~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~
'This is far too easy with my Vercigetorix.' Shin thought to himself as his 7th-generation machine danced through the battlefield.
In Centaur mode, the machine would use its front legs to stomb the E.U.'s Panzer Hummel to death before using a golden shotgun to blast another Knightmare.
His swordsmasters in red Gloucesters slashed through the field alongside him.
"My Lord, the city centre is ours." One of the followers said to the Grand Master.
"Indeed…"
'This is far too easy…' Shin thought to himself as he had this feeling that something was off.
Then…
*Pew*
*Pew*
*Pew*
Blue beams erased Gloucesters as if they were made from tissue paper.
The Grand Master swiftly looked around before spotting a machine looking down at him from the sky.
"Shin Hyuuga Shiang."
The machine spoke in a synthetic voice as it slowly floated down.
Shin's eyes widened in shock before his expression morphed into a small smirk.
"Well, well… this is going to be interesting." The current Grand Master realised that this was a gamble, a gamble that could lead him to die or win the whole game!
'If I can play this right, I might get my revenge this very day.'
The man had heard about this alien machine; everyone in Euro Britannia was aware of it.
It was so powerful that it could end nations singlehandedly.
And now one appeared before him!
Shin swiftly wanted to engage in a conversation, but the machine simply opened fire and erased his Knightmare's lower half.
Before he could do anything, the emergency ejection should have kicked in, but his mech malfunctioned and instead collapsed on the ground.
The new Grand Master thankfully had the belts on, as he would have injured himself in the fall.
As the emergency systems were on, he tried to scramble to escape, but something was holding him in place.
He could feel movement. Shin waited, trying to figure out what was going on, where was he getting taken?
After a few moments, the top of his cockpit was removed, and he saw the daylight.
The man could see that the alien machine was looking down on him.
These actions have confused him. He wondered what is going on.
Though what happened next made his hopes skyrocket as he saw the pilot leave the machine!
This has made him grin from ear to ear as he swiftly did the same!
"Die!!!"
Shin Hyuuga Shiang's left eye glowed as his geass turned on.
He wanted to see the guy kill himself with the katana he was holding…
But nothing has happened!
"Don't tell me you expected that to work? I thought you were a smart guy. But, you have dissapointed me." The black dressed guy pulled out his katana.
"...Why didn't it work?" Shin asked himself as he was confused.
"I am here for you specifically. Did you expect I wouldn't have protection against your Geass?" The guy took a sword stance.
"...Y-You know about my power?" The Grand Master looked surprised.
"Do you know that you are not so special, Shin Hyuuga Shiang?" His eyes changed as both of them became red with bird symbols.
"...You have the same eyes!"
This realisation caused Shin to get on edge as he got his sword as well.
But the black dressed guy was… strange. He tried to defend himself, but he couldn't.
"My Geass allows me to see everything you will or would ever do. I know it before your brain would come up with it."
"!!!"
*SWISH*
The sword Shin was holding flew out of his hand as the katana was pointing at his neck.
"Do you know why I am doing all of this?" The black dressed man asked.
Not that the Grand Master of the Holy Order of Michael had any idea.
"You are a rogue Geass User. You are not part of my father's Geass Order; you are a wild card that I can experiment with." The guy snorted while saying that.
"..."
"Did you even think that you had a chance to fight against Britannia? Did you even consider that the Emperor has Geass? Far more powerful than your simple death one?"
He joked, but Shin's eyes widened in surprise.
"Indeed, my father's eyes control memories. All he needs to do is look at your eyes, and you would forget why you were doing anything; he would have turned you into another one of his minions."
"...W-Who are you?" By this point, the Grand Master's gears began to spin. He realised that the game was far bigger than he had predicted!
If the Emperor had an entire order of people with special powers, it explains a lot, but at the same time, it would be a far bigger deal to destroy such an Empire.
"Don't worry. Your sacrifice will make my machines even more powerful."
"!!!"
Before he could say another thing, the sword's handle slammed into his gut. The moment was so fast that before he could react, pain washed over him.
The rogue Geass user collapsed on his knees as the last thing he saw was a huge plane landing behind the black dressed man.
'...What are you?'
'But it does make sense… this was some sort of faction…capable of defying Britannia.'
Darkness consumed his consciousness as he got knocked out.
~~~
"So that's Shin Hyuuga Shiang. The rogue Geass user." Leila walked over as she watched Marcus look at the knocked-out Shin.
"Yes. He was, in fact, a Geass user. He can command people to kill themselves."
"...That's some twisted power." The blonde commented with wide eyes. Thankfully, she got her contact lenses on!
"The lenses did work, right?"
"Well, I am still here, right?" Marcus joked for a second. But the girl swiftly grabbed his hand and hugged it.
She looked spooked.
"Horrible jokes aside, you are okay?"
The Inventor Prince nodded as he looked at the other trophy.
The golden Knightmare. While damaged, he can fix it.
"Yes. I have what I need for the next part of the 3rd-generation machine. I got a Geass user who can send out orders; this will allow me to study outgoing frequencies."
