The Unholy Ones moved through the forest without a care in the world. Jr and Roger ran ahead, leaping and sniffing, while Pa, Bear, and Angel walked calmly behind them. A twig snapped. Bear froze. Before anyone could react, a net shot up from the ground and wrapped around the family, hoisting them into the air. Angel groaned.
"Great job, you big dummy. You got us caught." Bear huffed. "I didn't know there was a net." Angel rolled her eyes. "Try using those eyes, moron." Pa sighed. "Children, enough. Fighting won't get us down." Angel muttered,"Having him with us doesn't help either." Pa gave her a look.
"Princess… please." Angel glared back, frustrated. Pa called out, "Roger! Jr!" Silence.He called again, louder. "Roger! Jr!" Only his voice echoed through the trees. Angel scoffed. "For someone with dog‑level hearing, Roger sure acts deaf." Pa shouted again. "Roger! Jr!" A laugh answered him. A strange, sinister laugh. Pa stiffened.
"Who's there?"The laughter grew louder, closer, familiar. Angel snapped, "Show yourself, loser! Laughing in the bushes is giving creep vibes!" Bear whispered,"Angel… stop." The figure stepped out.Tall. Slinky. Long limbs. Skin pale like a human that haven't seen the sun in years, but stretched unnaturally. Claws instead of nails. A hunched posture. A head shaped like a grey alien. Pa smiled politely.
"Ah… it's you. How've you been, friend? Seems my family got caught in your trap."The creature grinned too wide, too sharp. "No mistake, Pa. more like fate." Pa's smile faded. "We're demons, not prey. We're on a mission from lord Azazel."The creature licked its lips.
"Azazel can find other bounty hunters."Pa's heart dropped.This thing wasn't letting them go."What do you want?" Pa asked. The creature's voice was flat. "We all have to eat."Angel scoffed. "Then go pick berries, you lazy ugly thing." Pa whispered, "He doesn't want human food… he wants us."The creature laughed. "Bingo." Pa growled.
At that moment, Jr dropped from a high branch, trying to crush the creature. Jr missed and the creature dodged, rolling aside. Roger lunged in, biting the creature's long arm. The family cheered from the net. Jr swung a thick branch, cracking it across the creature's head.
Its eyes flashed bright yellow.The creature yanked Roger's jaw open and kicked him away. Jr attacked again, but the creature parried and caught the tree branch and knocked Jr back. Its veins bulged under the skin glowing green. Pa shouted, "Boys, careful! It's a mutant!" Jr blinked.
"Does that mean he's human?" Jr said, Pa yelled, "He was human!" The creature dropped to all fours and crawled with terrifying speed. Jr leapt into the trees. Roger tried to bite again, but the creature grabbed his head and opened its mouth unnaturally wide and bit the back of Roger neck. Roger cried out like a wounded dog. Pa screamed, "Roger!" Jr launched himself from above, slamming into the creature and knocking it away from Roger. The creature screeched. Jr stared at it, then startedpounding his chest like a furious chimp.
Bear whispered, "What's he doing?" Pa shook his head. "I don't know." Jr charged.The creature tried to grab him, but Jr dodged every swipe, countering with wild, precise strikes. The creature used its tail to grab Roger's leg Jr jumped just in time, landing on a branch.The chase went into the trees. Jr leapt tree to tree.
The creature followed, climbing with unnatural speed. Then as Jr jumps to the next tree the creature jumps trying to grab Jr In midair, but Jr twisted his body and kicked the creature downward. It fell, screaming, crashing into the ground. Dazed, broken, struggling to rise Jr dropped from above like a meteor, slamming into the creature with full force.The forest went silent. The creature didn't move again. Jr checks to make sure the creature was dead then Jr tore open the net, freeing his family. They rushed to Roger, who whimpered and bled but was still alive. Pa knelt beside him. "My son… you'll live." Roger pointed weakly, whining like a dog. Bear growled, "I'll kill every one of those things myself." Pa shook his head. "No. We finish our mission first. After that… we'll send these creatures to extinction."
