Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Shiomi's Spice Class and Daily Tasks

As soon as Satou mentioned this, Erina Nakiri remembered the scene where she buried his face under her panties, and she couldn't help but blush intensely, saying exasperatedly, "In short, on campus, we have no relationship whatsoever! You're not allowed to call me if you see me!"

"Alright."

Satou shrugged, saying helplessly.

Next, the two of them separated to go to class.

Following the class information Erina Nakiri gave him, Satou successfully found his class.

Soon after he entered the classroom, the Instructor walked in and began the class.

The person who walked in was a loli with a youthful face and large breasts, wearing glasses.

"Please stand in your pre-assigned groups, class is starting. My name is Jun Shiomi, and from now on, I will be your Instructor for the spice class."

She walked to the podium, bowed, and said.

Although Jun Shiomi looked like a middle school student, she was actually thirty-four years old.

"What? It's Professor Jun! The youngest genius professor in Far Moon history!"

"Doesn't she usually teach second-year students? This is going to be tough."

The students whispered amongst themselves, their faces filled with worry.

At this time, Satou had also successfully found his group members.

It was a girl with blue hair, two braids, and a cute appearance.

Huh, isn't this Tadokoro Megumi?

Satou's eyes lit up; he had a very deep impression of this cute girl.

However, Tadokoro Megumi's face was a little pale at this moment. With her hands clasped in front of her chest, she said timidly, "It's over. I didn't expect this Instructor to be Professor Jun Shiomi!"

"Really? But she seems quite easy to talk to."

Satou looked at Jun Shiomi, who resembled a middle school student, and said.

"That's not it at all!"

Tadokoro Megumi said excitedly, "It's true that Professor Jun Shiomi is very kind in private, but she is a true academic. She's not good at anything except research, and that translates into an extraordinarily strict and merciless demeanor in class!"

"Excuse me, Instructor, what is today's topic?"

At this moment, someone raised their hand and asked weakly.

"Today's topic…"

Jun Shiomi rested her finger on her chin, thought for a moment, and said, "Just make any dish you like. The theme is to highlight spices and satisfy me."

"What a broad topic!"

"What do you mean by 'just make any dish'?"

"How do you highlight spices?"

The classroom was filled with wails again, and the students all cried out.

But Jun Shiomi ignored everyone and simply sat down on the podium.

Tadokoro Megumi also felt her vision go black and almost fainted.

"Wuwuwu, I'm definitely going to be expelled this time."

She squatted on the ground, whimpering pitifully.

Satou couldn't help but comfort her, "It's okay, we'll find a way."

"Huh? Classmate, do you have any research on spices?"

Tadokoro Megumi's eyes lit up as she asked.

"No."

Satou said.

However, he felt that with his current cooking skill level, trying it out shouldn't be too bad; at least getting a passing grade wouldn't be a problem.

The hope that Tadokoro Megumi had just ignited instantly vanished again.

"Forget it, at this point, we can only take it one step at a time."

Tadokoro Megumi sighed, stood up, and bowed, "My name is Tadokoro Megumi, please guide me."

"My name is Satou, please guide me."

Satou said.

"Satou? I don't seem to have heard that name before."

Tadokoro Megumi placed her finger on her lips, looking a little bewildered.

Such a unique name, if she had heard it in junior high, she shouldn't have forgotten it.

"Oh, I'm a transfer student."

Satou explained.

"A transfer student?"

Tadokoro Megumi sounded as if she had heard something terrifying, "Are you with that transfer student who boasted shamelessly at the freshman ceremony?"

The thought of possibly being associated with that transfer student who caused public outrage made Tadokoro Megumi feel a wave of despair.

"Oh, I don't know him."

Satou said; he knew the guy Tadokoro Megumi was talking about was Yukihira Soma.

"Really? That's good then."

Tadokoro Megumi patted her chest with some lingering fear. She had already made up her mind not to get involved with that transfer student in any way.

At this moment, Satou received a new task.

"Daily Task

Task Description: Get an A or higher evaluation in more than half of the courses.

Task Reward: A Daily Experience Gift Pack (small chance to open recipes, fantasy ingredients)."

"A daily task?"

Satou nodded. This meant he would have to work hard to get an A in all his classes.

"Then let's begin."

He said with a smile.

"Okay."

Perhaps infected by Satou's strong confidence, Tadokoro Megumi also calmed down, clenching her small fists and nodding heavily.

To make a dish that highlights spices, Satou thought it over and over and finally decided to make five-spice beef.

"Beef, the lean meat from the shank."

"Okay!"

"Classmate Tadokoro, cut the beef along the grain, then poke a few small holes and put salt in."

"No problem, Classmate Satou!"

"Is the beef marinated?"

"It's ready!"

Subsequently, the two began to get busy.

"Look, isn't that the guy who came up from last place? No matter how hard she tries, she can't escape the fate of expulsion."

"Yeah, that guy with her looks so unfamiliar, is he also a transfer student?"

"If he's like that boastful transfer student, he's probably a useless good-for-nothing too, right?"

The surrounding students looked at Satou and Tadokoro Megumi, discussing in low voices, their tones full of disdain.

Soon, an hour and a half passed, and students successively submitted their dishes.

"This is rosemary roasted lamb chops, please enjoy."

Jun Shiomi picked up a knife and fork, cut a piece, and tasted it.

"You used fresh, tender rosemary leaves to roast it, didn't you?"

She asked, "Rosemary has a strong, pine-like fragrance, which is indeed very suitable for removing gamey odors."

"Yes."

The student was immediately overjoyed.

However, Jun Shiomi's tone changed, "But, for dishes that are heated for a long time, using fresh, tender leaves can easily destroy the flavor. You should use dried rosemary or rosemary powder. Don't you even know this?"
