Kasi stood silently on top of the Hokage Monument, Minato's stone face staring at the village. His mind was busy, sorting through of memories and visions he had when he woke up.
After waking, he had seen it — a world without him. Like a story playing on a screen, he watched events unfold as if he'd never existed and watched the future where he did not exist.
In that world, the Nine-Tails' rebellion had been orchestrated by Obito. Minato had fought bravely, alone, kusina perising along side hi and Naruto had grown up ignorant of his family until the Pain invasion no uncle existed there to say otherwise. Kasi watched the boy's life, every hardship, every lonely moment. He saw the potential inside Naruto being wasted but his condition improved when tsunade came along, the Asura chakra he carried, the path he would eventually take alongside Sasuke and the Indra reincarnation. Kasi personally didn't wanted some thing influencing his nephew but he was not able to anything to assura chakra so he just toss it back to his mind for the future.
And then Kasi's thoughts returned to his own world — his world where he had existed. He remembered the battle that had almost ended him. Edo-Tensei Third Raikage had struck, even at thirty percent of his original power, and had managed to injure him. Kasi had been strong, almost at a quasi-Kage level. He suspected that someone — perhaps Black Zetsu — had orchestrated it. The Edo-Tensei of the Raikage might have been meant to aid Obito, keeping him occupied, ensuring Obito could compelete his plan.
Kasi exhaled slowly, letting the memories settle. (Kasi saw Naruto childhood there that's why immediately after recovering a little bit here Kasi went to check the reality and it chilled his heart. there was a moment where he wanted to raze the village to ground when he saw the treatment of naruto but he controlled that impulse. he was a shinobi who at one time loved this village, his brother protected this village with his life, his sister-in-law also did the same. Naruto can have a better childhood after he finish his work this week that was the only reason he didn't kill all the people who mistreated naruto)
