Chapter 44 - Chapter 43: Abusing Geass Until Completely Mastering It

Everything has a power source. Things magically don't happen. That's how it always was and will always be.

If someone says 'magic', this individual is an ignorant fool.

Because the Sun is the source of all power in the Solar System, the heat and light that it generates are what allowed humanity to appear on the third rock from the Sun.

It's the source of everything.

So when someone would say Geass is 'magic' that it magically happens, it's pure ignorance.

Because Marcus is ready to torture himself to find out how Geass works.

Looking at himself in the mirror, using his Geass to dig into Geass. He looked deeper and deeper until he saw his nervous system and his brain, even deeper until he saw it.

Energies… that originated from his very soul… connected to Collective Consciousness.

Marcus realised that this energy was feeding on him to give him this power and to grow stronger.

'Meaning that once it is at a critical point, it should evolve in some sort of form.'

After making all of the discoveries, he pulled back, but at the same time, pain washed over both of his eyes.

He hissed from pain for a second as he closed his eyes, and when he opened them again. His vision changed!

Both of his eyes were red now! Geass glowing in both eyes!

'This is crazy! How the hell does this work?'

For a second, he closed his eyes and took a breath.

But then he heard a commotion.

"You idiot!" C.C. blasted into the room.

"What is wrong with you! Your Geass already went out of control!" She stomped into his Dojo with righteous fury.

"You are the one who gave it to me. Now shut up and let me do my thing." He looked at her, but at the very least, she was not red to him.

"Ugh…" She groaned as the girl dropped on the floor and waited for him. By this point, Leila and Kallen walked in as well. The pair looked confused. What did he do?

"What happened? Why do both of his eyes have Geass?" Leila asked C.C.

"He overused it. I have never seen someone abuse their power this much." The witch replied, concerned with the speed of his Geass growth.

Instead of saying anything, he kept watching himself in the mirror.

One hour, three hours, then in the early morning, when all three of them were sleeping on the wooden floor, Marcus' eyes returned to their regular purple colour.

'All I had to do was control the energy flow. This only worked for me when I had considerable energy.'

With a casual thought, both his eyes morphed and became Geass, then returned to their regular state, and he played around with them on and off.

But then he looked at three girls sleeping on the floor.

'Silly women.'

He sighed and looked around. The sun started to rise. He could see through the window that it was time to sleep. So he strolled over, picked up Leila, took her to his bed, and fell asleep while hugging the girl, who woke up midway through being carried.

The blonde smirked as she realised she had chosen her over the witch or the red pilot!

She ended up hugging him back.

~~~~~~Couple Days Later~~~~~~
C.C. bit her nails as she looked at Marcus working with his new Geass, programming even faster than ever.
He was improving the designs for Legion Bots, adding new features to the plane's cargo hold.
The reason why C.C. was annoyed is that Marcus was someone who broke her understanding of Geass.
He only had it for three days, but he already mastered it to the point that he can turn it on and off, and it spread out to the other eye!
'Damn him! I thought the new power would bring him closer to me, but he had already passed that point.'
All she could think of was how crazy he could be.
She pondered for a second, then decided to invert her actions.
Since she can't get him close with her powers, she can get him close with his powers.
"Lelouch. I want to learn how to pilot." She walked over and asked with her classic lazy tone.
"Your lazy tone is telling me that you don't care." He replied without looking away from his screen.
She frowned for a second before getting a bit more serious.
"I might look lazy, but I am very serious." She explained to him, trying to get more of his attention.
"Fine. In that case, get into one of my Simulation Spheres and begin your training. I want to see you develop a machine just for yourself. If you can do that, I could build one for you." He looked at her, and his eyes returned to normal.
"...You don't sound confident in my abilities." She complained, realising it sounded different for her than for any other girl.
"That's because I am not. You lack motivation. When you lack motivation, it's pointless for you to try in the first place." He explained his lack of faith in her.
"Hmph. We shall see." With a flick of her long hair, she walked to one of the simulators. She got inside without hesitation. After figuring out how this works, the witch began her training.
If he needs proof, she will show him she can be very serious and even more useful! After all, she can't die.
That's one of the greatest perks she has on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Marcus looked at her. He was satisfied to see that C.C. is becoming more proactive.
With her inside the simulator, the Inventor Prince checked out the data he got. It would seem her sister's machine is far from ready. Cornelia only did the simulation for two hours.
All Legion got that she prefers a lance, and that's about it. His AI requires more data to refine a model specifically for her.
'In that case.'
He sent a message to his Viceroy sister, telling her that she needs to simulate at least 24 to 30 hours to have a decent idea for her mobile suit.
Once the message is sent, he returns to his work.
~~~

Marcus realised that his new power is a bit absurd. He redesigned his legion bots for space use in a matter of hours.

