The Cyber Ascension
Chapter 1: The Ruthless Shadow
The night was cold and silent.
Rain poured across the empty streets, reflecting the dim streetlights like shards of glass.
Jin Yuan walked without direction — his soaked clothes clinging to his trembling body, his heart heavy with something deeper than sadness.
> "Why… why does everyone betray me?" he whispered, his voice barely louder than the rain.
He stopped beneath a flickering streetlight. The puddle beneath him reflected a stranger's face — hollow eyes, a lifeless smile.
> "If this world only rewards liars and monsters…"
"Then maybe I should become one too."
---
Earlier that year…
The morning sun poured into the classroom, painting the old wooden desks with soft light.
Jin Yuan, a nineteen-year-old boy with kind eyes and a gentle smile, sat at his seat, trying to spark conversation.
> "Guys, today's exam went well, right?"
No answer.
His classmates ignored him as if he didn't exist. One boy smirked, crumpled a paper ball, and tossed it — hitting Jin in the head.
> "Oh my, seems like I threw it in the right dustbin," the boy laughed.
The whole class joined in. Jin froze, forcing a small smile before quietly leaving the room.
---
The schoolyard was quiet, wind brushing through the trees.
He found Chanoki — his childhood friend — by the basketball court. Her smile was the only warmth he had left in this world.
> "Hey, Jin!" she waved.
"Hey, Chanoki," he said softly.
She tilted her head, noticing the dullness in his voice.
> "Something happened?"
"Nothing serious…" Jin chuckled weakly.
But she could see through him — she always could.
So he finally confessed.
> "Chanoki… I like you. I've liked you since we met."
Her eyes widened. A moment of silence passed before she smiled softly.
> "Really?"
"Yes. I mean it."
"Then… maybe I feel the same," she whispered.
For a brief, fragile moment — everything felt right again.
---
That night, he replayed her smile in his mind until sleep took him.
Days passed. Then weeks.
Chanoki began avoiding him. No texts. No smiles. Just silence.
Until one evening…
> "Jin, I'm sorry for ignoring you," she said softly.
Her eyes glistened, voice trembling. Before he could answer, she hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek.
> "I'm sorry. Please forgive me."
Jin froze, his heart filling with fragile warmth again.
> "Of course… I forgive you," he said, smiling.
"Wait here. I'll get us some ice cream."
He ran down the street, his chest light for the first time in weeks.
But when he returned…
The world shattered.
Chanoki sat on a bench with another boy — his arm around her waist, her laughter echoing through the park.
> "You're so naughty, Jim," she giggled.
The ice cream fell from Jin's trembling hands.
He stood there, silent, rain beginning to fall.
> "What are you doing, Chanoki?"
"He's just my best friend…" she lied, looking away.
Jin didn't speak. He simply turned, walking away as thunder rumbled across the sky.
> "Why…?" he whispered, voice breaking.
"Why does everyone betray me?"
He screamed into the storm until his voice cracked.
> "AAAAAHHHH!!!"
---
Days turned to nights.
Nights turned to silence.
Jin Yuan stopped smiling. He stopped caring.
Each passing day felt emptier than the last.
Until one evening — the moment his heart finally broke.
He stood beneath a broken streetlight, the same one from before.
His reflection stared back at him, drenched and lifeless.
> "If kindness is weakness… then I'll become cruelty itself."
The decision was quiet, but absolute.
That night, Jin Yuan died — and something else was born.
---
Weeks Later
> Breaking News:
"Authorities report a wave of violent incidents across the city.
Victims: gang members, loan sharks, and corrupt officials.
No survivors. No clues."
Rumors spread like wildfire.
They spoke of a man in black — a shadow who hunted criminals and vanished into the night.
They called him The Shadow Farmer, for he seemed to harvest something unseen from every soul he struck down.
---
On a lonely rooftop, the wind howled against the dark sky.
A figure stood there — tall, silent, cloaked in black.
His mask hid everything but his cold eyes.
> "The world never listens to words," he murmured.
"Only to violence."
He leapt into the night.
Below, laughter turned to screams.
Steel met flesh.
Blood splattered across the walls, shining red beneath the moonlight.
Moments later, silence.
Only one man stood breathing — Jin Yuan, holding his massive blade as rain washed the crimson away.
> "They deserved this," he whispered.
"Stealing, killing, destroying lives for greed…"
He looked at his reflection in the blade and smiled faintly.
> "Maybe… this is what I was meant to do."
---
Days later, somewhere on the outskirts —
A little girl peered out her window and saw the masked man passing by.
> "Mister, what are you doing?" she called.
"Farming," he replied.
"Farming? But it's midnight!"
"Aura farming."
He smiled faintly under his mask, then vanished into the darkness.
---
At sunset, he sat on an old park bench — the same one where it all began.
Chanoki approached him slowly, trembling.
> "Jin… can we talk?"
"What is it, Ms. Cheater?" he replied coldly.
She flinched but didn't leave.
> "Why are you doing this?"
Jin looked up at the sky, voice calm, almost emotionless.
> "Because talking never changes anything. People worship justice, morality, kindness… but never act. They let the weak suffer while the powerful smile."
He turned toward her — his gaze sharp as a blade.
> "I'll burn this world and build a better one from the ashes. Even if I have to become its greatest villain."
The sun vanished. Only shadows remained.
Chanoki sat frozen, watching the man who once smiled like the sun disappear into the night — colder than darkness itself.
---
> "Villains are not born."
"They are made — by this world."

Chapter 2: The Ruthless Shadow
After that night in the park, Jin Yuan returned to his dimly lit apartment, sitting alone on the worn sofa. The flickering glow of the television painted his pale face in shifting shadows. News of disappearances and chaos filled the room, but his expression remained unreadable.
> "In the United States, particularly New York, reports continue to rise. Young people have been vanishing during the night without a trace. Even special agencies have failed to uncover any leads," the anchor announced.
Jin Yuan exhaled softly, leaning back.
"Huh. Another one."
He checked his phone. The clock read 11:30 PM. A faint smile curved his lips.
"Interesting… let's see who it is this time."
But then the pain hit him — sharp, stabbing, sudden, like needles piercing his skull. Memories flashed before his eyes: a woman's gentle hands feeding him breakfast, a mother's voice calling his name, a life he had never lived, love he could not have.
He gritted his teeth, fingers digging into his hair.
"No… I'm only nineteen. I never married anyone."
He stood abruptly, pacing. His voice trembled.
"My parents died when I was nine… in that accident. Then who… who are they?"
The walls seemed to close in, heavy with silence. With a measured calm, he picked up his phone and made a call.
"Yo," he said. "Book me a flight to New York. Tonight."
"Right away, sir. Is something wrong?"
"No," he replied sharply. "Just curious about these disappearances. Let's see what's really going on."
He ended the call and leaned back. Outside, headlights cut through the night as his car moved like a shadow across the wet streets. He wore his black suit unbuttoned at the collar, white shirt beneath, his massive katana gleaming faintly beside him.
"New York… people vanishing at night. Maybe I'll find someone useful… or maybe the one I've been waiting for," he murmured, eyes glinting under the streetlights.
The skyline spread before him, alive yet oblivious to the predator above. A single figure perched on a rooftop, one leg dangling over the abyss. The wind howled around Jin Yuan as he merged with the shadows — a living specter in black.
"Heh… this time, I'm excited," he whispered.
---
The clock struck 12:03 AM. Silence enveloped the city. Jin Yuan checked his pocket timer, scanning the streets. Suddenly, a sharp pain pierced his head, fragments of memories shattering like glass. He clenched his fists, forcing them back.
"Useless memories… everyone betrayed me… none of it is real."
He leapt from the rooftop, landing silently on a lower building, then vaulted higher, moving with preternatural grace across the city. Below, a girl with pink hair jogged through the empty streets, her hoodie bouncing lightly. A small fragment of life in a dead city.
Jin Yuan observed her coldly, detachment in every movement.
"Just out for a late workout… nothing strange so far."
He rested one hand on his blade.
"Seems the rumors were false… disappointing."
Then she vanished. Only a discarded water bottle remained.
"She… disappeared? No… maybe the rumors are real."
Without hesitation, Jin Yuan dropped to the street, landing silently. He listened. The faint echo of footsteps reached his ears.
"Where are you going?" he muttered, eyes narrowing.
A chase began. His coat flowed like liquid shadow behind him. The footsteps led him to an alley where three men dragged the girl through the darkness, her wrists bound like prey.
Jin Yuan exhaled slowly.
"Die."
With inhuman precision, he unsheathed his katana, hurling it through the chest of the man in the rear. The sound of metal slicing flesh echoed sharply. The remaining two men raised their weapons, but Jin Yuan moved like a predator — every step measured, every strike lethal. Within moments, silence reclaimed the alley.
> "What a pity," he murmured, dusting his gloves. "Can't even land a hit."
He turned to the girl, kneeling to untie her wrists. Her eyes were wide with fear, but she found a flicker of reassurance in his calm, unreadable face.
> "Th… thank you," she stammered.
"Hm," he replied, expressionless.
"What's your name?"
"Emily… Emily Hina."
"Hm. Yuan. You can call me Yuan."
"Yuan…" she whispered.
He rose, scanning the empty streets, lifeless bodies, and the faint red glint of blood in the moonlight. Somewhere above, a blinking security camera observed silently — but Jin Yuan didn't notice.
He melted back into the shadows, a ghost in the neon-lit city, leaving only questions and fear behind.
---
The predator was patient. The city was his playground. And somewhere in the dark, answers — and perhaps the one he had been waiting for — awaited.

Chapter 3: Into the Neon Abyss
The alley was silent once more. Only the faint hum of New York filtered through the darkness. Emily Hina stood trembling, her eyes wide and cheeks burning from the adrenaline still coursing through her veins. Before her, the black-haired man who had just saved her life remained an enigma.
> Emily: "Y-Yuan… can I ask you something?"
Jin Yuan didn't turn. His eyes scanned the shadows with calculated precision.
> Jin Yuan: "Yes."
> Emily: "Why… why did you save me?"
He finally met her gaze, unreadable and cold.
