Synopsis
She doesn’t remember the fire. But it remembers her. Niah Esme Viremont lives a quiet life in the fog-shrouded town of Eldermere, surrounded by dusty books and the hushed silence of forgotten stories. But when shadows begin to whisper her name and a stranger with storm-grey eyes walks into her life, carrying secrets that feel older than time, everything starts to unravel. Drawn into a world where memories burn and promises echo through centuries, Niah discovers that the line between love and fate is thinner than the veil itself. He calls her by a name she’s never heard. He looks at her like she’s the only flame left in a dying world. And as desire and danger intertwine, Niah must face the truth buried within her soul, that some embers never die, and some names are never truly forgotten. Because when the veil tears… Love and ruin will rise together.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

The Veil was never meant to be torn. But like all things, even the boundary between waking and dreaming eventually begins to fray.

Long before the world split open, there were watchers; sentinels woven from oath and aether, bound to keep the balance no one else could see.

There was a Trickster, the kind who laughed with starlight in his blood. A Flamebearer who carried every memory like a wound that refused to close. And a creature born of ash and shadow, one who shouldn't have lived long enough to be counted among them.

Once, people called them gods. Maybe they even believed it themselves.

But belief doesn't stop a fall. And the Veil… the Veil remembers everything, especially what the rest of us choose to forget.

Now, something ancient is stirring again, waking slowly inside the bones of a girl who can't even remember her own name.

Fate is uneasy. Whispers of embers fill the air. And those who shattered the world long ago might be the only ones capable of fixing it.

Or they might end up sealing its fate again.