Then he added special brackets for transportation. His inspiration for that came from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace when B1 droids dropped out of their transporters onto the battlefield.

Same style for his legion bots when it comes to storing and carrying.

His cargo hold of the blackbird was redesigned. At the same time, he created his first satellites.

Instead of using the already busy blackbird, he used his drone carrier.

Replacing drones with small satellites proved to be quite easy. After doing some alterations to the carrier, Marcus got into his Mobile suit and launched into space; the carrier followed him.

The trip was short, as before long, he was overseeing the deployment of his communication satellites.

These small satellites are considerably powerful, combined with strategic deployment around the planet. Marcus will never be outside the range of his base's AI.

With these satellites, he could be even in the most remote Desert in Asia or Africa or even in South America's Patagonia. He would get his Mobile Suit in less than ten minutes.

Simply put, it was a perfect foundational asset that he needed for the Space Infrastructure as well.

Not that Marcus was paying much attention as his Geass eyes were glowing and he was processing information.

His Geass, combined with eidetic memory, makes his brain work like a computer.

That means he can continue processing what he saw even at a time like this.

Midway, he concluded that he could use the Geass energy that powers Geass to copy brainwaves; if he could potentially do that, then he could imitate other Geass powers.

That is, if he could get to look at other people's Geass. He wouldn't mind looking at his father's Geass. Charles, Geass would make conquest far easier than ever before.

Rewrite memories? Hell yeah, he could cause chaos and unrest on a huge scale before invading.

And that is just from the top of his head!

If that could work, he could have any Geass. But that's assuming he can scan other people's brainwaves.

As he pondered that, he checked his connection.

A small smile appeared on his lips as there was a direct link to his base and his new island base.

However, this was not the end, as he sent the drone carrier back to base to resupply with new drones before returning to space.

As this was happening, something different was happening in the Tokyo Settlement.

~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~
"So this is the 7th generation Knightmare." Cornelia looked at the white machine docket at the back of a white truck.
"Please call him Lancelot." The nerd scientist commented as he looked at the Viceroy.
"This is my brother Schneizel's new toy. I heard he spent millions of pounds on it. How did it fare against the alien machine?" She asked, ignoring Lloyd's request.
"..."
"..."
It was a sore spot for the Camelot's division as the pair of developers looked at the ground.
"I thought so. Regardless, what is it you want from me, Earl Asplund?" Cornelia asked the creator of Lancelot.
"...Well, I heard some rumours that Anaheim is supplying the Purist faction with experimental joints and robotics technologies.
They don't sell that specific technology, so I am curious if you could get me any of that." He asked with a small smile.
"Lloyd!" His assistant exclaimed in shock! That's the first time she has heard any of that!
"And what will I get for such a favour?" Cornelia asked, curious for her part.
"...never before seen information on these alien machines." He smirked while saying that.
"Oh?"
"I heard that Empire is actively hunting them, after all, Euro Britannia lost entire Eastern Europe from the last Alien Machine's intervention."
"Machines, there are at least three of them, and all of them have unique technologies," Cornelia revealed the information that Britannia knows not.
"...Three?"
"The first one we call the Winged one, the second one is the female winged one, and the last one is simply the beast.
The beast is the one who single-handedly wiped out almost the entire St Michael's order. That close to a hundred Sutherlands."
"...That's a lot." The Nerd Scientist and his assistant looked shocked to say the least.
"Indeed. So if you want me to help you, your information should be valuable. Besides, your patron is Schneizel; he is the one you should be talking to." Cornelia sighed as she felt that she was interfering in not her business.
But she could use this to learn what these Camelot people know about Lelouch's machines.
"Well, his highness is busy in the war effort, we can't easily contact him, and you, Viceroy, are the next best thing," Lloyd replied, causing Cecile, his assistant, to panic. It was rude!
"Is that so. It depends on whether this information is useful."
"Of course. Please follow me!" Lancelot's creator motioned for Cornelia and her knight to follow to their truck.
At the back, they had computers that were in use.
Midway, they meet Suzaku, who was still working on Lancelot. The guy in the middle is becoming an expert in his machine, which is impressive to say the least.
In a sense, it was like sharpening his sword. Sadly, the sword was a paper one when compared to the enemy.
"This is Suzaku Kururugi. He is Lancelot's pilot."
"...An Eleven…" Cornelia was surprised… a bit… but she recalled that the 'Beast' is piloted by one as well.
"He has great compatibility with the machine, and he is an Honorary Britannian.
"Is that so? As long as he's doing his job, it's fine with me." She quickly dismissed the brown haired teen and looked at Lloyd.
"Now show me this data. I want to see if it's worth wasting my time helping you." She motioned to continue.