> Jin Yuan: "I'm not saving you. Don't get emotional."
The tension hung in the air, cold and heavy. Soft pink met dark void in their eyes.
> Jin Yuan: "I saved you because I want to find who's behind this. Not for you."
Emily: "Oh… my bad, Yuan."
Jin Yuan: "Don't apologize."
For the briefest instant, a flicker of humanity passed through him — warmth, something fleeting, gone before Emily could grasp it. She smiled despite herself, but he had already turned away, listening.
A low hum grew beneath the street. Something stirred.
Without warning, a gate of blinding light erupted under their feet. Instinct took over. Jin Yuan grabbed Emily, leaping away as the ground vanished beneath them.
Blue portals tore through the streets in rapid succession, swallowing everything in a blinding glow. Jin Yuan twisted mid-air, avoiding each one with impossible precision, coat and hair whipping like a black flame as he carried her in a bridal hold.
> Emily: "Y-Yuan! Be careful!"
He didn't answer. His grip tightened protectively.
A sudden portal opened beneath them—too close. Jin Yuan's hand slipped slightly.
> Emily: "Aaah! Yuan!"
He caught her mid-fall, diving through the next gate as the world around them twisted and shimmered with electric light.
When they landed, the city had changed.
Below stretched an underground metropolis — towers of steel and neon glowing endlessly, the air alive with a faint electric hum. Jin Yuan's boots hit a metallic platform with a hard clang, Emily still cradled against him.
> Jin Yuan (quietly): "What… is this place?"
The neon-blue city reflected in his pale, emotionless eyes. He gently set Emily down, surveying the alien horizon.
> Emily: "Yuan… I'm scared."
Jin Yuan: "Hm? Why?"
His calm voice betrayed no fear, his expression as unreadable as ever.
> Emily: "We just fell into… somewhere like this! And you're… not afraid? I… I feel terrified!"
Instinctively, she grasped his sleeve. For a second, something flickered in his eyes — warmth, confusion, pain — before the hollow mask returned.
> Jin Yuan: "...We should find out what this place is."
Emily nodded, gripping him tightly.
Suddenly, the ground split beneath them. Another gate opened, glowing with electric blue light. Before Jin Yuan could react, both were swallowed and the world twisted again.
Moments later, they were back on the dark streets of New York.
> Emily: "Huh?! What… what just happened?!"
Jin Yuan adjusted his gloves, dusting off his suit.
> Jin Yuan: "We should leave. I can't fight properly if you're with me. Protecting you and fighting at the same time… it's not easy."
Despite her fear, Emily smiled faintly at him. Together, they walked silently to a tall apartment building.
> Emily: "This is my apartment. Ninth floor… will you come up?"
Jin Yuan sighed but followed.
Inside, her apartment was cozy and clean. She prepared tea while he observed quietly.
> Emily: "It might help you relax."
Jin Yuan: "Sure."
She handed him the cups. He sipped slowly.
> Jin Yuan: "It's good. I like it… Emily."
Her cheeks warmed again.
> Jin Yuan: "I wonder what's happening in this city."
Emily: "I don't know… but I'm scared."
Jin Yuan: "Do you have family?"
Emily: "Yeah. But they're in Europe. I'm studying abroad."
Jin Yuan: "You're coming with me."
Emily: "Coming… with you? Where?"
Jin Yuan: "After tonight, they might come after you too. I won't let anyone else suffer because of me."
She hesitated, then nodded.
> Emily: "Okay… I'll go. But where?"
Jin Yuan: "Tokyo. I need to train again. You'll stay with me."
---
Hours later, they boarded a private jet, cutting across the ocean. The city lights of Tokyo appeared below them like distant stars. They arrived at a secluded wooden house in the misty outskirts, shrouded in forest.
An older man awaited — tall, scarred, eyes sharp as steel.
> Jin Yuan: "Emily, this is my master. He's an elite fighter — trained me."
Emily: "Oh… okay!"
The house was small but functional. Jin Yuan led her to his room — a single bed, wooden desk, moonlight spilling through the window.
> Jin Yuan: "This is my room. The other one belongs to Shinoikin, my master."
He stepped outside.
> Shinoikin: "Ha! Been waiting for you, boy. Let's start your training!"
Beside him, three others stood:
Musukoni, calm, blue hair, indifferent.
Yusikuna, hyperactive, crimson-eyed, bouncing on his heels.
Yuzurei, sharp-eyed, white hair, scar over left eye, always ready for a fight.
> Jin Yuan: "Tch. Not again…"
Shinoikin's grin was stern.
> Shinoikin: "Today, we train your reflexes! Especially after that… castle incident. Stay sharp."
> Musukoni: "Reflexes again? Boring…"
Yusikuna: "Exciting! Let's go!"
Yuzurei: "Tch. Idiots."
Jin Yuan rubbed his face, resigned.
> Jin Yuan: "Alright… what's the plan?"
---
Hours later, the sun dipped below the horizon. Training ended. Jin Yuan returned to his wooden room, shoulders heavy, body exhausted. Emily slept peacefully, curled under dim lamplight. For a brief moment, his cold mask cracked — a flicker of softness.
He washed his face, water dripping, and lay beside her carefully, leaving the room silent except for the wind whispering through the trees.
The city outside was alive, but inside, in that small wooden room, only shadows and whispers remained.

Chapter 4: Inferno in the Forest
Shinoikin folded his arms, surveying the training yard with the calm of a man who had seen too many battles to be surprised by anything.
> "Yuzurei," he said, his voice low and steady, "you and Yusikuna are going to Japan. A gang has been robbing money and harassing women at night."
Jin Yuan's hair shifted in the evening breeze. He tilted his head slightly.
> Jin Yuan: "Hm."
Yuzurei's jaw clenched.
> "I'll go alone. I don't want backup."
Yusikuna bounced on his heels, almost vibrating with excitement.
> "Hey! I'll come too!"
Shinoikin shrugged.
> "Fine. Let him go alone."
Yuzurei gave a curt nod and stepped into the night. Jin Yuan's eyes followed him — calm, calculating, unreadable.
> Jin Yuan (softly): "He's strong. No need to worry."
---
Later, Jin Yuan returned to the small wooden house. Training had been grueling, his body aching in quiet, unspoken places. The door opened, and Emily looked up from the couch, gentle smile warming her features.
> Emily: "Welcome back, Yuan."
He nodded, settling beside her.
> Emily: "Do you want to rest?"
Jin Yuan: "Yeah… a bit."
She guided his head onto her shoulder. For a fragile moment, the cold mask around Jin Yuan's face softened. A ghost of a smile appeared before fading into the usual hollow calm.
---
Far away, under the neon glow of a distant city, Yuzurei stalked the streets. Dual katanas at his hips, yellow eyes flashing with a predator's joy.
He turned a corner, and there it was: a group of men cornering a terrified woman, laughing cruelly.
Yuzurei's lips curved into a grim smile.
> "Time for blood."
Steel sang through the night. Movements were precise, brutal, and elegant. Limbs shattered, screams cut short. When it ended, the street lay quiet.
He wiped rain and blood from his blade.
> "Oi. Don't stay out too long," he said.
The woman hurried away, cheeks flushed with fear and gratitude.
---
Back at the wooden house, Emily kept still as Jin Yuan rested against her. Outside, the forest breathed. Inside, stillness settled — the quiet that follows small mercies and violence alike.
Jin Yuan closed his eyes. For a heartbeat, the boy who once believed in kindness surfaced — and vanished again.
Yuzurei returned that night, face unreadable.
> "Quite boring," he muttered, brushing blood from his blades before walking past Shinoikin.
The old man merely nodded, retreating quietly into his own room.
---
Morning filtered through the windows. Emily slept beside Jin Yuan, arms wrapped around him, breathing calm and warm. For a fleeting second, his cold expression softened.
He slipped out quietly, emerging dressed in black, blade resting across his back. He glanced once at Emily before stepping outside.
Yusikuna waited, bouncing on his heels.
> "Yo! Mission time! Sensei says something in Westails is dragging humans away every night. When they're found… they're already dead."
Jin Yuan raised an eyebrow.
> "Oh? Sounds interesting."
> Yusikuna: "It's not just one — three of them! Huge, inhuman bodies."
> Jin Yuan: "Explaining is a waste. Let's go."
---
Night fell as they reached Westails — a quiet town ringed by dense forest. Fireworks lit the sky above the festival,
The Cyber Ascension
Chapter 5: The Ruthless Shadow
The silver moon hung high above the quiet garden.
Yuzurei sat motionless on the cold stone bench, his expression blank, his eyes sharp enough to cut through the dark.
The night whispered through the leaves — cold, still, watching.
A faint sound of footsteps.
Musukoni: "Yuzurei, why are you here?"
Yuzurei: "Huh? We've got a mission tonight. Just waiting for the others."
His tone was calm, but something inside it trembled with irritation — like a blade held too long in the flame.
---
Inside the wooden house, Yusikuna adjusted his gloves with a proud smirk.
Yusikuna: "Sensei! My first solo mission. I'm ready!"
Shioinkin: "Don't let your excitement blind you. Caution keeps you alive."
The boy nodded and vanished into the mist.
Hours later, he returned — confused, restless.
Yusikuna: "Sensei! The whole area was silent — no enemies, no signs!"
Shioinkin: "Hmm… maybe a false report."
Yuzurei: laughing "All that hype for nothing!"
Musukoni chuckled quietly.
Jin Yuan remained still, watching — unreadable, detached, his shadow unmoving even under the lantern light.
---
That night, a heavy silence covered the house like fog.
Far beyond Earth — in the depths of the Blue Realm — Shinjukuna stood before the Three Blue Knights.
Blue light rippled across the metallic floor as he spoke.
Shinjukuna: "You three know your orders."
Eisuke, with his long white hair and half-buttoned suit, said nothing.
Tetsuya leaned against a steel pillar, smirking.
Tetsuya: "We're listening, Shinjukuna-sama."
Kaizen, eyes mismatched and cold, waited.
Shinjukuna: "Bring those brats into the Blue Realm — and trap them halfway between worlds. Let them believe they're chasing us. The deeper they go, the closer they step into our jaws."
