Chapter 92 - Chapter 92

When that thousand years finally ended, the barrier left behind by Kaguya shattered.

The Ninja World—peacefully sheltered for a millennium—was laid bare beneath the gaze of the Ōtsutsuki.

Pioneers descended from the sea of stars, carrying with them the divine kingdom of the other shore. To humanity, it was a catastrophe beyond comprehension—a collision between mortals and gods.

The world collapsed amid divine war.

Upon the ruins of the Ninja World, a sacred and majestic kingdom was erected.

Blood drowned the rising sun. Crimson rain fell from the heavens, mingling with shattered bones and torn limbs. Corpses drifted through the sky, while distant fields lay quiet, filled with the sleeping dead.

White bones and wandering souls scattered across the land. The weather itself fell into chaos—blood rain in the east, scorching sun in the west, like the endless fires of hell.

Resentment surged into the clouds. Malevolent energy flickered like wildfire. Above the clouds, sacred light gathered, forming a palace that seemed to pierce the heavens, held aloft by karmic flames.

When that god descended, despair itself vanished.

With a single gesture, all living beings were placed under a death countdown. Numbers appeared above every head—precise to the millisecond.

The first guardians of the Ninja World ascended the steps together.

It was mercy disguised as cruelty—a chance to extend life, to preserve a final spark.

A road to heaven stretched down from the divine kingdom, paved and watered with blood and bone.

Hell overflowed. Countless souls wandered the world, drifting toward the divine tree whose branches spread across the sacred realm.

Naruto. Sasuke. Mitsuki. Sarada. Kaguya. Toneri Ōtsutsuki. Madara.

They climbed the towering steps.

They knew they would die.

But behind them stood the lives of all living beings.

The remnants prayed. The Three Great Sage Lands responded, pouring forth chakra accumulated over countless ages.

Everyone else had fallen.

They were the final hope.

Those thousand years ended.

The world—and even the starry sky—entered a new era.

The Ōtsutsuki plundered all life, stripping stars of their brilliance. Hope drowned beneath endless despair.

Where was the wrath of the chosen one?

Where was humanity's dawn?

A temporal storm swept away faith.

From within it emerged a woman of peerless beauty, skin pale as snow and jade, three thousand strands of silver hair trailing behind her steps.

On the night where beginnings and endings converged, she departed—fleeing toward the other side of the world.

The scene collapsed into a single point within the sea of stars. Pursued, escaping, moving toward an unknown void.

At the very end, everything dissolved into darkness, then into flowing blue light—gentle as water.

The Byakugan remained pure, untouched by chaos.

The vision faded.

Like a dream.

In Gekko, beneath the blazing sun, a peach tree bloomed before a silent castle.

Beneath the tree sat a wooden table, finely carved.

Wine jugs and cups rested atop it.

Clear liquid flowed into the cups, shimmering gold and pink, reflecting the peach blossoms above. The fragrance of flowers and fruit mingled in the air.

A pale hand lifted a cup. Another followed.

They drank in unison.

Sweet. Fragrant. Warm.

"…It's been a long time," Toneri said softly.

Boruto poured again.

"My Hundred Flowers Brew," he said. "First attempt."

Toneri smiled faintly. "Sweet, but unfinished. It lacks time."

"Good wine needs patience," Boruto replied, sealing the jug with chakra before burying it beneath the tree. "Time will finish it."

"So I'll be guarding this place for a while," Toneri said lightly.

"That's why I poured you an extra cup."

They clinked glasses.

Silence followed.

Then Toneri smiled. "You're still a minor. If Naruto knew—"

"He won't," Boruto replied calmly.

Toneri nodded.

Boruto glanced at him. "How are the eyes?"

Toneri opened them.

Byakugan—pure and flawless.

"I awakened an eye technique," Toneri said.

Boruto nodded. "Good. Orochimaru's technology suits you."

Toneri hesitated. "Aren't you curious what it does?"

"We won't need it yet."

"…You're cruel."

Boruto's tone turned serious. "They've arrived. The Ninja World is exposed to the stars."

Toneri sighed. "I felt it coming."

"Can you handle it?" Toneri asked. "With her?"

"Maybe," Boruto said. "Urashiki hasn't appeared. Instead, the wedge carriers did."

"No Ōtsutsuki should be underestimated," Toneri warned.

"Disaster is inevitable," Boruto said quietly. "But miracles follow disaster."

"You are the one who creates miracles," Toneri said, placing a finger over Boruto's chest. "What beats there is hope."

Boruto fell silent.

"I've seen the future," he whispered. "Everyone dies."

"That is only one possibility," Toneri replied. "The future is not singular."

Boruto laughed softly. "You've gotten eloquent."

"I learned it from a silver-tongued thief," Toneri smiled.

"Naruto?"

Toneri shook his head.

Boruto muttered, "The last cryptic frog almost got chopped."

Toneri wisely said nothing.
