Thomas and Sophie took shelter inside what used to be an antique shop. Dust everywhere. Shelves broken. Old relics scattered like bones.Thomas carried the unconscious Blind Sister inside."We gotta do something about her," he said."I'll tie her up," Sophie replied. Thomas set the witch down. Sophie wrapped rope around her arms and legs, tight. The moment she finished, the Blind Sister snapped awake and lunged but the ropes held. She hissed, voice sharp and ancient. "Let me go, mortals! I'll kill you all! I'll hex your families your children will suffer!" Thomas stared at her. "For someone whose fate is in our hands, you make a lot of demands."Sophie stepped forward. "Show us how you make the spells."The witch laughed high‑pitched, mocking! "Why would I show you, sweetheart?" The witch said to Sophie Thomas pulled her hood back. Underneath was a face older than time skin wrinkled like dried leather, eyes white and blind.Thomas stepped back. "Are you human?" "Yes," she whispered. "I was. Now I am a Blind Sister."Sophie frowned. "If you're blind… how can you see us?" "I can't see you, darling. I can sense you."Thomas nodded slowly. "Just like how I sense the old man… and Luke."The witch turned her head sharply. "Pooch. I smell you. You're here."Pooch stepped forward". The witch said
"Yes im here And I'm no longer part of your legion." pooch said "You imbecile," the witch spat. "I will make you my next sacrifice for my next ritual traitor. You helped kill my sisters. You'll suffer, mutt." Thomas barked, voice sharp. "HEY. That's enough. You don't threaten my friends." The witch fell silent not out of fear, but because she sensed Thomas's strength .Inside her mind, she thought "Is this the human they all spoke of"? Her tone shifted instantly. "My apologies… just tell me what you want. You seem like decent people." the witch said Thomas narrowed his eyes.
Sophie scoffed. "Playing friendly won't work on us, witch."The witch's face twisted violently. "I'll have your head, pretty girl. Moloch needs more worthy sacrifices."Thomas, Sophie, and Pooch froze."Moloch?" Sophie said. But Before the witch could answer the heroes heard a sound coming outside CLANK. CLANK. CLANK. Chains. Slow. Steady.
Echoing through the fog outside. Pooch peeked through the window. "Master… Thomas… Sophie…"They looked. A massive figure 7 foot 7, draped in a robe covered in symbols of planets and ancient markings walked through the fog. Two lit candles hung from chains in its hands, swinging back and forth. Sophie whispered, "Who is that?"Thomas shook his head.
"No idea. But be ready." The figure walked straight toward the shop. Inside, the Blind Sister began to panic truly panic."I'm sorry! Please let me go! I won't harm anyone! Please!" Thomas and Sophie exchanged confused looks.Pooch swallowed. "Master… I think… it might be a warlock." Sophie asked, "Is that good or bad?" Before Pooch could answer The witch floated into the air, screaming a screech so loud it stabbed the heroes' ears.
They covered their ears, wincing at the soudnof the witch screams. The doors exploded open. The Warlock entered.A floating robe. No face. No body. Just darkness inside. Chains swinging. Candles burning. The Warlock didn't even look at Thomas or Sophie. He walked straight to the witch. The Witch eyes turned blood‑red. She shrieked in terror. In one swift motion, the Warlock wrapped his chain around her neck and yanked her toward him.
He grabbed her head with one massive reptilian arm glowing green and slammed her face‑first into the floor, cracking it open. Then he hurled her across the room wall to wall each impact leaving blood splatters and dents.Thomas, Sophie, and Pooch watched in stunned silence. The witch hung limp, barely alive. The Warlock lifted her by the throat. His reptilian arm glowed brighter. ThenSHUNK. He punched straight through her chest. Ripped out her heart. The Warlock liftes her heart up high then eats it. Then Dropped her corpse. Wrapped a candle‑chain around her leg. The warlock turned and looks at the heroes. The heroes stared into the darkness inside his hood nothing but void. Then the warlock walked out, dragging the witch's body behind him, disappearing into the fog.Silence. Thomas exhaled. "Pooch… what just happened?" Pooch swallowed hard. "Warlocks and witches… they have been at war with each other for centuries." Sophie nodded slowly. "Explains why he didn't attack us."Pooch nodded.
"He only cares about witches."Thomas looked at the fog where the Warlock vanished."This only happens in the New World."