A cruel grin cut across his face. The knights bowed. The plan began.
---
On Earth, Jin Yuan, Yuzurei, Musukoni, and Yusikuna trained, unaware of the snare tightening beneath their feet.
Then — the distortion came.
Reality cracked. Blue light devoured the ground.
They ran down endless metallic stairs, weapons drawn, the air humming with energy.
Yuzurei leapt down first, landing hard on a lower platform.
Yuzurei: "Too slow…"
A grin split his face — wild, manic, hungry for violence.
Jin Yuan ignored him, calm as ever, descending step by step beside Musukoni and Yusikuna.
At the end of the stairway, a new world opened before them —
The Blue Realm.
A high-tech wasteland of shimmering towers and hollow energy fields stretched endlessly, glowing like frozen lightning.
Yuzurei: "Heh… I'll destroy this world."
Musukoni: "This is a trap."
Yusikuna: "If that's true… what if something happens back on Earth?"
Jin Yuan: "Sensei's there. No worries."
---
Meanwhile, on Earth…
Shioinkin stood alone — one man against an army.
His black shield split the air as plasma blasts tore through the ground. His blade cut through steel and screams alike.
He fought like a storm given flesh.
---
Back in the Blue Realm.
Yusikuna: "Sensei's got this. Let's handle ours!"
He fired arrows of flame — only to watch them vanish against the metallic surface.
Yusikuna: "Tch… even fire's useless here."
Yuzurei laughed, already drenched in battle fever.
He unsheathed four katanas — two spinning mid-air — switching blades in rhythm so fast the sound blurred.
Yuzurei: "Haa haa haa haa! This is what I live for!"
Musukoni danced through the chaos, his chained daggers slicing arcs of blue light, cutting clean through armored soldiers.
And at the heart of it all —
Jin Yuan moved without a word.
Every strike was precise. Every motion — lethal.
His blade shone silver beneath the neon skies, painting death across the battlefield.
The deeper they fought, the stronger the realm pulsed.
It was alive. Watching them.
The storm had only begun.

Chapter 7 : The Ruthless Shadow
Yuzurei fought with brutal precision, juggling his four katanas mid-combat with ruthless efficiency.
Each strike, each parry, was a symphony of destruction. The clash of steel echoed through the high-tech battlefield, scattering sparks like dying stars.
Nearby, Musukoni moved through the chaos with cold, surgical grace.
Minor wounds streaked his arms, but his precision never faltered. Every motion was calculated—every enemy fell before they even realized they'd been cut.
Yusikuna managed to ignite a building, the flames licking skyward and reflecting across the metallic walls.
The inferno tore through the enemy's formation, and for the first time, the battle began to tilt in their favor.
Jin Yuan stood amidst it all — calm, hollow, expressionless.
His massive blade moved like liquid death, each swing effortless yet absolute.
No emotion. No hesitation. Only motion — clean and deadly.
As Yusikuna's fire spread, the chaos deepened. Blue soldiers fell one after another, their formation collapsing under coordinated strikes.
When the final echo faded, silence returned.
Musukoni's breathing was shallow, his cuts bleeding faintly.
Yusikuna leaned on his bow, panting, exhausted but alive.
Yuzurei stood with blood splattered across his face, a savage smile curling at his lips.
And Jin Yuan — he bore only a thin cut across his cheek, his eyes as still as the void.
Yusikuna: "Close call… this place is full of mysteries."
Musukoni: "Now I understand."
Yuzurei turned, irritation sharp in his tone.
Yuzurei: "What!? Stop mumbling, genius! Spit it out!"
Jin Yuan: "Speak."
Musukoni: "This… is a plan to wear us down. They're waiting for us to collapse — then they'll strike."
The corridor ahead shimmered in dim blue light — its walls lined with mirrors, mist coiling across the floor like living smoke.
Yuzurei: "Heh. I don't wanna see my reflection. I want more blood."
Yusikuna: "Be ready, everyone."
Musukoni: "See? I was right."
Then — the mirrors moved.
A blinding flash engulfed them. The ground shattered beneath their feet.
---
They fell.
Musukoni and Yusikuna crashed into a shadowy pit surrounded by glowing towers.
The air was cold and heavy — every breath felt foreign.
Yusikuna: "Where… are we?"
Musukoni: "It's still the Blue Realm. But something's changed."
The mist thickened, and from it — two figures emerged.
Identical faces. Identical weapons.
Their clones.
Musukoni: "They want to break us mentally."
The clone of Musukoni lunged.
Steel screamed. Sparks burst like lightning as twin daggers collided again and again.
On the other side, Yusikuna fought his own mirror image — fire arrows slicing through the fog, light and shadow dancing in violent rhythm.
The battle was merciless. Each fought their own reflection — every flaw, every habit mirrored perfectly.
There was no upper hand. No escape.
Yusikuna: "Musukoni! We can't win like this!"
Musukoni: "Then we change. Switch targets — now!"
In perfect synchronization, they swapped opponents.
Musukoni fought Yusikuna's clone; Yusikuna faced his.
Flames and steel wove together — chaos turned into rhythm, rhythm into victory.
At last, the final clone fell.
But the price was unbearable.
Musukoni collapsed, blood pooling beneath him. His mind raced, body trembling.
Yusikuna stood, barely breathing, ribs shattered, body shaking with pain.
Clone (Musukoni): "Give up. You're done."
Yusikuna: "No… I'm not. Not yet."
His voice broke, but his will didn't.
"I'll protect him. Even if it kills me."
He drew every ounce of strength left — ten arrows, all blazing like suns.
He spun, unleashing them in a perfect burning circle.
The Moon Shot.
Flames burst outward, devouring the clones in one blinding inferno.
The blue mist parted — revealing the moon high above, cold and beautiful.
Yusikuna dropped to his knees, smiling faintly.
Musukoni crawled toward him, eyes wide, desperate.
Musukoni: "Don't talk. Please, don't—"
Yusikuna: "Promise me something…"
Musukoni: "…Anything."
Yusikuna: "Live. Protect Jin Yuan. Protect Yuzurei. Protect… this world."
A tear fell onto Yusikuna's burned hand.
He smiled — faint, peaceful, final.
And then, the light left his eyes.
---
Elsewhere, deep within the Blue Realm—
Jin Yuan descended the metallic stairs, his boots echoing softly.
The air shimmered with energy. His blade glowed faintly blue.
From the mist, Musukoni appeared — silent, broken.
Jin Yuan: "Where's Yusikuna?"
Musukoni: "…He's gone."
A pause. A flicker in Jin Yuan's eyes — gone as quickly as it appeared.
He said nothing more. Only continued walking forward.
---
Far away, Yuzurei wandered through another corridor, spinning his blades lazily.
Yuzurei: "Eh? Still no one? Damn boring place…"
He grinned, stepping into the shadows — unaware he was heading straight toward the Blue Knights themselves.
---
Jin Yuan and Musukoni moved deeper, their footsteps echoing through the mirrored halls.
Then — BOOM!
A massive figure dropped from above, the floor cracking under his landing.
Tall. Muscular. Eyes glowing red and blue.
His gauntlets shimmered with runic light.
Engraved on his arm:
Blue Knight – No. 3: Kaizen.
Musukoni: "Jin Yuan… he's the third strongest here."
Jin Yuan: "...Understood."
Kaizen grinned.
Kaizen: "Come on, then. Let's see what you're made of."
The air trembled.
And as their blades clashed, the entire realm roared in awakening.
The War of the Blue Realm had begun.

Chapter 8 : The Broken Heart of Kaizen
Kaizen stood before Jin Yuan and Musukoni, his mismatched eyes gleaming — one red, one blue — filled with an unholy excitement.
A grin spread across his face.
Kaizen: "Don't disappoint me… heh."
In the next instant, he launched himself into the air.
His gauntlets ignited with blue energy, releasing a shockwave so powerful the ground beneath them fractured.
Jin Yuan and Musukoni barely dodged, the air slicing past them like invisible blades.
Musukoni: "He's using compressed air… We can't just keep dodging — we have to fight back!"
Jin Yuan gave a silent nod.
Both charged forward — Jin Yuan's massive katana cutting through the mist, Musukoni's twin daggers glimmering under the blue glow.
Kaizen caught Jin Yuan's blade — between two fingers.
Kaizen: "Too slow! Come on, show me what you've got! I'll enjoy killing both of you for stepping into Shinjukuna-sama's realm!"
Musukoni's eyes narrowed, analyzing every movement.
"He said Shinjukuna-sama… so he's the one behind all of this."
He lunged from behind, his daggers linked by a spinning chain for a surprise strike — but Kaizen's counter came faster than lightning.
A gauntleted fist slammed into Musukoni's chest, sending him crashing through a building.
Jin Yuan gritted his teeth, blood trickling from his mouth.
(Thinking): He's obsessed with fighting… Those gauntlets generate shockwaves that nullify our attacks. Head-on won't work.
Amid the wreckage, Musukoni stirred, coughing blood.
Musukoni (weakly): "Yusikuna…"
Flashes of his fallen comrade — the laughter, the promise, the fire.
His trembling hand closed into a fist.
Musukoni: "I promised him… I'll keep fighting."
Before he could stand, Kaizen appeared again — a blur of speed.
Another brutal blow landed, shattering Musukoni's ribs.
Then Kaizen leapt high and smashed him down with an overhead punch.
Boom.
Jin Yuan darted forward, intercepting Kaizen mid-air.
Their clash sent a wave of energy rippling through the Blue Realm, glass shattering, the air trembling.
Kaizen smirked, wiping blood from his lip.
Kaizen: "Not bad… Now this is fun."
Below, Musukoni lay unconscious — his body broken, his promise echoing faintly in his mind.
The battle raged on — every strike between Jin Yuan and Kaizen shaking the realm itself.
Sparks scattered like shooting stars, blue mist curling around their feet.
Though Jin Yuan's movements were precise, Kaizen's sheer brute power began to dominate the fight.
Kaizen: "Is that all you've got?! Pathetic!"
