She turned around and called out, "Alright, team, time to move! We'll take the boxes first. Remember, don't overload the elevator. It's got a weight limit, so we'll have to do multiple trips. Move steady, not fast. Got it?"
Her group responded quickly, their voices echoing through the quiet hall. "Yes, leader!"
Bai Li watched them start carrying the first load. They worked smoothly, lifting, balancing, and communicating without chaos. She admired efficiency when she saw it. It reminded her again of teamwork, of structure and rhythm, something she had always valued.
When they were ready for the first trip, Bai Li picked up her own travel bag, the one that held her important things: identity cards, bank information, important documents and many more valuable and important things. She didn't let anyone else touch it.
She followed the group into the elevator, standing silently as the lift started moving upward. The lights reflected softly off her calm face. The others chatted lightly among themselves, but she stayed quiet, lost in thought.
When the doors opened on the twentieth floor, the air felt fresher again. A faint floral scent lingered in the hall. The workers stepped out carefully with the boxes in hand, heading toward the door of the duplex.
Right there, near the door, stood the building manager, waiting with another staff member beside him. The moment he saw Bai Li, he smiled broadly, his usual polite expression mixed with genuine warmth.
"Ah, Miss Bai! Everything went smoothly with the packing, I hope?"
Bai Li nodded slightly. "Yes," she said in her steady voice.
The manager seemed pleased. "Good, good. I asked them to take extra care with your things. The new place has also been cleaned thoroughly."
Bai Li heard him couldn't help but marvel at how fast he works. She couldn't help but say,
"That was quite fast."
The building manager immediately said,
"Haha… It's obvious. Units like these are thoroughly cleaned even week so there's not cleaning to do except for some dust here and there."
Bai Li nodded in understanding as she cast her gaze onto the other man beside the manager,
"And, who might this be?"
The building manager immediately replied,
"Oh.. right. He works in our technical department, you know, repairing and stuff. He is the one who would show you how to set up the password and the iris scan. Da Ming, go ahead and help Miss Bai set up the password."
The man named Da Ming came forward, "Miss, please."
Bai Li followed him and within the next few minutes, he finished showing her completely how to set the password. All of it was quite simple actually, she just downloaded the app mentioned by the manager and logged in using her property credentials and now, she could set any password she wanted through her phone. There was also a manual setting on the lock system itself, she also learned that from him.
He then showed her how to register the iris scan. It could also be done using the app or manually. At the end, she just needed to look into the small pin hole with one of her eyes and it would automatically scan it and register it. She registered both her eyes and also set her unique password herself. Afterwards, the man bowed slightly and said,
"That's all, miss Bai. You can now do these on your own. And you can also apply for a unique custom made card from the app and it should arrive by tonight."
Bai Li thought for a moment and decided against it. She didn't need the card as it was something that could easily get lost. Besides, the password and iris scan were enough.
"No. I won't apply for the card for the moment."
He nodded after hearing her words and continued saying,
"Okay miss."
With that, he walked away. On the other hand, the moving team had already gone ahead and placed the boxes inside and came out for another round.

It took the moving team half an hour to completely move everything from the 10th floor to her new duplex. Afterwards, they left with a few polite greetings.
The building manager also left after congratulating her again and asking her to immediately contact him in case of any problems or help.
Bai Li nodded while also saying a few polite words.
She then finally came inside her new home, closed the door and sat on the large and comfortable sofa placed in the spacious living room. This unit naturally comes equipped with every piece of furniture she might need ranging from beds to sofas to even a refrigerator and even washing machine and many more.
Bai Li was quite satisfied. After all, she did pay 10 million yuan for the down payment. But thankfully, she didn't need to worry about paying the full amount. After all, after 6 more days, the whole world would be in chaos and money would lose its value. Who would even be there to ask her for the rest of the money. The same goes for the bank loan and private loans.
Bai Li leaned comfortably on the sofa. The inside of this unit was far more relaxing than the previous one. It was truly large inside, spacious, comfortable and luxurious. Though it cannot compare to her huge mansion that she owned in her previous life, it was still better. After all, what more can she expect with the meagre amount of money she could gather within such a limited amount of time.
Bai Li took out her phone from her pocket and looked at the time. Right now, it was almost 8 pm. The whole day has gone by since the moment she stepped into this world and her entire day was so busy that she didn't even feel like hours had passed.
But she couldn't rest easy now, she still had a lot of work to do.
She opened her banking app and looked at the amount of 18 million yuan written there and exhaled slightly. She didn't know if this amount would be enough but she hoped it would.
She quickly did a few mental calculations of her next steps. Right now, she urgently needs a few things that she must do.
