Chapter 24 - *Honeymoon phase

2020, July 22nd

(Location Undisclosed)

AIDEN

You: What's your 20?

Keira: In position. Awaiting target intel.

I lowered the pamphlet in my hand down to the bridge of my nose. I was standing some distance from the hotel reception desk, watching the new arrivals check in.

You: Loud yellow tie with blue polka dots.

Keira: Target located. Taking the shot. Get out of there.

You: 10-4.

Before I could discreetly make myself scarce, my eyes met with the manager's. I flashed the man my best smile before turning my back on him and heading back up towards the elevator.

When all hell broke loose, like I knew it would, the victim's wife went off like a bomb. Her screeching hit the back of my ears hard. A whimsical thrill went through me as I got into the elevator, making my getaway.

Keira: Mission complete.

You: I was made. No evidence.

I got back to our room just as the manager arrived in front of our door. Before the manager could say anything, I pulled Keira into my arms and kissed her on the lips.

"I just missed her so much. New couple. Honeymoon phase. You know how it is," I said, offering the manager another practised smile.

"This doesn't make us look suspicious at all," she whispered to me, squirming in my arms to get away.

"What part of no evidence did you not get?" I asked with a grin, looking into her unusually nervous eyes.

Keira Dormer wasn't unnerved by people. No matter what kind of trouble we got into, she didn't care. I could and had therefore deduced that it must be me she was reacting to. The satisfaction I got from her reaction to my little kiss, considering what we were probably about to do, was on full display. I tightened my hold on her, pulled her closer, reached out to her chest and wiped a spot of paint away for her.

KEIRA

I was bloody blushing, wasn't I? Perfect. I couldn't help it. His hands on me and that amazing, provocative smile were doing me in. The no kissing without fucking rule seemed to be a thing of the past. Kisses didn't always lead to a fuck either. Sometimes it was a light peck or a chaste claiming of lips that simply meant I'm here.

"Well we were hit again, same as last time," said the manager, looking away from our public display of affection uncomfortably. "Room 104's couple has been moved up to the presidential suite, courtesy of the hotel, after an unfortunate paintball incident."

"Absolutely horrible," I mumbled, barely acknowledging the manager as Aiden and I traded warm, little looks.

He was as laid back as ever even after I'd just blasted paint all over some poor random guest and his luggage. Last time Aiden was the one to do it. He all but laughed in the manager's face when the man came to our room to ask us if we had seen anything.

"We do hope you find them this time," said Aiden, leading me back into the room before closing the door on the manager. "Yeah, he's onto us. Why are we costing the man thousands per night again?"

"We're not costing him anything. It's not his hotel. Besides, I like this place. If we get neighbors, we'll get another noise complaint and be asked to kindly leave again."

I started working on getting his buttons undone. It was a miracle that I still knew how to undo buttons, because I certainly hadn't needed to in the last week.

"Are you sure that's all this is?" he asked, closing a hand over the one on his shirt.

"What else would it be?" I asked innocently, letting my hand drop down to his pants.

I had never had so much earth shattering sex in my life. To top it all off, it was with him. A man whose company I couldn't help enjoying.

Little things started happening after he gave me the ring. We spent hours making small talk and discovering more subtle ways of touching.

Rapid clicking and fighting over the remote eventually led to us stumbling on our shared love of Anime. Thus began the which is better Anime or Manga debate.

Once a day, usually an hour before sunset, I would allow us to break this new, unspoken, no leaving the hotel rule. Then we would go for a run.

It was the same trail through the woods every time. I chose that one specifically for its seclusion. At the end of the trail, we set up targets and practiced our marksmanship.

Gradually he stopped hiding how good he was with a gun. We grew competitive, each flexing for the other. Seldom was anyone nearly as good as me. I competed with experienced soldiers for a decade. Still he was the only person to rival my marksmanship. Even Katie wasn't this good.

This was our routine now. I thought he was content. He was all over me the last few days. I sensed more change was coming though. We hadn't seen the sun while it was still up high in the sky in a week. He was getting cabin fever. The dread rose inside me gradually. I held my breathe, awaiting the inevitable.

"I am absolutely crazy about what's about to happen, believe me I am," he said, watching me step out of my dress.

He took me back into his arms and kissed me again. What was he doing? Kisses threw me off my game. I couldn't think when his lips molded to mine. When he kissed me, I found myself wanting to give him things.

"But maybe today we can do something outside? No big deal, just a little walk or—" he said in between featherlight, swoonworthy pecks.

I cut him off, detaching my mouth from his and backing away slowly.

He watched me with ravenous eyes as the sleeves of my dress came down my shoulders. It was time to bring out the big guns. I'd never dropped my panties so fast before. I crawled onto the bed and gave him a painfully long look at me at my ass.

For someone who had fucked his fair share of women and then some, he was utterly fascinated by my body. Banking on his

dick taking control of his actions, like it usually did, I turned to face him.