He slammed his gauntlets together, unleashing another shockwave that blasted Jin Yuan backward into a metallic tower.
Cracks spidered through the steel, dust swirling in the aftermath.
Jin Yuan steadied himself, silent and focused.
(Thinking): He's stronger… I can't counter him directly.
Then — an opening.
(Thinking): He doesn't defend… only attacks.
Jin Yuan rushed forward with sudden speed.
His katana sliced through the mist — a shallow cut tearing across Kaizen's armor.
The next swing landed harder, cracking one of Kaizen's gauntlets.
Kaizen's grin widened.
Kaizen: "Ah! Now this is getting interesting!"
But Jin Yuan said nothing — his hollow eyes burned with quiet resolve.
Their blades collided again and again, thunder rolling through the realm.
Kaizen's strength, though, soon overwhelmed him.
Spotting hesitation, Kaizen drove his fist into Jin Yuan's ribs, hurling him into another tower.
Kaizen: "What an interesting match…"
The steel wall shattered. Jin Yuan's vision blurred — lights, sparks, blood.
Kaizen strode forward, gauntlets humming, grin twisted with cruelty.
Kaizen: "Pathetic. I'll kill you for daring to step into our realm."
Jin Yuan staggered to his feet, ribs shattered, blood dripping from his mouth.
Kaizen raised his fists — energy spiraling around him like a hurricane.
Kaizen: "Wind Style — Typhoon Wave!"
He thrust forward, the shockwave howling toward Jin Yuan.
Then — a chain snapped tight.
Musukoni's twin daggers, linked by steel, wrapped around Kaizen's fist mid-attack.
With a savage pull, Musukoni yanked him off balance.
Kaizen: "You're alive!?"
Musukoni: "I promised… I'd never fall."
Despite broken ribs and blood loss, Musukoni's eyes burned with ferocity.
He moved like a storm — ducking, slashing, countering with everything he had.
Kaizen snarled, unleashing furious punches that shattered the ground.
Jin Yuan watched from the debris, every breath agony.
Musukoni — battered, dying — fought on for a promise.
(Musukoni, thinking): I won't let Yusikuna's death be in vain.
The fight became pure chaos — shockwaves, sparks, steel, blood.
Musukoni landed a lucky strike, forcing Kaizen back.
For the first time, the monster staggered.
Kaizen's snarl twisted into laughter — mad, broken, human.
Around them, the Blue Realm itself flickered like a failing circuit.
Jin Yuan moved.
His katana rose high — then fell.
Crash!
Both of Kaizen's gauntlets shattered.
Kaizen stared at his trembling hands in disbelief.
Kaizen: "No… It can't be…"
Then — the memories came.
---
Flashback – Earth
A classroom bathed in sunlight.
A younger Kaizen sat nervously, staring at the girl beside him — Omaini, red hair glowing softly.
Kaizen: "Um… Omaini, I… I like you."
She smiled faintly, eyes soft but sad.
Omaini: "I like you too… but I already have a boyfriend."
The world fell silent.
Kaizen: "Oh… I understand."
He smiled weakly and walked away — heart quietly shattering.
That night, he saw Omaini's boyfriend with another girl.
His fists clenched.
She deserves to know.
He ran to the café, breathless.
Kaizen: "Omaini! He's cheating on you! Please, believe me!"
Her face darkened.
Omaini: "Stop lying! You're just jealous!"
Kaizen: "No! Please—"
Omaini: "Get out! Don't ever show me your face again!"
Her boyfriend appeared — and beat Kaizen until the world turned black.
She said nothing.
Days later, Kaizen found Omaini crying in a park.
Kaizen: "You were right, Kaizen… he betrayed me. I'm so sorry."
He smiled through tears.
Kaizen: "You deserve better. I could never hate you."
She whispered, trembling.
Omaini: "Then… let's start over."
He hugged her, crying in relief.
Kaizen: "I love you, Omaini—"
Screech. Crash.
A truck slammed into her.
Blood. Silence.
Kaizen froze, screaming her name.
Kaizen: "No! No, no, no!!"
When the police arrived, one officer spoke coldly.
Cop: "Drunk driver. We'll compensate your loss financially."
Kaizen snapped.
He punched the cop — again and again — until everything turned red.
Then a voice.
Shinjukuna: "Such pain… such rage. I can give you purpose."
Kaizen turned, eyes wild.
Kaizen: "What do you want!?"
Shinjukuna: "Serve me. Help me build a world without heartbreak."
Kaizen hesitated — then nodded.
Kaizen: "Yes. I'll do anything!"
---
Back to the Present
Kaizen's shattered gauntlets fell to the floor.
Tears streamed down his face as memories devoured him.
Kaizen (screaming): "Aaaaaaah!"
Musukoni: "He's done… he can't fight anymore."
But Kaizen stood — barehanded, trembling, eyes glowing red and blue.
Kaizen: "I'll kill you humans… You're all the same!"
He charged — but a soft voice echoed behind him.
Omaini: "Please… stop, Kaizen. This isn't who you are."
Kaizen froze. His hands fell limp. Tears burned his eyes.
Kaizen: "If that's what you want… I'll stop."
He picked up one broken gauntlet, activated its self-destruction, and embraced the fading illusion of her spirit.
Kaizen: "I finally found you…"
A faint smile — then BOOM!
The explosion tore through the structure.
Musukoni had already signaled Jin Yuan — both leapt clear as the shockwave devoured the area.
When the smoke cleared, nothing remained of Kaizen — only silence.
Musukoni: "Why would he kill himself?"
Jin Yuan: "Maybe… he was just a broken heart."

End of Chapter 8 : The Broken Heart of Kaizen
Chapter 9 — The Ruthless Shadow
The corridors of the Blue Realm stretched endlessly — cold, metallic, drenched in blue mist.
Neon lights flickered weakly along the walls, humming like dying insects.
Yuzurei strolled through them with his usual swagger, four katanas lazily spinning in his hands.
> Yuzurei: "I'm sooo bored…"
The eerie silence didn't bother him. If anything, it calmed him. The faint hum of machines and the echo of his own footsteps were the only sounds in the void.
Then — footsteps approached.
A figure emerged from the shadows: Musukoni, calm and expressionless as ever.
> Musukoni: "So you're here. We thought you were lost."
Yuzurei caught one of his spinning blades midair, shrugging.
> Yuzurei: "Eh? Ah, yeah, yeah... just wandering. Where are Jin Yuan and Yusikuna?"
Musukoni paused, his eyes lowering slightly.
> Musukoni: "Jin Yuan went ahead — searching for an exit."
(pause) "And… Yusikuna died. He saved me."
The air froze.
For a moment, Yuzurei's grin faltered. The image of Yusikuna — loud, annoying, always smiling — flickered through his mind.
> Yuzurei (quietly): "That bastard…"
He muttered under his breath, then resumed walking as his blades resumed their idle spin.
> Musukoni: "Did you find anything?"
Yuzurei: "Eh!? In this boring place? What the hell would I find!?"
His irritation echoed off the metal walls.
> Musukoni: "Jin Yuan and I fought one of them — Blue Knight No. 3."
Yuzurei stopped mid-step, his eyes widening with sudden excitement.
> Yuzurei: "Wait, wait, wait. Blue Knight Three? What the hell is that?"
> Musukoni: "He had a mark on his gauntlet. Probably the third-strongest here."
> Yuzurei: "You dummy!!! You fought one of the strongest without me!?"
He pouted, then grinned wide again — his grin sharp enough to slice through the silence.
> Musukoni: "If there's a third… there must be a second and a first."
Yuzurei's eyes gleamed with wild excitement.
> Yuzurei: "YES!!! I'll take them myself!"
Laughing, he sprinted deeper into the realm — the blue mist swirling behind him like smoke.
---
Meanwhile…
Jin Yuan walked alone through the opposite corridor — a dark maze pulsing with blue light.
The air grew heavier with each step, cold seeping through his coat.
Then — a voice echoed.
> ??? "My, my… seems this realm has a new guest."
A tall man stepped out of the fog — his presence sharp enough to slice through the haze.
A massive axe rested across his shoulder, lightning sparking faintly from its edges.
Golden eyes glowed beneath the blue glow.
> Tetsuya Makano: "Welcome, intruder. I'm Tetsuya Makano — Second Blue Knight.
I'll make sure you
The Cyber Ascension – Arc 2
Chapter 11 — The Recovery After the Storm
The blue moon hung quietly above the ruins, its reflection trembling across the shallow water and the shattered towers around them.
Yuzurei knelt among the debris, blood dripping from his lips, each breath scraping through broken ribs—
yet the grin on his face refused to die.
Eisuke stood a few meters away, posture perfect, silver hair drifting under the pale glow. His four chained blades still crackled with residual energy.
---
The Clash Continues
Eisuke leapt.
One downward strike—
and an entire skyscraper split cleanly in two.
The building groaned, then collapsed, raining steel and broken katanas across the battlefield like falling stars.
> Eisuke (smirking): "Well done, Yuzurei."
He turned away, certain the fight was over.
But—
A single katana cut through the smoke, spinning toward him with a faint red glow.
CLANG!
The chain of his sword snapped clean in half.
Eisuke froze, eyes widening.
Through the choking dust, Yuzurei dragged himself upright—blood-soaked, trembling, but unbroken.
---
The Storm of Blades
Without hesitation, Yuzurei grabbed a crate overflowing with katanas and hurled it skyward.
Dozens of blades burst out, spinning under the moonlight like a blooming flower of steel.
> Eisuke: "You're not serious…"
> Yuzurei (laughing madly): "OH, I'M VERY SERIOUS!"
He shot into the air—catching, switching, discarding, and reclaiming blades faster than human eyes could follow.
Nine katanas glimmered around him, orbiting like burning comets.
> Eisuke: "Don't tell me you can actually—!"
> Yuzurei: "UNDERSTIMATE MY DURABILITY AGAIN, AND I'LL BITE YOU!"
Every swing screamed through the air.
Every impact spat sparks that lit the ruins crimson.
His ribs were crushed.
His flesh torn.
Blood streamed freely—
yet he moved as if his body were weightless.
Pure madness.
Pure joy.
