With the final side quest over and done with, its finally time for corvo to move onto the main mission.
Taking out that arrogant piece of sh*t campbell and getting evidence of Emily's were abouts.
Using his newfound jumping power corvo leaps up onto a door roof(?) then onto a killer support the metal gating and finally jumping up with an accompanying blink to a ledge that Circles around the building.
Taking the laid out path slowly to avoid anyone catching sight of his shadow, he makes it through a window and into the building, right in front of the door he needs to get something from first.
Opening the door directly in front of the window corvo came in from, he quickly enters the room making sure he's not seen as he enters.
The room itself looking awful similar to the torcher room inside the prison just with extra metal bars, giving corvo a headache and a surge of negative emotions.
But with more experience managing them, they pass quickly allowing him to get back to the mission.
Looking to his right is a raising platform with metal bars looking it from and normal means of entry.
But Corvo isn't normal.
With a powerfull jump, he launches into the air with speed, chaining the jump with a blink, Corvo finds himself in the right place.
A small room over looking the 'punishment' room with a desk and chair in the corner. On top of the desk being two items of great interest to him right now.
One a note book, describing in great detail of a certain ritual the overseers preform against those in the order who voilated the oaths of the organisation.
The other, a tool to preform said ritual.
——
After dodging more guards and making it through a library with one overseer speculating Corvos involvement with the outsider from his feats of escaping coldridge alone, he makes it to a fancy dinning room
Funnily enough, in the corner of the 'high overseer' of an order made from the gate of voidlings and the outsider, is a rune! A storage container filled with tenants of the outsiders power, used as a enhancer for those blessed by him.
'What a joke. Both him and this organisation.'
Corvo can't help but mock the abbey of the Everyman of the corruption the find themselves in.
'This Country is no better I suppose.'
He thinks to himself, as that is the whole reason he finds himself in this situation. Power hungry corrupt man child's thinking themselves god after tasting power, then lusting for more.
Corvos mood turns to a down ward spiral as he thinks of the state this country's in, of the culprits to all his pain.
"I trust your trip was uneventful? I hear the Watch is having trouble holding the side streets."
But is interrupted by a grating voice belonging to someone he so desperately wants to put down, that intensifies his angry so much that it's replaced by a dangerous calm.
Walking up to the drinks, one obviously discoloured in what an assassin can only see as poison, and throws the glasses onto the floor, spilling then both.
Though with his dark vision activated, he sees some guards alerted by the noise.
So corvo quickly stashes the hung up rune before promptly dissolving from sight.

{overseer Campbell PoV}
"A bunch of children playing their childish games, that's all."
The fool in front of me speaks with annoyance in his voice.
Unlike how he looks he too is playing into the mind games us of higher origin engage in despite being of filthy blood.
These games are kind of like playing a chess match really.
To truely succeed, you need to break the mind and body of the opposing player, to truely take away everything for yourself.
"Good, good. And your niece - Callista, isn't it? I'm very concerned about her."
I reply to him, gambling on the fact his one and only family member is deceased, to further break down his mind and cloud his judgement to aid my coming plan.
And by the grimace and distance look of worry that quickly is cemented on his face, I say the 'gamble' is a success.
What Stupid ignorant fool, should of just accepted my offer. It would have saved the both of us a lot of time, made us a lot of money. But oh well, better to distance myself from these critters anyway.
"She'll be found, my men are searching district by district."
Turning around, I mask the grin of happiness threatening to tear my face of before replying.
"The poor girl."
"Callista's a resourceful one. Probably Found a safe place to hole up in all this chaos."
Digging in his weakness I offer him an empty promise.
"If my overseers hear any word, I'll come straight to you with the news."
This seems to ease his worries as his face lightens up a bit. Now he'll trust me, but I know it won't be long before he goes back to the same as before, I'm under a time limit.
… time to speed things up.
"Time for drinks! I hope you won't refuse. It'll make this business pass all the quicker."
Now with a hint of urgency in my actions, i push the door open.
Only to be met with it not budging at all.
Ahhh! What useless gremlin locked it up.
"Locked? One of the servants must have been in here. Let me see..."
I quickly pull out a key from my pocket and alot it into the door.
But in my haste I forget which one is used for this door.
Maybe because there's a dozen of them.
What bastard made this keychain, I will make their head roll for this.
"… it seems I have the wrong one."
I inform helpfully to the man with a growing impatient expression on his face.
"… not that one.. no.. Ah, here we go. Now, if you'll join me.
Men, well come and get you when we're finished keep the others entertained in the meantime."
I say to the other subordinates in tbe room, Finally opening the blasted door.
