Greg's POV
Mr Delavega has been coming to the office everyday since the day I talked to him and I must say I think I missed not having him around. But he was sticking to my advice on leaving Miss Cruz for sometime but she still hasn't shown up and Mr Delavega's definitely getting cranky.
One afternoon, I continued with my work for the day but during lunch break, I was surprised to see Miss Cruz at the reception and she looked like she was arguing with the receptionist and was that-was that security!?I had to go and solve it, how can you argue the future Mrs Delavega unless you're asking for a death wish. She even had the nerve to call security for her but I stopped them before they could do anything and I had to fire her cuz if Mr Delavega found out, things would have been worse for her, he would make calls and make every company reject her so she'd be jobless and black listed but since I'm not that ruthless, I just fired her. Miss Cruz didn't say anything but followed me to the elevator. After me introducing my self, I led her to Mr Delavega's office and asked her to wait. I went to the boardroom where the meeting was held and I whispered to Mr Delavega that Miss Cruz was waiting in his office and for the first time since I joined the company, he adjourned a meeting, an important one at that. He left for his office and my colleagues and I were left puzzled.
Tristan's POV
Since I was absent from work for quite a while, workload had increased, there were contracts to sign, presentations to hear, meetings to attend and collaborations to form and it made me start wondering what Trevor and Greg were doing in the company. One day at lunch break I couldn't go eat because I had an important meeting to attend but Greg's not to be part of that meeting since I gave him a lot of work and I told him that he shouldn't come and interrupt the meeting unless it was seriously urgent. The meeting had gone on for about an hour when Greg broke into the room and at that moment I knew it was important. He came and whispered to me that Miss Cruz was here and is waiting in my office. I missed her cute little face so much that I wanted to see her immediately. I adjourned the meeting to tomorrow and immediately rushed to my office only not to find her there. I walked to the center of the room then I saw the door to my cabin was open, I moved there silently only to find Trish feeling lost in my bed. She rolled around the bed and my throat started to go dry and I started feeling hot. I watched her for quite a while feeling amused by her actions.
She finally noticed my presence and looked so shocked but I told her to make herself comfortable and she ran out of the cabin embarrassed. We talked and after her telling me that she had a bad dream of me I don't know what came over me but I got up from my seat and leaned in towards her. She tried to get up but I pushed her back down and her trying to resist made me want to kiss her even more. And I was about to do it when the door was pushed open. We both looked at the door only to see Greg's staring at us. I gave him a death stare saying you better run or you'll regret it and he turned around and left.
When he left I followed Trish to the sofa area and put on a serious face saying it was time for business. I went back into my CEO mode and asked her, "So Miss Cruz, have you made a decision about the job offer?"
"Yes,I accept the offer but I have some conditions." she replied and I almost wanted to make a happy dance cuz she accepted, she finally accepted but I had to play it cool. "Okay, let's hear them." I said.
" Firstly, I should get the same salary as others, I mean as every assistant would get, treat me as every other employee and most importantly, don't mix our personal affairs with business then we've got ourselves a deal." she said. " I can guarantee you the first and second but I can't make any promises about the last one." I honestly told her. "It's okay as long as you don't get in the way of my work. So should I take it that you've forgiven me?!" she said. "Sure I will but only if you stop calling me sir or Mr Delavega." I said to her while getting closer. "But sir, what-" she was still saying but I stopped her by placing my lips on hers. I actually kissed her! but I didn't make it deep because it would be inappropriate.
"From now on if you call me sir or Mr Delavega, I swear I'll kiss you no matter where you are or who's watching, understood?!" I said to her and she cutely nodded her head and stood up getting her stuff then ran out. I was left alone laughing at how she was blushing and I touched my lips and I could still feel her warmth. "Trish, I hope you continue calling me sir, so that I can get free kisses from you." I said to myself My love for her keeps on getting stronger and stronger each day and that is making me wonder what spell she cast on me since I met her.
Trish's POV
I ran out of his office with my heart beating so fast like I ran a marathon. My face was red and I could still feel the warmth of his lips on mine. That was my first kiss and it wasn't romantic at all but for some reason I wished he'd deepened it cuz I couldn't get enough of it. I snapped myself out of it not believing I could have such perverted thoughts. When I finally got a hold of myself, I noticed the secretaries staring at me and gossiping. I lowered my head out of embarrassment and walked towards the elevator as fast as I could.
"Aaaaah,whaaaaaaat!?!!! Girl are you serious or you just pulling my leg." Wendy exclaimed excited after I told her and Brian about it.
"Like you actually kissed Mr Delavega-on the lips!" Brian said still doubting. "No no no no no no, correction he kissed me, not the other way round."I corrected him. " Oh what's the difference." Wendy said and I told them everything.