Pure chaos.
---
Fire and Fury
Eisuke clenched his teeth.
> Eisuke: "Then I'll kill you properly."
All four of his chained blades whipped out, forming a lethal web of blue lightning.
Yuzurei didn't retreat.
Nine flaming katanas whirled around him, igniting with red fire that clashed violently against Eisuke's blue aura.
The sky turned into a battlefield of flames and moonlight.
Eisuke lunged low—
one blade pierced through Yuzurei's lower jaw, throwing shockwaves across the ruins.
Yuzurei's head jerked back violently—
but the glow of madness in his remaining eye only sharpened.
Eisuke struck again—
a clean slash across Yuzurei's face.
Blood sprayed.
Yuzurei's left eye burst.
He didn't blink.
He didn't falter.
If anything—
his aura surged.
Nine blazing swords spun even faster, forming fiery wings behind him.
> Eisuke (horrified): "Are you… truly human?"
> Yuzurei (grinning through blood): "You decide."
---
The Final Strike
Both warriors dashed forward—
red fire and blue lightning exploding as they clashed.
The water beneath them vaporized.
The moon above cracked in the reflection.
One decisive flash—
and Yuzurei's katana drove straight into Eisuke's heart.
Eisuke froze.
A soft exhale escaped him.
> Yuzurei (low, almost gentle): "This… was the fight I wanted."
Eisuke's lips curled faintly.
Then he fell, collapsing into the shallow water.
The battle of the Blue Realm's strongest…
had ended.
---
Eisuke's Final Memories
Crimson spread beneath him as the world dimmed.
A trembling five-year-old boy flashed in his mind.
His father's slap.
His mother's cold eyes.
> Father: "You're useless! A waste!"
> Mother: "We'll sell you. At least then you'll have a purpose."
Sold like trash.
Thrown into a cage.
Beaten for sport.
Until he came.
Shinjukuna.
A monster wrapped in calmness.
He killed everyone in that room effortlessly, then crushed the cage open with one hand.
> Shinjukuna: "Poor child… I'll make you happy."
> Young Eisuke: "C-Can I… eat?"
> Shinjukuna (smiling): "You can have anything you want."
The boy followed him—
and grew into a weapon.
A villain born from grace twisted into chains.
---
Present — Aftermath
The wind whispered through the ruins.
Eisuke opened his eyes one last time.
> Eisuke: "Heh… Thank you… for breaking this cage of life…"
His gaze faded into the blue sky.
Yuzurei exhaled quietly, then sheathed his katanas.
He didn't celebrate.
He simply walked away under the trembling moonlight.
---
The Survivors Reunite
Blue mist drifted through the empty realm.
Jin Yuan walked down the glass-strewn street, his blade resting on his shoulder, faintly glowing from his fight with Tetsuya.
From the opposite end, Yuzurei approached—hoodie torn apart, bandages soaked red, one eye closed forever.
Musukoni's expression tightened.
> Musukoni: "What happened to you?"
> Yuzurei (grinning): "Fought Eisuke Ichiro. Blue Knight One! It was AWESOME."
Musukoni pinched the bridge of his nose.
> Musukoni: "You're proud of almost dying? You psychopath."
Jin Yuan approached, calm but clearly stunned.
> Jin Yuan: "You… defeated Blue Knight One?"
Musukoni nodded grimly.
> Musukoni: "He did. Somehow."
Jin Yuan lowered his gaze.
> He defeated Eisuke… while I struggled against Knight Two…
> Jin Yuan: "We need rest. We won't survive the next fight like this."
> Yuzurei: "Rest where? A hotel? Starbucks? Hospital?!"
> Musukoni: "Actually… hospital."
He pointed to a flickering structure in the distance.
A giant high-tech hospital, cracked and abandoned.
---
Recovery
They treated their own wounds inside the silent hospital.
Yuzurei's ribs were wrapped tight.
One eye lost forever.
Blood still dripping onto the floor.
Musukoni had cuts across his face and hands.
Jin Yuan's arm and head were wrapped in bandages.
> Musukoni: "We should find a way back home."
> Yuzurei: "Feels like we've been here forever."
Jin Yuan hesitated.
> Jin Yuan: "Sensei… and Emily… must be worried."
Musukoni looked thoughtful.
> Musukoni: "I don't think time exists here."
The other two stared.
> Yuzurei: "HUH?! Explain, Einstein!"
> Musukoni: "Eleven days passed… yet no nail growth, no hair growth, no worsening wounds.
Time here isn't flowing normally.
When we return… it'll be the same day we left."
> Yuzurei: "Oh! So I'll still be young there too! Maybe I'll get a girlfriend!"
Jin Yuan flicked the back of his head.
> Jin Yuan: "Girls run from serial-killer smiles, idiot."
Musukoni snickered.
> Yuzurei: "JEALOUS!"
> Jin Yuan: "We need to find an exit."
> Musukoni: "Let's search for something… different."
They left the hospital.
The blue mist followed silently.
Until—
they saw it.
A pulsing black-hole-like portal on the ground.
> Yuzurei: "YO—what's that!?"
> Musukoni: "Let's check."
He threw a rock.
It slipped through harmlessly.
> Jin Yuan: "Looks safe enough."
The three exchanged a glance.
Then stepped toward the portal.
The Cyber Ascension Arc 2: The Recovery After Storm | Chapter 12 |
The trio approached the swirling black hole ahead of them.
Yuzurei had his hands locked behind his head, strolling casually.
Yuzurei: "Hah… walking slowly like this is boring."
He glanced at the portal, then at Musukoni.
Musukoni: "We need to be careful. None of us are in any condition to fight."
His tone was calm, as always.
Jin Yuan: "Don't do anything reckless, Yuzurei."
Yuzurei's lips curled into a dangerous grin.
Yuzurei: "Who said none of us can fight?"
Before either of them could react—
he jumped straight into the black hole.
Musukoni: "Tch—WAIT!!"
He dove after him, and Jin Yuan followed calmly.
They fell through a star-filled tunnel—endless black, scattered with floating lights.
Yuzurei looked downward while free-falling.
Yuzurei: "Seriously? I expected something cool. This is lame."
Jin Yuan lightly smacked the back of his head mid-fall.
Jin Yuan: "At least we're not dead again. Be grateful."
They landed on a metallic road suspended in cosmic space—no buildings, no ground, just infinite stars.
---
A Strange Cosmic Highway
Musukoni inhaled deeply.
Musukoni: "We can breathe… This isn't real space. Maybe it's a travel route the Blue Realm created between timelines."
Yuzurei: "Yeah yeah, skip the science. Tell me something interesting!"
Musukoni ignored him, studying the endless road.
Musukoni: "If this is a transit route, there might be a way back to Earth."
Jin Yuan: "But we can't confirm where this leads. We can't just walk forever."
Before they could decide, Yuzurei pointed ahead.
Yuzurei: "Yo—what are THOSE?"
Two futuristic bikes—sleek, glowing, but heavily damaged—lay abandoned. Sparks flickered from loose wires.
Yuzurei: "They look like they fell straight out of hell."
Musukoni crouched to inspect them.
Musukoni: "We don't have any other option. Let's try."
They attempted to turn the bikes on—
but nothing happened.
Yuzurei grew irritated.
Yuzurei: "HUUUUH!? This is annoying!"
He began kicking the bikes.
Musukoni: "STOP! That's our ONLY way back!"
Surprisingly, the bikes flickered to life from the impact.
Yuzurei smirked proudly.
Yuzurei: "See? I helped."
Jin Yuan snorted.
Jin Yuan: "A miracle. Yuzurei being useful."
Musukoni laughed quietly.
Yuzurei instantly grabbed the red bike.
Yuzurei: "This one's MINE."
Musukoni and Jin Yuan took the blue bike.
Jin Yuan: "So where are you going to sit? Behind me or behind him?"
Musukoni immediately pointed.
Musukoni: "Behind you. If I sit behind Yuzurei, I'll fall off this cosmic road and die."
He climbed onto the back.
Jin Yuan started the engine.
Without warning, Yuzurei twisted the throttle FULL—
and launched forward at insane speed.
Musukoni: "And THIS is exactly why I didn't sit behind him."
---
Cosmic Ride
They raced across the glowing high-tech road, engines roaring.
Yuzurei already leaned forward, grinning wildly.
Yuzurei: "Hah! Finally something fun!"
Asteroids began floating across the path.
Without thinking, Yuzurei drifted flawlessly, dodging one with insane control.
Jin Yuan copied the move—barely.
Musukoni: "We should be careful… There might be more ahead."
Jin Yuan: "If this road is our only way back, we can't afford mistakes."
Yuzurei: "Oi oi—Threats? To me, those are treats!"
He pushed the acceleration harder.
The road changed—
more asteroids, floating metal blades, and giant mechanical chainsaws swinging across the path.
Yuzurei: "Ohhh… THIS is what I wanted!"
He drifted under a chainsaw—sparks spraying as he missed death by a hair.
Musukoni: "This is insane… Getting back won't be easy."
After a long, chaotic ride, they reached another portal.
Musukoni: "We should check it. Might be the exit."
They jumped in without hesitation—
—and instantly landed in New York, the very place they were taken from.
Yuzurei: "Tch… looks like the fun's over."
Jin Yuan: "Be grateful. At least we're back on Earth."
Later, they returned to their wooden house in Japan.
Shioinkin stood waiting, hands on hips.
Shioinkin: "You three are late as usual! More training for all of you!"
Musukoni smiled faintly.
Musukoni: "Good news… We returned to the same day we vanished."
Jin Yuan: "That's… comforting."
Yuzurei groaned.
Yuzurei: "Ahhh! Old man! I'm tired!"
They eventually headed to their rooms.
---
Jin Yuan & Emily
Jin Yuan entered his room. Emily sat on the bed reading a magazine.
Emily: "Ah—Jin Yuan. You're late today. What happened?"
Jin Yuan: "I'm fine. Don't worry."
After a bath, he came out wearing a loose black T-shirt and white track pants.
He stood awkwardly.
Jin Yuan: "I… want to do something. Will you get mad?"
Emily blinked.
