That was… a lot to unpack. But more than anything, Naruto had learned to read between the lines. His first reaction was to be rather hurt. His second was a bit outrage. Jiraiya and he had been traveling all over for the last three years. Should he just rejoin Team Seven and trust that Jiraiya could handle himself? Or… should he go to Tsunade now, and protest this? The chances of Jiraiya still being in the village felt vanishingly small, but if he were going to go after the foolhardy Sannin, he would need to convince Tsunade to let him.
Hell, a third option was to try and find a middle ground, beseeching Kakashi and Sakura to come with him to Tsunade and try to get all of Team Seven assigned to tracking Jiraiya down and backing the foolhardy old man up.
Those were his three options, from what Naruto could see. Let things go, stick with Kakashi and Sakura as the newly reformed Team Seven… or leave them to go confront Tsunade alone about the danger Jiraiya was in… or bring them with him to confront Tsunade in the hopes that she would assign the newly reformed Team Seven to helping Jiraiya out.
