Chapter 23 - CHAPTER - 23 MEETING OF ANDREW, DAGGER FRIEND AND GUARDIAN OF LOST DIAMOND

AT HOGWARTS,

The halls of Hogwarts lay wrapped in a heavy silence, the kind that feels alive and watching. In the center of the Headmaster's office, under the soft golden glow of the floating candles, Harry Potter stood holding a thick, ancient diary—the private journal of Albus Dumbledore. The moment his fingers touched its worn leather cover, the entire room stiffened.

Miss Amelia's face paled. Professor Minerva McGonagall tightened her shawl, her eyes sharp with worry and curiosity. Hagrid shifted his weight nervously, his massive form looming protectively near the students. Ron and Hermione stood flanking Harry, their breaths held without realizing it. Neville, Draco, and Luna grouped near Hagrid, each of them carrying a strange mixture of fear and excitement.

Neville finally broke the tension. "Why would Dumbledore hide his diary for so many years? And why would James ask us to find it now?"

Ron exhaled slowly. "And why was the key tucked behind our photo album in Dumbledore ancestral house? But the Diary is in farm house in another form and phoenix as guarding it. Did Dumbledore know something about Voldemort coming back? Or… something worse?"

Minerva nodded slowly. "You're asking the right questions, Mr. Weasley. Every answer leads us to more mysteries. That is the curse and brilliance of Albus Dumbledore."

Miss Amelia smiled softly. "You truly are a remarkable woman, Minerva. Sensible, sharp, and worthy of Hogwarts' leadership." Minerva bowed her head in gratitude, but Amelia continued, "But even your wisdom may not be enough for what lies ahead."

Hermione whispered, "I believe the answers we seek are in this diary. Dumbledore never hid anything without a reason. Perhaps he passed knowledge to Dagger… and Dagger to James."

Hagrid grunted. "Aye… If Albus hid this, there's somethin' important in it. Somethin' we need now."

Harry's face tightened with determination. He opened the diary, took a quill, and wrote gently:

Mr. Diary… what secrets do you hold? Why did Dumbledore hide you? Please help us. We are in danger.

The diary shimmered. Words began appearing in glowing blue ink:

I hold memories, secrets of Hogwarts, ancient knowledge of Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin, and the hidden truths Dumbledore guarded. Ask what you seek.

Everyone gasped.

Ron's eyes widened. "Ask about the ancient secrets!"

Harry hesitated—then wrote:

Tell me about Dumbledore's research on Gryffindor and Slytherin… and the gemstone connected to their families. And why Seraphine Slytherin never received the Slytherin diamond.

Ron nearly choked. "Harry! Why would you ask that?!"

Draco snapped, "We don't have time for mistakes. The Dark Army can attack any moment."

Hermione stepped forward. "Actually… Harry may be right. All of this ties back to the Four Founders. But Amelia told us something else—the true ancient four: Aldric Gryffindor, Helian Hufflepuff, Selene Ravenclaw, and Seraphine Slytherin. The ones who carried the soul of the magical world."

Everyone fell silent, their minds racing.

The diary's ink glowed brighter.

Do you seek Godric Gryffindor?Or the hidden secret of the Dark Battle fought by Aldric Gryffindor?

Harry froze. "Dark Battle? Generations before the Founders?"

A stunned silence spread across the room.

Then—chaos broke the stillness.

Scene shift — Andrew's house

Night fell thickly around an ancient, decaying house at the edge of the magical forest. James Potter, Dagger, and their friends approached cautiously. Animals roamed around, hens clucking nervously, pigs rustling in the shadows. Thorn Claw, the giant beast loyal to Dagger, growled beside them.

"Stay here," James whispered to Thorn Claw.

Inside the house, the air felt wrong—cold, heavy, and suffocating.

Dagger raised his wand. "Everyone, be prepared. Something evil is here. Mirael, protect the others."

Miss Mirael nodded. Her wand glowed faintly.

Suddenly, Albus looked up sharply. "Dementors."

A chill swept through everyone. Rose and Scorpius moved to James's side instantly."We're ready," they said.

"Expecto Patronum!"Light exploded across the room, forming a powerful shield.

Hundreds of Dementors swarmed around the house.

James took command. "Rose, Scorpius—protect them. Dagger and I will block the front."

Dagger mounted Thorn Claw and chanted, "Exuro Anima Tenebris!"Cursed fire spiraled into a vortex, devouring Dementors and Death Eaters.

James lifted his wand, eyes blazing. Fifty Dementors and twenty Death Eaters rushed toward him.

Rose screamed his name.

James slammed his wand into the ground."Protego Maximum Eterna!"

A giant transparent shield erupted, covering everyone.

Miss Mirael stared at him—shocked, mesmerized.

And then James unleashed the spell that changed everything.

"Mors Solaria!"

A violent blast of pure radiant power erupted, ripping through the dark creatures. The air shook. Light burst from his wand like a second sun.

Dagger's jaw fell open.Miss Mirael whispered to herself, trembling, "How can he wield both Gryffindor's light and Slytherin's darkness…?"

The battlefield fell silent.

Rose ran and threw her arms around James."I was so scared…"

James held her gently. "Don't be. I can protect myself."

Scorpius hugged James next, laughing breathlessly.

But the moment of peace shattered with a scream.

"AHHHHHH!"

Everyone rushed inside the house.

Andrew lay slumped in a chair, bleeding from multiple stab wounds. And in the shadows stood a tall figure cloaked in black.

Dagger froze.His voice cracked.

"Voldemort…?"