Emily: "Huh? Um—what is it?"
Jin Yuan silently walked over—
then rested his head on her lap.
Emily froze, cheeks blazing red.
Emily: "O-oh… this is… comfortable."
She gently stroked his hair as he closed his eyes, finally relaxing.
---
Morning
Sunlight slid into the room.
Jin Yuan had unknowingly shifted in his sleep—
his face now resting softly on Emily's chest.
Emily opened her eyes.
Her cheeks instantly flushed.
Carefully, she brushed his hair aside.
Jin Yuan slowly woke—
then realized where he was.
His entire face turned crimson.
Jin Yuan: "I—I'm sorry…"
He sat up immediately.
Emily smiled softly.
Emily: "It's okay… I don't mind."
Flustered, he grabbed his towel and rushed to the bathroom.
---
Meanwhile…
Yuzurei snored loudly, sprawled across his bed.
Musukoni, exhausted, woke up first.
Musukoni: "Yuzurei… stop snoring…"
Yuzurei ignored reality and continued sleeping.
Musukoni sighed, grabbed a pillow—
and gently pressed it onto Yuzurei's mouth.
Instant silence.
He smirked.
Musukoni: "Heh. Blackmail material."
He snapped a photo.
---
A New Student
Outside, Shioinkin stretched.
Shioinkin: "New student should arrive soon."
A girl approached—brown hair, blue eyes, shy posture.
Name: Aria Shinoki
Shinoki: "S-Sensei…"
Shioinkin: "There you are. Come in—I'll introduce you."
---
Inside the House
Musukoni, Jin Yuan, and Emily were gathered.
Shinoki entered shyly.
Musukoni noticed first.
Musukoni: "Sensei… who's she?"
Emily smiled warmly.
Emily: "Nice to meet you!"
Shinoki: "I-I'm… Shinoki…"
Then—
BAM!
Yuzurei kicked his door open.
White fluffy hair messy, left eye bandaged, oversized black T-shirt.
He blinked at Shinoki.
Yuzurei: "Huh!? Who's she?!"
Shioinkin: "Your new team member."
Shinoki blushed instantly.
Shinoki: "I-I'm… Shinoki…"
Yuzurei pointed at her.
Yuzurei: "Why are you blushing?"
---
Training Mission
Shinoki kept blushing while talking to Emily.
Yuzurei watched with a deadpan stare.
Yuzurei: "You're blushing again."
Shinoki: "I—I'm not blushing!"
Yuzurei: "Terrible liar."
Musukoni: "Stop it, you're making it worse."
Shioinkin clapped.
Shioinkin: "Training time!"
Yuzurei: "What is it, old man?"
Musukoni: "Yuzurei!! Say Sensei!"
Yuzurei: "He IS an old man."
Shioinkin ignored him.
Shioinkin: "Tonight, you'll enter the mountain in the dark. Find the note meant for you."
---
Nightfall
Emily & Jin Yuan went one way.
Musukoni went alone.
Yuzurei & Shinoki paired on the opposite side.
Shinoki walked beside Yuzurei quietly.
Yuzurei: "Why did you pair with me?"
Shinoki: "H-HUH?! Sensei did!! I didn't!"
Yuzurei muttered under his breath.
Yuzurei: "That old man…"
---
Emily & Jin Yuan
Emily glanced at the darkness.
Emily: "It's so dark here…"
Jin Yuan nodded silently.
---
Musukoni
He found his picture almost instantly.
Musukoni: "Heh. Easy."
---
Back to Yuzurei & Shinoki
Yuzurei kicked a rock in irritation.
Yuzurei: "Ugh!! This is damn annoying!"
Shinoki stayed close.
Shinoki: "We'll find it… Just be patient, Yuzurei."
The Cyber Ascension Arc 2: The Recovery After Storm | Chapter 13 |
Jin Yuan finally found his picture, and right beside him, Emily spotted hers.
Emily: "Huh… we finally found them."
Jin Yuan simply nodded and began walking down the mountain in silence.
---
Meanwhile, at the bottom:
Musukoni: "This is too easy… they're taking forever."
He smirked, arms crossed proudly.
---
On the other side, Yuzurei was losing his patience.
Yuzurei: "AHH!!! WHERE ARE THESE DAMN PICS!?"
Beside him, Shinoki timidly raised her hand, holding her picture.
Shinoki: "Um… Yuzurei, I—I found mine…"
Yuzurei's eyes widened. In a flash, he appeared beside her, chibi-like, serious and hilarious at the same time.
Yuzurei: "HUH!? WHY CAN'T I FIND MINE!?"
Shinoki blushed intensely, her cheeks bright red.
Shinoki: "Um… if you don't mind… I can help you…"
Yuzurei: "Huh? I don't need your help!"
Shinoki: "…O-okay…"
Her blush deepened.
Yuzurei climbed a tree with monkey-like ease, scanning the area, still finding nothing.
After a while, Shinoki began walking down the mountain alone.
Suddenly, Yuzurei sprinted after her from behind.
Yuzurei: "You… help me. I can't find that damn pic."
He panted heavily. Shinoki's heart skipped a beat as she looked at him, her face turning even redder.
Shinoki: "O-okay! I'll help you."
Together, they searched again.
A few minutes later—
Shinoki: "I found your picture!"
Yuzurei immediately ran to her.
Yuzurei: "YES! Thank you! …Umm? Huh?"
He tapped his chin, thinking hard, then grabbed his head in frustration.
Yuzurei: "Ummm… what's your name again!? I forgot!"
Shinoki nearly melted on the spot.
Shinoki: "I-It's Aria Shinoki… You can call me Shinoki…"
Yuzurei: "Oh! Okay, Shinoki. Thanks for finding my pic."
The two started walking down the mountain together—
one calm and shy,
the other annoyed and clueless,
both unknowingly growing closer.
---
Everyone stretched in the garden under the fresh morning sunlight while Shioinkin watched over them.
Everyone was present—except Yuzurei.
Musukoni: "Ahh… today's morning feels really fresh."
Jin Yuan: "Where is Yuzurei?"
Emily: "Huh? He's always like that… so late as usual."
At the mention of Yuzurei, Shinoki's face immediately turned pink.
Musukoni: "Maybe he's snoring in his room."
Back in the room, Yuzurei was indeed snoring loudly, mumbling nonsense in his sleep.
Back in the garden—
Shioinkin: "He'll arrive soon."
He grinned knowingly.
After a short while, Yuzurei finally appeared, messy white hair everywhere, left eye covered by a cloth from his last battle.
Yuzurei: "Seems I was early."
He stretched lazily.
Musukoni: "Huh? You're not early. You're late again."
Yuzurei ignored him, grinning, and casually stretched beside Shinoki.
Shinoki: "U-umm… g-good morning… Yuzurei…"
Her cheeks instantly pinkened.
Yuzurei: "Ah—yeah! Good morning!"
He replied energetically.
Shinoki's blush deepened further just from hearing his voice.
Emily: "Seems we can start now."
Jin Yuan nodded calmly, while Musukoni noticed Shinoki's bright red face and smiled knowingly.
---
The morning sun cast warm rays across the garden as everyone stretched.
Yuzurei: "Ha ha ha!! I'm the best!"
Musukoni: "No one asked, you know."
Shinoki snickered quietly but tried to control herself.
Yuzurei: "Huh!?!? You dummy! Everyone knows I'm the best!"
He puffed his chest proudly.
Jin Yuan continued stretching calmly, expression composed.
Emily practiced wooden katana swings with gentle precision.
Yuzurei grabbed two wooden katanas, tossing another two into the air and striking a tree with all four. Sparks flew as his skill shone in the morning light—still training tirelessly.
Shioinkin: "My students… they've grown beyond me. They deserve to be happy."
He smiled to himself, pride behind a calm exterior.
Musukoni and Shinoki watched Yuzurei closely.
Musukoni: "He's truly mastered that style… but he keeps training anyway."
Shinoki: "Oh… he's so hardworking~"
She murmured, captivated.
Yuzurei remained oblivious, spinning the four wooden katanas mid-air, striking the tree with perfect precision.
Shioinkin: "Everyone! Breakfast is ready!"
Yuzurei's eyes lit up instantly.
He sprinted to the house, his katanas clattering behind him.
Shinoki followed shyly, Emily and Jin Yuan trailed, Musukoni walked calmly at the back.
At the dining table, Yuzurei claimed his spot, practically vibrating with excitement.
Shinoki sat beside him, cheeks deep red.
Emily positioned herself next to Jin Yuan, calm as always.
Musukoni and Shioinkin took seats nearby.
Yuzurei attacked the food with both hands, munching loudly.
Musukoni: "Did you even wash your hands?"
Yuzurei: "Huh? …Ah, I forgot!"
He kept eating undeterred.
Shioinkin: "He's not even going to stop, is he?"
Shinoki blushed deeper, using a napkin to wipe crumbs from Yuzurei's cheek.
He didn't notice, absorbed in devouring his breakfast.
Yuzurei continued enthusiastically—toast, salad, everything.
Musukoni: "You're turning the whole table into a mess, Yuzurei…"
Yuzurei: "Huh!? More food! More stamina! More strength!"
Shinoki's blush intensified.
Emily: "He really isn't holding back…"
Jin Yuan (muttering): "He's always like that…"
Shinoki: "Yuzurei… um… eat slowly

A Day of Chaos, Fun, and… Roller Coasters
The morning sun slipped gently across the garden, painting soft golden lines on the training mats. Shinoki was already there, her movements sharp yet graceful as she practiced her martial arts. Each strike sliced the air cleanly, each step was light and precise. Her ponytail swayed behind her like a ribbon dancing in the wind.
The quiet morning didn't last long.
With a burst of energy loud enough to scare a flock of imaginary birds, Shinoikin slid open the door.
Shinoikin: "GOOD MORNING, EVERYONE!!"
His voice echoed across the garden like a festival bell.
Musukoni was stretching lazily, Emily was watering flowers with a small smile, and Jin Yuan stood there with his usual "I've seen the universe, nothing surprises me" calm expression.
Someone was missing, though.
Musukoni sighed, rolling his shoulders.
