others are ex cons looking for something to past the time, drifters really just wearing the clothes for protection other than that the police, have been sniffing around lately asking about us, but they won't get anywhere pulled some favor we where owed and got them thrown off are asses."

Casting a look at Jax he was doing pretty solid.

"Good work, last thing I need is a couple of sheriffs rolling on us."

Especially the Carl yelling one thankfully he ain't here.
