"W-What the hell was that!?" Kallen and Leila just witnessed Shin Hyuuga Sheng kill himself! The guy took the pistol and blasted his brain out!
"I think… Marcus somehow learned how to use that power from witnessing Shin Hyuuga Sheng's Geass." Leila tried to think logically about what she saw.
"...Is that even possible?" Kallen asked; she wasn't sure such a thing existed in Geass.
"Theoretically, it is possible." The blonde pondered with crossed arms.
"...Damn… so that is why he kept this lunatic as a prisoner." The red-haired pilot realised why this guy was kept around. Anaheim isn't known to keep prisoners in its base. In MAIN BASE.
The Main Underground base is off-limits, especially to criminals. It's not a prison but a place where the newest technology is made.
Not long after that, Marcus walked into the workshop, looking a bit happier.
"...You don't look like someone who just sent a person to his grave," Leila commented with a small frown.
"I see this as putting down a rabid dog. Not a person." The Exiled Prince replied with a similar frown.
"Is that so?" She hummed before walking over to him.
"So you learned how to copy other geass now?" The blonde looked at him from top to bottom.
"Doesn't its power come from one's personality?" She curiously asked him.
"My Original does come from that. But I can manually control Geass Energy and then copy Shin's energy's prequency with Orderly Sequence."
"...so that's how it is." Leila realised the true might of his eyes. It was wilder than she had imagined.
"So now you can order people to their death?" Kallen asked him.
"I can." He smiled a bit while saying that.
"So that means he could copy your Geass?" Kallen asked Leila as she looked at the blonde.
"Maybe not. I don't have an idea what my power is now." The Blonde shook her head.
"You don't know that I don't care what your power became. It is your power…so." He shrugged at her.
Leila narrowed her eyes as all of a sudden, one of her eyes changed into red geass as she looked at his eyes.
"I shall rule the Cosmos, leave behind eternal monuments through a billion worlds. Humanity, aliens, monsters or whatever exist in space shall know who built it, an eternal reminder of what a legacy is and what it has brought."
'W-What is this!?' The girl's eyes trembled as she heard Marcus speaking in her head! It's like he explained about himself!
"Well?" He asked her, curious what her power did.
"You could just copy. I just used it." She pouted at him.
"And you assume I will just copy all the Geass?" He rolled his eyes at him.
"It's your power. It's different from taking powers from defeated enemies and that of my girlfriend." The Prince frowned at her words.
"I have standards."
"Is that so?" She crossed her arms; in that case, she decided to explain to him.
"It's similar to my previous power. But instead of feeling it gives me a deeper understanding of why you do what you do."
"Is that so? So it still allows you to understand a person just by looking into his eyes." He concluded.
"Indeed. I Learned that nothing will stop you from becoming literally immortal or more like immortalised." Leila said with a bit of worried tone. Now she is curious how he became like that?
Was it the trauma he experienced? Did it cause him to desire such a thing?
"Heh, curious." He got closer to her.
"Your power isn't wrong." The Prince admitted. This was the response she needed to ask the next very simple question.
"Why?"
Instead of bluntly answering, he pondered his response before explaining.
"Because I have too. Many people don't take the next step without someone doing for them. On top of that, I feel that I have to be the one who does it.
Because I know no one else will do it. Not even the Emperor when his favourite wife was killed." He looked at his hand for a second, and it began to tremble.
Clear sign of anger and frustration.
"You can say… that I don't trust humanity to do what they need to do to take the next step and change the world."
His response caused the blonde to hug him tightly, but this was not the end, as the crimson-haired girl hugged him from the back as well.
This double hug caused him to chuckle.
"Hugs do save the world."
"Hehehe." The pair giggled for a second.
~~~~~~Later~~~~~~
Marcus focused on his Geass now that he had the Code and could copy another Geass. He was able to continue working on a platform that could access Geass Energy.
At the same time, he began putting finishing touches on Euphemia's machine. Not that the girl needed that much, as she threw herself into making lives better in Japan and any of the newly conquered or simply lands that joined them.
But there was one individual who began to feel annoyed that it took that long.
A few days later, after making Shin Hyuuga Sheng kill himself, C.C. ended up taking a shuttle to Solomon's Base.
The green-haired girl strolled through the base like she owned it.
Eventually, she found Marcus' workshop.
"Oh, Her Majesty the Witch finally decided to grace us with her presence." The Exiled Prince sarcastically commented as he knew she was en route.
To his sarcasm, she deadpanned at him.
"You left me in your old workshop for over a month." She replied with an emotionless tone. Not amused at all.
"Left? I asked you if you wanted to come. Your response was 'hnn'. You were more fascinated with pizza creation and different combinations."
His reply caused her to blush for a second.
"Whatever." She rolled her eyes before strolling in… then her body stopped in her tracks as she saw a small skull with a code on its forehead.
"...This is…" C.C. asked. She could not believe what she was looking at.
"This is V.V. or what is left of him." He replied, getting up from his seat and walking over to her.