Musukoni: "Ah… he's late again."
As if the universe had been waiting for that exact line, a sudden sharp thump echoed from the house. Yuzurei's senses went from zero to one hundred instantly.
In one chaotic swoosh, Yuzurei burst out of his room through an open window like a missile.
Yuzurei: "Haa! Haa! HAA!!! I'M ALSO COMING!!"
He landed dramatically, breathing like he sprinted through three timelines.
Musukoni face-palmed so hard it deserved an award.
Musukoni: "He's always excited… about everything."
Emily giggled softly, her voice warm like morning tea.
Jin Yuan simply nodded, silently accepting that chaos was the natural state of the universe whenever Yuzurei existed.
Then Shinoki stopped mid-punch.
She looked straight at Yuzurei.
Her cheeks immediately glowed pink.
Shinoki: "U-u-u-umm… G-Good m-morning… Y-Yuzu-kun~"
Her voice was so soft it could melt the handle of a wooden sword. Yuzurei turned to her casually.
Yuzurei: "Oh! Good morning!"
Then he looked at Shinoikin.
Yuzurei: "OI OLD MAN! WHAT'S THE VACATION!? WHERE ARE WE GOING?!"
Musukoni snapped his towel.
Musukoni: "YUZUREI! SAY SENSEI! SENSEI!"
Yuzurei: "Ehh!? He's old man!! Look at him!"
Shinoikin puffed out his chest.
Shinoikin: "Okay, okay! We're going to the Amusement Park!"
The garden fell silent for half a second.
Then—
Yuzurei: "YES!! I'M ALSO COMING!!!"
He jumped so high it felt like he was trying to punch the clouds.
Jin Yuan raised an eyebrow.
Jin Yuan: "Amusement park? Why so suddenly?"
Emily: "It's fun, Yuan. We should relax once in a while."
Shinoki shuffled shyly closer to Yuzurei, almost tip-toeing.
Shinoki: "U-um… I-I'm coming too. I-If Yuzu-kun is going…"
She blushed again, hands behind her back, staring at the ground.
Yuzurei of course didn't notice. He was too busy vibrating with excitement.
Yuzurei: "OLD MAN! WHEN DO WE LEAVE?!"
Shinoikin: "Uh… right now? No wasting time!"
Everyone cheered lightly. Except Jin Yuan, who simply followed along like a man dragged into fate.
---
Arrival at the Amusement Park
After a short trip, they arrived at the giant amusement park filled with loud sounds, bright colors, and children running like loose rockets.
Yuzurei's eyes immediately locked onto the biggest, loudest thing in sight—the towering roller coaster.
Yuzurei: "YES!! THAT ONE!! WE'RE STARTING THERE!!"
The roller coaster twisted through loops and spirals like a giant metal snake laughing at the laws of physics.
Shinoki tugged on Yuzurei's sleeve gently, cheeks still burning.
Shinoki: "Y-Yuzu-kun… i-it looks… dangerous…"
She peeked at the ride, her hands trembling slightly—but still holding onto his sleeve.
Jin Yuan sighed dramatically.
Jin Yuan: "Ah… boring."
Emily gently elbowed him.
Emily: "Come on, Yuan. Let's have some fun."
---
Seat Pairs — Destiny or Chaos?
They lined up and took their seats in pairs:
Yuzurei & Shinoki
Jin Yuan & Emily
Musukoni & Shinoikin
The ride began its slow climb upward.
click… click… click… click…
Yuzurei leaned forward, eyes sparkling like a kid given unlimited candy.
Yuzurei: "YES!! FINALLY SOME FUN!!"
Meanwhile, Shinoki was clinging to Yuzurei's arm like her life depended on it.
Shinoki: "O-Oh… Yuzu-kun…"
Her eyes were squeezed shut, her grip tight.
Yuzurei blinked, confused.
Yuzurei: "Eh? Are you scared?"
Shinoki only squeaked softly.
Emily glanced back with a smile, Jin Yuan looking mildly disappointed at the world.
Musukoni and Shinoikin were arguing about who should've sat where.
Then—
The coaster reached the top.
Silence.
AND THEN— WHOOSH!!!
The roller coaster dropped like it was falling through the sky.
Screams erupted everywhere.
Shinoikin screamed like a goat.
Musukoni screamed like a lion.
Emily laughed joyfully.
Jin Yuan looked like he was meditating through chaos.
Shinoki screamed—but only because Yuzurei was next to her.
And Yuzurei?
Yuzurei: "YESSSSSSSSS!!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!"
It was pure chaos.
Pure fun.
Pure disaster.
And absolutely perfect for this team.
Cyber Ascension — Arc 2: The Recovery After Storm
Volume 2 — Chapter 15: A Day of Chaos, Screams & Fun
The roller coaster screeched to a stop, leaving half the group breathless and the other half… questioning their life choices.
Yuzurei jumped out first, energized like he'd just finished a warm-up jog.
Yuzurei:
"WOOOO!! AGAIN! OLD MAN, AGAIN!!"
Shioinkin was already wobbling like a broken marionette.
Shioinkin:
"Y-You… kids… have too much energy…"
Behind him, Musukoni stepped off the ride with the elegance of someone who lost his soul mid-loop.
Musukoni:
"No… more… circles… please…"
Meanwhile Shinoki was still clinging to Yuzurei's arm even after the ride ended, eyes closed tight.
Yuzurei:
"Uh… Shinoki? Ride's over."
Shinoki:
"Eh—?! S-Sorry!! I-I didn't mean to…!"
Her entire face went pink.
Emily and Jin Yuan got off next.
Emily looked fresh, cheerful, like she just took a nice morning walk.
Emily:
"That was fun~!"
Jin Yuan:
"…I regret coming."
He said that, but his hair was slightly messed up, proving he clearly screamed at least once.
---
Next Stop: Haunted House (Against Jin Yuan's Will)
Yuzurei pointed dramatically at the creepy haunted house.
Yuzurei:
"That one next!! That looks so cool!"
Shinoki:
"Y-Yuzu-Kun… ghost… ghosts are…"
Musukoni:
"Ghosts aren't real. Probably."
Emily:
"I wanna see!"
Shioinkin:
"I'll wait outside—"
Yuzurei:
"You're coming, Old Man."
Shioinkin:
"…I knew you'd say that."
Jin Yuan crossed his arms.
Jin Yuan:
"This is childish. I'm not afraid of—"
A fake skeleton popped out of nowhere.
Jin Yuan:
"…"
Emily:
"Yuan! You jumped!!"
Jin Yuan:
"I did not."
Inside the haunted house:
• Shinoki clung to Yuzurei like a terrified kitten
• Musukoni punched a fake zombie out of reflex
• Emily laughed at everything
• Shioinkin nearly tripped over his own fear
• Jin Yuan pretended he wasn't scared but flinched at every sound
Yuzurei, meanwhile, walked confidently like he was on a casual evening stroll.
Yuzurei:
"These props are weak… If this was real, I'd smash—"
A ghost animatronic suddenly screamed from behind.
Yuzurei:
"HOOO!?"
Even he jumped.
Shinoki grabbed his sleeve harder.
Shinoki:
"Yuzu-Kun! D-Don't leave me!"
Emily giggled.
Emily:
"Hehe~ This is the best."
---
Snack Time: Chaos Edition
After surviving the haunted house, they sat at a food court.
Yuzurei instantly ordered the largest possible drink.
Musukoni:
"That's bigger than your head."
Yuzurei:
"Fuel for FUN!"
Emily got ice cream. Jin Yuan got nothing and stole bites from Emily's ice cream every few minutes.
Emily:
"Yuan… that's the third bite…"
Jin Yuan:
"I don't recall."
Shinoki bought cotton candy but ended up too shy to eat it properly, trying tiny bites while glancing at Yuzurei.
Shioinkin ate a hot dog with the seriousness of a warrior preparing for battle.
---
Ferris Wheel — The Calm After Chaos
They all agreed to ride the ferris wheel last.
Pairs again:
Yuzurei & Shinoki
Emily & Jin Yuan
Musukoni & Shioinkin
In Yuzurei & Shinoki's cabin, Shinoki sat stiffly like the seat was made of spikes.
Shinoki:
"Yuzu-Kun… this is… kind of… romantic…"
Yuzurei:
"Romantic? No, it's just a wheel."
Shinoki nearly died internally.
Meanwhile in the other cabin—
Emily:
"Yuan, the view is beautiful!"
Jin Yuan:
"Mm. Your ice cream was decent."
Emily:
"Yuan!!"
And in Musukoni & Shioinkin's cabin—
Musukoni:
"Old man, don't look down."
Shioinkin:
"…Too late."
---
The Day Ends With Laughs
When they finally left the amusement park, everyone looked satisfied—except Musukoni and Shioinkin, who looked ten years older.
Yuzurei:
"Let's come again tomorrow!"
Musukoni:
"No."
Jin Yuan:
"…Absolutely not."
Emily:
"I would love to!"
Shinoki:
"If Yuzu-Kun goes… I will go too…"
Yuzurei stretched his arms with a grin.
Yuzurei:
"Best. Day. Ever."
And for once…
No battles.
No monsters.
No blood.
Just a group of weird, chaotic friends having fun.
Cyber Ascension Arc 2 — The Recovery After Storm
Volume 2 — Chapter 15 : The New Members
The morning sun streamed gently across the garden, casting warm golden light over the training grounds. Birds chirped faintly in the distance while a soft breeze rustled the leaves. The day after their chaotic amusement park adventure, everyone seemed to be waking up at their usual pace… except one.
Shinoki was practicing her martial arts with quiet determination, her wooden sword slicing through the air with precise, flowing motions. Nearby, Emily mirrored the movements with her own wooden katana, her strokes smooth and deliberate. Musukoni stretched methodically, legs extended as he flexed, while Jin Yuan silently swung his wooden sword, his movements controlled and calculated as always.
But the garden wasn't complete. Yuzurei was missing, yet again.
Shioinkin clapped his hands together energetically, a broad grin on his face.
Shioinkin:
"Okay, okay, students! Listen up! Today, we have two new students joining our ranks!"