The fool speaks up as we exit.
"I don't understand how this all got so unpleasant!"
This time I agree with him though, since that bitch died everything has got more and more difficult, even if I was able to secure more power in the end with my intellect.
"Oh, I agree, I agree. A whore dies, and suddenly this. Will you have wine? It's a Tyvian red."
As I say this, I feel a stinging pain pierce my neck, as if I had just been stabbed.
Resisting tbe urge to shiver and run away I turn my head to the ceilings, I obviously find nothing.
But sweat continues to pour off my forehead, imitating a water fall.
"Are you alright, high overseer?"
The fool next to me questions stupidly. Fucking idiot, ive got the outsider himself breathing down my neck and your in your own little world, shut up!
Inwardly I shout this, but I reply to him outwardly.
"I'm fine, the drinks are over here."
Forcing myself to forget the ominous feeling I just experienced for my plan, I head over to the glasses of wine I prepared earlier, with a special ingredient inside for my special guest here.
Walking over I catch sight of a pair of smashed glasses and bottle of wind staining the carpet.
As I go to shout out in justified outrage, out of the corner of my eye I see the fool fall over, hitting the ground face first.
"What?"
My brief confusion quickly melts away and I go to call out the guards.
But out of nowhere, I feel someone grab my neck in a chokehold from behind.
And quickly, everything goes dark.
….
…
..
.
"AHHH!"
I'm left shouting and coughing as I wake up from unconsciousness.
I try to bring my hands up to nurse my sore neck that seems to have been strangled by someone with the strength of an oxe
…it was that presence wasn't it.
That was why u reacted like that. My genius intuition warned my in advance.
Sigh
This is my fault, I should always believe in myself. What I dilemma.
Looking around though I find myself in the fun room where I conduct my torcher.
…This time locked in the victims chair.
I also see that fool curnow, still unconscious, laid down on the floor in the corner. But I can barely see as the lights seem to have been turned off.
"WHO DARES!! UNSHACKLE ME AT ONCE OR YOULL HAVE THE ENTIRE ABBEY GUNNING FoR YOUR NECK COWARD!!"
I shout, stating my righteous demand to the virmin who dared to conspire against me.
And as if responding, a shadow moves in my limited vision, standing before me.
"Good, now quickly, get me out of this damned."
But he dosent answer.
*poof*
The lights are switched on as if by themselves and I'm temporarily blinded, the rays of artificial light beaming straight into my retinas.
"AHHH! You bitch!!"
When my vision finally clears, though with spots clouding it, along with the pain, I try to look at the perpentrator to catch his appearance.
But am met with an intimidating mask, staring directly in his eyes as if looking into my soul and judging me.
Looking down at his hands, I see… what?
Nononononononono!
It can't be?!
I see a red glowing hot metal branding iron of the heretics brand being pulled out from a furnace in the room.
"NO!! REALSE ME. OBEY SCUM!!."
I shout and shouting and keep shouting but my words only fall on deaf ears as the masked man lifts up the branding iron.
Even with a mask covering his face and eyes, I can feel palpable satisfaction from him, even if I'm oblivious as to how.
"AHHHH!"
And he brings into down, pressing the burning hot metal on my face burning me, scaring my precious body for ever, before once more everything fades into dark.

{narrators POV}
Corvo just continues standing there for a minute, watching in grim satisfaction as the man who caused him endless pain writhes in agony even in his sleep.
'As much as I want to plunge my blade inside this pathetic wasted neck, that would only be mercy for the pain he will experience from now on.'
He thinks to himself, rembering where the man will end up once his order catches sight of the brand on his face.
Corvo continues watching before he knows it's time to leave.
Picking up the captain's unconscious body, he jumps out of the window and stealthily brings his body to the agreed spot, all the while avoiding all the guards.
But after dropping off his body, Corvo circles back to the building and makes way for the secret room of campbell to grab the other room he kept there.
'I swear, does this fucker worship the outsider or something? How did the abbey even let him become high overseer, fucking lunatics.'
Corvo thinks as he pushes the eye of a statue of campbell in the basement, causing the wall to open up, creating a door way in what can only be seen as a sex chamber with the smell that hits his nose along with the amount of mattresses and drugs on the floor.
'Discusting.'
Wanting nothings to do with the room, he quickly cuts out the painting at the entrance to sell, then smashing the window and grabbing the rune.
But all of the sudden, various alarms sound all around tbe base simultaneous startling corvo.
Activating dark vision he looks up and outside, only to see hundreds of guards lining up, others taking groups to search the building.
'FUCK!! Should have expected this, but I got too greedy.'