"You know that my Geass can connect people emotionally…" She hugged him tighter as she reminded him that she could as well.
"I know. Your Geass could be helpful in the next stage of human evolution." He looked at her light purple eyes.
"?"
"In other words, psychics."
Her expression morphed into confusion before switching into realisation.
"You mean something like mind reading?"
"Not necessary, more like an emphatic connection. Something like that would be fantastic for people who want to understand each other."
'In other words, this could be something my father never considered.'
Marcus thought to himself. The Emperor wants a world without lies. The best solution would be to make everyone psychics who can read each other's emotions.
Instead of killing the God.
Like seriously… that's from 0 to 100…
"That is true. If you could, you could develop technology like that?" She asked, the girl was 100% for that!
"That's my Geass Interface. What I am thinking of installing in 3rd generation machines."
As he said, men in black tactical gear walked over to his side as the plane's ramp lowered.
"Take him into a cell and lock up his hands and implant contact lenses so that he cannot use his Geass," Marcus instructed his soldiers.
"Understood, My Prince."
"Oh, and retrieve the damaged Knightmare, it will be a good side activity for me to fix it later." With that said, he turned around and began to walk towards the plane with Leila still holding his hand closely.
~~~~~~A Bit Later~~~~~~
A bit later, whatever amusement Marcus had vanished.
For one, he couldn't track where his sister was and her Knight Order were. It was like they were keeping everything about their actions a secret.
The Inventor Prince began to suspect that the Britannians are suspicious of their own systems, which could be complicated in the future.
However, this is something he could expect from his older brother, Schneizel.
Apart from that, his prisoner was not cooperative.
"If I participate in your tests, you won't need me afterwards. So, I will simply stay like this." Shin Hyuuga Shiang smirked as he was sitting in his cage in the hangar bay.
By this point, he knew that everyone here had contact lenses that blocked his powers.
"I see." Marcus nodded as he took a portable chair, unfolded it and sat before his prisoner.
"So we will have a civil conversation, Marcus Goldman."
The Grand Master of the Holy Order of Saint Michael was a bit surprised that the Head Researcher and the CEO of Anaheim were the ones who developed these absurd machines.
It was quite a surprise. He never expected that there was such a side to that robotics company!
"Indeed. I do need to test your Geass readings." Marcus replied with crossed arms.
"Ha. I could assist, but I do need a guarantee that I will survive after the tests are done." Shin replied before suggesting a solution.
"I could join your organisation." The Grand Master looked around the hangar. He could see an impressive line-up of machines.
"This way, I wouldn't mind using my Geass and explaining in more detail about its limitations." The man offered a solution to the current circumstances.
"Hn." Marcus nodded, hearing him out.
"You do realise that I know what you did to your predecessor?"
Shin's expression immediately shifted.
"Apart from that, you do realise that I understand considerably more about Geass than you know?
More examples: Geass is a type of energy that manifests through an individual's consciousness and brainwaves.
That means that there is no Geass that is the same, simply because people are different. There can be a considerable amount of similarities, but in the end, they are different.
Now, if we follow that train of thought, it means that Geass power reveals an individual's personality."
Marcus looked at Shin with a frown.
"That means your power that orders people to commit suicide shows how much you value life.
The amount of loyalty I could get from you is as much as I could get from a wild predator.
You killed your superior in cold blood and took his position." The Prince concluded the crash course of Shin's personality.
"... it would seem I won't be able to help you." The Grand Master of the Holy Order concluded.
"Indeed. But don't worry, you will get three meals a day and some cable television." Marcus stood up and folded the chair before walking away for a couple of steps, before turning around and looking at Shin with his Geass.
The look was short, but for some reason, it caused the Rogue Geass user to feel a cold chill pass through his spine.
~~~
'There are other ways for you to use your Geass, Shin Hyuuga Shiang.' Marcus looked at Shin as he saw thousands of paths and routes, countless developments, until he decided on one.
While it looked like it took an eternity, in truth, it was only a few moments for the Prince as he found a route he wanted to take with the rapid dog before him.
Once he had a route he wanted, he walked to the crew quarters, got into his room and began to plot.
He needs to develop a play where Shin would use his Geass, and he would record the data.
'But, what is annoying is where is Marrybell?' Marcus checked his global network and Britannian databases.
All he got is the creation of Glynda Knights, custom Sutherlands that have been ordered to this new Knight Order.
'She has a prototype airship as well? Well, well…'
Marcus was surprised, after all, Lloyd is the one who developed that.
'But I guess he left enough data for prototypes to be developed.'
The Prince stroked his chin as he needed to recalibrate the satellites to pick up Airships.
"You look depressed." Leila wrapped her hands around his head. She hugged him from behind.
"I am, people don't want to play with me." He sighed, before closing the console and moving his head up and looking at her.
"Well, people don't play games which they are rigged to lose." The girl replied with a forced smile.
"...True. I guess I need to give them hope that they can win."
Marcus pondered…
Yes, that is what he should do.