"You said you guys are immortal, so I tested that theory. Turns out, in front of Cosmos, not even Code Bearers can survive." He said in a bit of a smug voice.
"..." She looked at him. For the first time in a very long time, she felt… a bit of fear.
"What did you do to him?" C.C. asked him, while a bit fearful, she was curious.
"A Giga Electromagnetic Particle Cannon slammed into Geass Order at 10 thousand kilometres per second." He said with a smile.
"...What happened to Geass Order?" She asked him, realising something midway.
"...What order?" He grinned at her.
"...I see…" The green-haired witch sighed, realising that he not only killed V.V but ended the Geass Order. In a single move, he ended Ragnarok Connection from ever happening.
"Since you ended V.V… it means Ragonarok Connection won't happen." The girl finally explained to him.
"Only Code Bearers can interact with Thought Elevators to a higher level? Right? I already realised how Geass evolves into Code."
"..."
Several expressions went through her face.
"...You already figured that out that far?" She asked, surprised, and terrified at the same time.
"Indeed, I could even teach you how you could get back your Geass as well." He winked at her.
"...Would I lose Code in process?" C.C. considered that!
*Sigh*
"Your mind is a bit inflexible, C.C." He sighed, a bit dissapointed.
"Code is nothing more than an oversaturation of Geass Energy. You know that for Geass to become Code the Geass has to be strong to a certain level.
I assume you got your Code when your Geass was in both of your eyes?"
She stiffly nodded.
"Yes, well, for code to exist, your body had to accumulate a considerable amount of energy." He explained while showing a finger as if explaining to a student.
"For you to access your Code and Geass, you need to control the energy and its flow." He dropped the bombshell… in her opinion.
"...How you even do that?" She asked him.
Instead, he showed his Geass.
"As you can see, I can control my Geass even when it's considered out-of-control Geass." He then turned it off.
"...I know… You can do that." She puffed while looking away.
"Well, I was developing a platform for you to start learning the process of controlling it." He showed her… her mobile suit.
"...Your KK-unit."
One of her eyebrows went up. She then looked at the mech and him.
"...A mobile suit will allow me to control my Code?" The green-haired witch asked with a confused look.
"Not the suit. But the Cockpit." He showed her a new custom seat inside the cockpit.
"The neural link is designed to pick up Geass Energy; you technically will be able to sense this energy after spending a considerable amount of time piloting the machine.
"While not perfect, I am designing a synthetic version of my Geass. This artificial version should allow you to help as well.
"...Synthetic? As in man-made Geass?" She asked, How is that even possible? Geass Order was considering a man-made version, but they had no such thing when she was the leader.
Yet this guy is already designing something a month and a half into having his eyes!?
"Not in a way you are imagining."
He swiftly showed her a capsule of some sort, big enough for a person to get inside.
"This capsule will simulate my geass, where a person will be able to learn things at a rapid pace.
It will be used for pilots to improve their piloting and reaction speed, or for talented individuals to catch up to Anaheim's technological progress."
The witch realised what this was.
"You made a Geass… into technology… that is impressive."
"Yes. That is why, it's time for you to accept your code and learn how to wield it." He looked at her and then at the mobile suit, which seemed quite basic, with no weapons or extra wings… none of that stuff.
"KK-51/DA01 Ecne. A mobile suit designed purely to wield Geass Energy."
"...What can it do?" She asked, intrigued and a bit unnerved.
"What can't it do? It will be able to utilise any Geass that Legion has recorded. At the moment, you can order every single person to kill himself from inside the machine." He said… then stroked his chin, thinking of something else.
"I could even record my eyes, and you could pick up Geass Energy even faster." Marcus realised that it was a possibility!
"...You crazy bastard! You achieved what Charles wanted for many years." C.C. was terrified that if this fell to any other faction, it would be genocide on an insane scale!
And it would lead to a ruthless dictatorship! Machines that could kill with a simple gaze!
"That's the difference between my old man and me. He wants it and I do it." He shrugged at her proclamations.
"...I can see that." Her eyes shook as she looked at Ecne.
"Celtic God of Wisdom." He said while looking at the Mobile Suit.
"... You should destroy it. It's too dangerous!"
Her response surprised him a bit, as he looked at her for a second time.
"You have no idea how long I spent making this machine, and you want me to destroy it? Are you nuts?" He frowned, dissapointed in his witch.
"It's a dangerous machine! What if it ends in the wrong hands?"
He snorted when he heard that.
"Just how naive are you?" Marcus looked even more dissapointed.
"All of my machines are 'dangerous' and could end the world! They are powered by literal suns! If they blow up, they would take entire cities with them!
And you tell me it's too dangerous… just how… uneducated you can be." He began to rant before taking a deep breath.
He raised his hands, motioning for her to leave.
"You can pilot a Setanta for all I care. I will keep Ecne for myself."
"..."
It would seem she stepped on a landmine, as they say. These machines are a touchy subject to have.
