The sun appeared from under the hill, and light cascaded across the beautiful-looking village that looked like it was straight from a fairytale.
The village rested quietly between green hills, where two clear rivers wound through the valley like silver ribbons.
In the morning, just like now, mist drifted above the water, catching the first pale rays of sunlight and turning the whole valley soft and dreamlike.
Small wooden houses stood along the riverbanks, their dark roofs dotted with moss and their windows glowing warmly from within.
Narrow stone paths connected the homes, winding beneath pink sakura trees heavy with blossoms.
Beyond the houses, fields of wildflowers and golden wheat stretched toward the foothills.
Waterwheels turned lazily in the current, creaking now and then as the rivers carried them around.