" See! told you he likes you otherwise why would he be hitting on you. We're always right so you should be listening more often to us in the future. Wendy said after hearing my story. " Why should I? When I did so today I was sent into the lions den, hmph never again." I said
A week had gone by and I have not seen Mr Delavega since and somewhere deep in my heart, I was missing him especially when I recall what happened in his office. Can someone hate and miss someone at the same time. I was still daydreaming when Wendy came and snapped me out of it, " Are you thinking about our hot substitute or should I say Tristan, huh!?" she teased.
"Don't you two ladies know that we are in the examination period, we have a tough paper in the afternoon but here you are, dreaming about a guy who is beyond your reach. I don't want to be known as the guy who only hang out with two female friends who are not as smart as they looked and failed miserably and yet I passed. And you Trish, don't you know that if you fail you won't be able to get that job and probably spend the rest of your life paying off the date and lose that's Mr Hottie of yours so you should be reading like I am." Brian commented. " Okay, okay, party pooper we'll go read and miserably stare at the words in the book waiting for death to take its stall on us until we graduate and leave this miserable campus." Wendy said.
And just like that, a week had gone by and it was finally graduation day. Me, Brian and Wendy passed with second class degrees but were still so happy. The graduation ceremony was held at the field where I could see parents and friends taking pictures with graduates but I was alone. Brian and Wendy also left to be with their families so I sat down in some corner not expecting anyone to come because my parents were way too far and weak to travel, Ava was still not available and my other friends are also graduating. I sat there for about half an hour going through my phone until I saw a familiar figure coming towards me. It was Ava, she had been unreachable ever since she left that I wouldn't know if she was dead or alive but seeing her after such a long time made me emotional. I walked up to her and we hugged for a while. She really surprised me her visit, I honestly thought that she probably never even knew that I was graduating today but her coming when no one else could really touched my heart. We sat down and she started telling me about her life abroad. I also told her about what happened to me in the last few months the debt, Mr Delavega, the job, the kiss and many other stuff. When I was done she also concluded that Mr Delavega liked me but I don't think so. The ceremony was about to end then I saw two familiar figures moving towards us,was it Mr Delavega and Greg,yeah it's definitely them.
"What is he doing here?" I said out loud and Ava looked in their direction and stood up squeezing my hand. "Oh my God, is that Mr Delavega? Wow, he's more handsome than I thought if you don't want him I can take him for myself you know."she said. She's talking to me but I wasn't listening, I was still staring at them coming over. They looked so charming and eye catching. Many people stopped what they were doing to watch them and their movements were in sync which made them even cooler, especially Mr Delavega of course. They reached us and I could hear girls screaming with envy and looking at us with murderous eyes.
"Mr Delavega what are you-" I was still saying but before I could finish my sentence everyone gasped because before I knew it, Mr Delavega or should I say Tristan's lips were against mine and he was sucking the breath out me. He actually kissed me in front of everyone, EVERYONE I mean my whole campus was watching us. After what felt like a long time he let me go.
" What did you do that for?" I burst out. "Didn't I swear to you that I'd kiss you anytime anywhere when you called me Mr Delavega!" he shamelessly said. I hit my head with my hand, how could I have forgotten that. "But it still doesn't justify you doing that at my graduation in front of everyone and without explaining what you're doing here." I said.
" I came to see you. What, is that bad?" he asked. "Yeah cuz we are not close at all." I said. "But if I tell you that I missed you and this was the only opportunity I could get to see you without an excuse!" he said. " How could you be that-" I was still saying. "So what's the plan for the celebration?" he asked interrupting.
"There is no plan. My friend and I were going to go home and have noodles as we watch TV." I said.
Tristan disagreed with my plan and invited me and Ava to go dining with him. We moved to his car and as I was about to sit at the back with Ava, he stopped me telling Greg to sit at the back, we at the front and he'd drive. But Greg didn't agree, how could he let his boss drive him, then Tristan told him to relax.
" I'm not sitting at the front." I said. "And why not?" he asked. " I can't sit at the front cuz I'm not your wife." I said. "And I'm not your driver." he said,opened the door and made me sit in then walked to the other side. In my head I was still arguing with him and forgot to put on my seat belt. He stretched out to get my seatbelt and I asked, "Mr Delavega, what are you-" I was still saying but he silenced me with a kiss then buckled my seatbelt like nothing just happened. I hit my head hard, " Stupid, stupid, stupid, how could you forget again." I said to myself and he smiled at my action. I looked at him thinking to myself that he has such a gorgeous smile. The atmosphere at the front was all quiet but warm while the one at the back was cold. Ava and Greg were awkwardly silent looking at us and when they looked at each other, they both each extended towards their window. I wondered what was up with them.
