POV: ELARA
I couldn't stop shaking.
The battle was over. The Void was sealed. We'd survived. But my hands wouldn't stop trembling, and through the Merge, I felt Kael's matching tremor—the aftershock of how close we'd come to losing everything.
The battlefield was silent now. Hundreds of survivors stood scattered across blood-soaked ground, breathing raggedly, staring at the sky that had nearly torn apart. No one seemed to know what to do with themselves. We'd been fighting for our lives moments ago, and now... now what?
The sky was whole again. Perfectly, impossibly whole. No cracks. No Void bleeding through. Just normal sky, as if reality hadn't almost ended moments ago.
But the scars remained.
