Chapter 6 - Cavally

" What's wrong?" Rhea asked, sensing the heavy silence.

Yabal swallowed, unable to look away from her. "Your... your eyes..."

Without a word, Yuga ran to get a mirror and handed it to her.

When she saw her reflection, she gasped.

Suddenly, her eyes returned to normal.

"Oh! They're back to normal!" Angel said, relieved.

"Do you have any idea what that was?" Yabal asked, his tone serious.

"Yeah," Rhea's voice trembled. "I think I know what it is... AND IT'S ONE OF THE REASONS I CAME HERE!!! I want to know what these eyes are that my father gave me!!!"

"Rhea..." Angel worried.

Yabal looked at Léopold, still serious. "You said those writings were on the Dolphin Tree, right? And you're planning to go back."

"That's right," Léopold said. "Since she can decipher it, I guess I don't need to go to the library anymore."

"Then we're going to Cavally tomorrow," Yabal declared, his voice firm.

"I'll come with you," Yuga said.

"Don't you have work tomorrow?" Yabal asked.

"I took time off. Besides, going with you guys will be an adventure for me."

"Okay. No problem," Yabal agreed.

Our heroes had decided to travel tomorrow, to the grand city of Cavally. There, they would find information about the great Lunain clan.

That night, while everyone else was asleep, Yabal and Yuga were talking.

"Do you think she's hiding something from you guys?" Yuga asked.

"Obviously. She's hiding her past," Yabal said. "She'll tell us when she's ready. We all have secrets we don't dare tell anyone."

"Don't you think that friends shouldn't hide anything from each other?"

"Yes, but... it's just that we aren't ready yet."

Léopold joined the discussion. "I've noticed your friend, Angel. He doesn't talk much."

"Angel has... an extraordinary past," Yabal explained. "He lived through a series of traumatic events at a very young age. That trauma resurfaced the day we arrived here, during the encounter with the King of END."

"I'm guessing you have a connection to him, then," Yuga deduced.

"Angel's life is an adventure in itself, full of secrets to uncover. Don't worry about him. He'll be better once we're done with this King of END business."

"Wow," Léopold said. "What are we even talking about."

"You'll have plenty of long adventures with these three, don't worry," Yuga laughed. "I've been learning new things ever since they arrived."

"Alright," Yabal yawned. "I'm exhausted. Goodnight, you two."

"Goodnight," Léopold and Yuga replied.

The three of them went to bed.

Angel, who was sleeping, was having a strange dream. He was standing alone in a void, a completely white place with nothing in it. Suddenly, a black shadow appeared and spoke to him.

<"You! This body does not belong to you. It will return to its rightful owner, be sure of that. The time is near, and I will do everything to guide your actions toward that future.">

Angel was terrified in the dream as the white light faded. His sleep returned to normal.

ON EARTH

In an underwater location, a young boy named Yann was walking through the great city of Atlantis. The place was bathed in coral, filled with futuristic underwater construction. The most remarkable were the underwater transport tubes.

Yann entered one and was moved at high speed toward the city's main building.

At the building's entrance, he saw a small statue of a bird with its eyes closed. It seemed normal until he touched the blue bird statue. The bird's eyes opened, and the ice encasing it shattered, revealing an immense blue phoenix. It was magnificent.

"Ahhh! What is that?" Yann yelled.

"Hello. I am Frozen, the Ice Phoenix," the bird said. "I am a Sacred Beast from Saturn."

"Is that you? Frozen?" Yann asked, stunned.

"YANN?!!!! I didn't even recognize you!"

The Sacred Beast and Yann seemed to know each other. They continued their discussion.

"Luckily for me, I had a bond with a traveler," Frozen said, "otherwise I would have forgotten everything about..."

Yann and Frozen paused for a second and said in unison, "Wait... END has been rewritten again!!"

"At least my old memories are coming back," Yann said.

"You can only remember other travelers, and your own Sacred Beast when END is rewritten," Frozen explained. "We won't remember any of the past events."

"Wow... doesn't matter. Hybrid Mode: Arctic Rebirth Mode."

On Yann's chest, a frozen blue, wing-shaped symbol appeared.

A cold light emanated from his spine, and wings made of dense, slightly translucent frost appeared. Blue markings appeared on his skin, and a sort of ice crown floated above his head.

"Frost Slide."

With this skill, Yann slid on ice that he generated under his feet.

The kid slid upward to exit the underwater city. A part of the dome opened on his approach, and he left the city, finding himself in the sea. He slid across the water to the exit. Using his feet, he was able to freeze the air and slide upward toward the sky. Using his wings, he began to fly over the island, amusing himself.

However, in the other countries of Earth, a great catastrophe was beginning to unfold, and the media was talking about nothing else.

...

On Saturn: In the Saturnine City

It was daylight now, and our heroes were ready for the journey ahead. They were heading to Cavally.

They took a floating taxi that took them to the city's exit.

"Wow, another journey awaits us," Angel said. "I hope everything goes well in this city called Cavally."

"Me too," Yabal replied.

Rhea said nothing.

"Let's get away from the walls a bit," Léopold advised.

Our heroes were heading EAST. After exiting the city, they ran until they were a good distance away.

"Bolt, it's time. You can appear!" Léopold called out.

An enormous winged dragon appeared. It was huge and imposing.

"Do not hesitate to climb on," Bolt's voice rumbled. "I am Bolt, a lightning dragon."

"Whoa!!" Angel exclaimed.

"Awesome!!!" Yabal shouted.

"Yeah!!!" Yuga cheered.

Our heroes climbed onto the dragon's back. It took off into the Saturn sky, heading for Cavally.

"It would take hours to get to Cavally by any other means," Léopold shouted over the wind. "But with Bolt, it will only take us 30 minutes."

Our heroes traveled on the back of the great lightning dragon, admiring the beauty of Saturn. The further they went, the more enormous mountain peaks they encountered. There was even a huge mountain range that ran the entire way. It was magnificent.

Thirty minutes later, our heroes had finally arrived at Cavally, the City of a Thousand Waterfalls. They stood before the city's entrance, dazzled by its grandeur and beauty.

"The city stretched out on the ground, in a vast circular plain surrounded by colossal mountains, so high you could never see their summits.

At the center of these stone giants stood the Great Waterfall of the Heavens, falling from the stratosphere, letting drop not only water from the cascade but also a rain of red petals that covered the entire region.

The city was built around a fascinating network of small waterfalls and rivers born from the titanic fall.

The city was alive, vibrant.

A fine rain of red petals fell continuously.

Pools of cool mist formed at sunrise.

The air smelled of pure water and moss.

The constant sound of small falls created a soothing atmosphere.

The streets were made of stone polished by the water.

The city center was crossed by hundreds of small waterfalls, which is how it got its name."

Léopold smiled. "Welcome to Cavally."