The words hit Yuzurei like a bolt of lightning. In his room, his senses sharpened instantly, razor-blade sharp. Before anyone could blink, he burst through the sliding doors of the garden with a dramatic leap.
Yuzurei:
"WHO IS IT!?!? TELL ME NOW!!!"
Jin Yuan calmly facepalmed, his composure undisturbed, while Emily smiled warmly, ever the calm presence.
Shinoki froze mid-swing, her cheeks tinting pink as she muttered softly.
Shinoki:
"G…good morning… Yuzu-Kun…"
Yuzurei stopped mid-leap, his expression going chibi—blank, deadpan, and oddly hilarious.
Yuzurei:
"Why are you blushing? I didn't do anything!"
Shinoki could barely respond. Her knees nearly gave out as her blush deepened, and she felt like she was melting on the spot.
Shioinkin:
"Enough! Enough! Pay attention!"
Yuzurei:
"Tell me, Old Man! I demand to know!!"
Musukoni tugged at Yuzurei's cap, forcing him to pause.
Musukoni:
"Hey! Say 'Sensei!'"
Shioinkin waved his hand with authority.
Shioinkin:
"We have two new students arriving shortly. Be patient."
---
Moments later, the garden gates swung open, and two figures stepped through.
The first was a young man, around twenty, with striking big blue eyes and messy black hair brushing his neck. His black suit was stylish but casually worn—coat unbuttoned, white shirt tucked neatly into black pants, and his tie loose around his collar. On his back rested a long suitcase, almost arm-length but narrow. His relaxed posture and teasing grin gave off an air of effortless confidence.
Shioinkin:
"Students, meet Nashino Ichinin!"
Beside him was a stunning woman, also seemingly in her twenties, radiating calm composure. Her long black-blue hair flowed elegantly down her back, and her dark eyes held an unshakable stillness. She wore a sleek black dress, full-length sleeves, reaching her ankles, paired with simple black shoes. Her presence was serene, almost untouchable.
Shioinkin:
"And this is Youchina Inonki. She's brilliant, calm, and can master any fighting style instantly."
---
The students stared. Jin Yuan's sharp gaze first landed on Nashino, though he said nothing. Musukoni's analytical eyes scanned Youchina's aura, though Nashino's thoughts proved frustratingly elusive. Emily stepped forward, beaming warmly.
Emily:
"Hi~ I'm Aria Emily. You can call me Emily. Nice to meet you!"
Nashino leaned back slightly, hands behind his head, grin playful.
Nashino:
"Yo~ Hai! I'm Nashino Ichinin. You can just call me Nashino."
Before anyone could respond, Yuzurei—without warning—launched at Nashino like a missile.
Yuzurei:
"HEY! FIGHT ME!!"
Everyone braced themselves, expecting another usual scene of Yuzurei charging wildly. But Nashino simply vanished—reappearing a few feet behind him with a teasing smirk.
Nashino:
"Well, someone's impatient today."
Youchina gently placed her hand on Nashino's shoulder, calm as ever.
Youchina:
"Don't pick a fight, Nashino."
Nashino:
"Huh… boring."
Yuzurei froze mid-step, eyes wide in shock.
Yuzurei:
"How the hell did you—do that?!?"
Musukoni lightly smacked Yuzurei on the head.
Musukoni:
"Yuzurei! Stop being rude!"
Shinoki watched quietly, cheeks burning as she bit her lip, unable to look away from the chaos.
Shioinkin:
"Enough! I'll introduce everyone properly."
He placed a hand on Nashino's shoulder.
Shioinkin:
"This is Nashino Ichinin. Once an S-Rank assassin, now voluntarily joining our school."
Gasps echoed around the garden. Even Jin Yuan's stoic expression flickered in surprise.
Musukoni:
"An S-Rank assassin…?"
Nashino waved casually, grinning playfully.
Nashino:
"Relax, guys. Don't take me too seriously."
Shioinkin then gestured toward Youchina.
Shioinkin:
"And this is Youchina. Calm, analytical, extremely intelligent. She can learn any opponent's fighting style in an instant."
Emily:
"Nice to meet you, Youchina!"
Shinoki stepped forward shyly.
Youchina:
"Nice to meet you too."
Nashino intertwined his fingers behind his head, smirking.
Nashino:
"So… what's the name of our little organization here?"
Musukoni:
"Well… we haven't decided yet."
Yuzurei:
"Huh!? I'll choose the name!!!"
Nashino:
"Maybe… The Cyber Hunters? Sounds fun, right?"
Yuzurei's eyes lit up.
Yuzurei:
"HEY! I LIKE THAT ONE!!"
Shinoki peeked from behind Yuzurei, still blushing as she whispered,
Shinoki:
"He really is… full of energy as always…"
Emily smiled softly at the playful banter, while Jin Yuan's calm gaze swept over the new members, already analyzing their movements. Musukoni smirked quietly, silently impressed with Youchina's presence while scratching his head over Nashino's teasing, impossible aura.
Shioinkin grinned widely, looking at his students—the old and the new.
Shioinkin:
"Alright! Everyone, welcome Nashino and Youchina to our little family. Let's see how much chaos you can survive… and how much fun we can all have together!"
Yuzurei bounced on the balls of his feet, already plotting their next duel, while Nashino laughed lightly, disappearing and reappearing behind him for fun. Youchina remained calm, a soft smile finally appearing as she observed the lively scene around her.
It was the start of a new chapter for the team: more laughter, more chaos, more excitement—and just maybe, a little more romance for some blushing souls.

( My Readers I'm Adding Last Previous Chapter Recap here )
The night air in the garden was calm, the faint glow of lanterns illuminating the wooden practice area. Shinoki was moving with focused precision, performing her martial arts routines with grace, her movements fluid and controlled. Emily stood nearby, wooden katana in hand, swinging with soft elegance. On the other side, Musukoni stretched his legs methodically, maintaining balance and poise, while Jin Yuan practiced measured swings with his own wooden katana.
Of course, one familiar presence was still missing.
Shioinkin's eyes swept over the group, a mischievous glint in them.
Shioinkin: "Alright, students! Today we have two new students joining us!"
At those words, Yuzurei's senses shot up like blades. His eyes snapped open, and without hesitation, he burst from the sliding doors of his room, almost skidding across the garden floor in his excitement.
Yuzurei: "Who is it?! WHO'S JOINING?!"
Musukoni facepalmed, already expecting the chaos.
Musukoni: "He's always like this…"
Emily smiled warmly, while Shinoki's cheeks tinged with pink as she stole nervous glances at Yuzurei.
Shinoki: "G…Good morning… Yuzu-Kun~"
Her voice trembled slightly, soft and sweet like honey, and Yuzurei froze mid-step, his face turning chibi deadpan.
Yuzurei: "Why are you blushing? I didn't do anything!"
Shinoki could barely respond, her body almost melting on the spot from his reaction.
Shioinkin: "Enough, enough! Listen here, everyone."
Yuzurei: "Tell us, Old Man!"
Musukoni tugged at Yuzurei's cap, trying to restrain him.
Musukoni: "Hey! Say Sensei!"
Shioinkin: "We have two new students joining today. They'll arrive any moment now."
Moments later, a young man walked into the garden, exuding casual confidence. He was around twenty, with messy black hair brushing his neck, big blue eyes sparkling with mischief, and a loose black suit jacket over a tucked-in white shirt. His tie hung lazily, and he carried an arm-length suitcase on his back.
Shioinkin: "This is Nashino Ichinin! Once an S-Rank assassin, now he's joining us."
Musukoni's eyes widened slightly at the mention, and even Jin Yuan's composed gaze lingered on him.
Nashino threw his arms behind his head with a playful grin.
Nashino: "Yo~ Hi! I'm Nashino Ichinin. You can call me Nashino."
Beside him appeared a stunning young woman, also around twenty, with long black-blue hair cascading down her back. Her expression was calm and almost untouchable, her deep black eyes observing everything with quiet intelligence. She wore a long black dress with full sleeves, reaching her ankles, paired with simple black shoes.
Shioinkin: "And this is Youchina Inonki. Her intellect and calmness allow her to instantly learn any fighting style she observes."
Emily stepped forward with a warm smile.
Emily: "Hi~ I'm Aria Emily! Nice to meet you!"
Nashino: "Hey, nice to meet all of you!"
Yuzurei's face immediately lit up with excitement—and challenge.
Yuzurei: "HEY! Fight me!!!"
He lunged at Nashino as if it were a normal morning routine. Everyone froze for a split second, expecting Yuzurei to actually throw a punch. But Nashino, with a playful smirk, vanished in an instant, appearing behind Yuzurei with a small dagger drawn—but before anyone panicked, it was revealed as a rubber prop.
Nashino: "Relax, just kidding!"
Youchina placed a calm hand on Nashino's shoulder.
Youchina: "Stop picking fights, Nashino."
Nashino: "Huh? Boring."
Yuzurei's jaw dropped.
Yuzurei: "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!?"
Musukoni: "Yuzurei! Stop being rude!"
Shinoki's blush deepened, watching the playful chaos unfold.
Shioinkin: "Alright, enough teasing! I'll introduce everyone properly!"
He gestured to Nashino.
Shioinkin: "Once an S-Rank assassin, Nashino now trains with us, bringing unmatched skill."
Musukoni: "An S-Rank assassin?!"
Nashino waved casually.
Nashino: "Yeah yeah, don't overthink it. Just here to have fun."
Shioinkin then introduced Youchina.
Shioinkin: "And Youchina, calm, intelligent, and adaptable—she can replicate any fighting style she observes."
Emily: "Nice to meet you, Youchina!"
Youchina: "Likewise."
Nashino leaned back, hands behind his head.
Nashino: "So, what's the name of our organization?"
Musukoni: "We haven't decided yet."
Yuzurei: "Huh?! I'll choose it!"
Nashino: "How about… The Cyber Hunters?"
The room buzzed with energy, everyone laughing, teasing, and curious about these new additions.
---
Later that night, Youchina, Emily, and Shinoki trained together in the garden uner the gentle glow of lanterns.
Emily: "Youchina, what's your power? .
