Chapter 39 - Chapter 39: The Tsundere Who Can't Lie

"Hey, hey, Miss."

Satou woke Sakura Chiyo from her beautiful dream.

Sakura Chiyo opened her eyes somewhat blankly and saw the face that had appeared in her dream wedding.

Sakura Chiyo was stunned for a moment, then suddenly let out a scream!

"Why are you here!"

She pointed at Satou and shouted.

"What are you talking about?"

Satou looked at her with a bewildered expression.

Sakura Chiyo felt like spitting blood at this moment. Why did the groom in her dream look exactly like this hateful shop owner!

Could it be...

That's absolutely impossible!

"Now, can you tell me? Is this dish worth the price?"

Satou looked at her with a half-smile and asked.

Sakura Chiyo's face instantly turned crimson. Just as she was about to say it wasn't worth it, the dreamlike wedding suddenly reappeared in her mind, and an unprecedented feeling of happiness enveloped her once more.

"Why is this happening? Why do I feel so happy? So blessed? It's as if all my troubles have left me."

Sakura Chiyo's heart was filled with shock at this moment. Could this hateful shop owner's dish really possess the magic to make people feel happy?

"No way? Is his cooking really that amazing?"

"When that young girl ate the dish just now, she smiled so happily. Such a pure smile definitely cannot be faked."

"Yes, and that fried rice looked so delicious."

Although Sakura Chiyo didn't answer, the people nearby still understood everything from her expression and couldn't help but start to hesitate.

"Um, could I also have a taste?"

Nozaki Umetarou suddenly spoke, then directly pulled out two large banknotes and said.

"Nozaki-kun!"

Sakura Chiyo looked at him in shock.

"I also want to see if this dish truly possesses such magic."

Nozaki Umetarou said calmly.

"Okay, no problem."

Satou smiled, then took the money and turned to go into the kitchen.

When he was making the fried rice earlier, he made several servings. Soon, another plate of Yangzhou Fried Rice was brought out by him.

"So fragrant."

Nozaki Umetarou twitched his nose, a look of surprise appearing on his face, then picked up a spoon and put a spoonful of rice into his mouth.

...

"This year's Best Shoujo Manga Author Award goes to Yumeno Sakiko!"

Hearing the host announce his pen name, Nozaki Umetarou was stunned for a moment, and then an unprecedented feeling of happiness enveloped him.

Walking onto the podium and seeing the enthusiastic applause from below, Nozaki Umetarou's heart was filled with satisfaction, feeling that all his efforts had finally paid off.

"I finally created the best work!"

He said excitedly.

...

Sakura Chiyo stared blankly at Nozaki Umetarou, who was smiling happily, her heart turbulent like a raging storm!

Oh my goodness! Nozaki-kun, who always had a poker face, actually showed a childlike smile!

"Shop owner, please give me a serving!"

"Me too!"

"Don't cut in line! I'm first!"

At this moment, people began to get excited, rushing forward one by one, wanting to taste this magical dish.

"Apologies, today we can only sell thirty servings. There are twenty-eight servings left now."

Satou said.

"What? Only that much?"

"Please sell it to me, I'm willing to pay one hundred thousand!"

"I'll offer two hundred thousand!"

Before long, the price was driven higher and higher, directly reaching two hundred thousand.

"Apologies, we do not accept the highest bidder. Please come in order."

Satou said.

Beside him, Kaga Aoi's eyes were wide, feeling as if banknotes were everywhere.

Two hours later, the customers finally left, but there were still some who hadn't managed to buy anything and were unwilling to leave.

"Apologies, we're out for today. Please head back."

Satou persuaded them, and only then did they reluctantly depart.

"Apologies for what I said to you earlier."

At this moment, Sakura Chiyo walked up, saying somewhat awkwardly.

"Huh? You haven't left yet?"

Satou looked at her and Nozaki Umetarou in surprise.

"Mm, we'll come again next time. But it will be after a week!"

Sakura Chiyo said, feeling a pang of heartache thinking about her week's allowance, but eating such a wonderful dish was worth it.

"By the way, are you hungry? Do you want some supper?"

After seeing the two off, Satou asked Kaga Aoi.

"Eh? Wasn't the food sold out?"

Kaga Aoi asked in surprise.

"There's still a little in the big pot."

Satou smiled slightly. He had specifically left it aside.

Then he brought out a small portion of Yangzhou Fried Rice and Hand-pulled Cabbage, treating Kaga Aoi for her help.

"Thank you!"

Kaga Aoi smiled slightly; she was indeed hungry.

As soon as she tasted Satou's dish, Kaga Aoi was completely conquered. Her small face turned red, and she began to eat heartily.

"Mmm, I didn't expect Satou's cooking to be so delicious! This is definitely the best food I've ever eaten! It's even better than the high-class restaurant our family goes to once a year! No wonder it can be sold for so much!"

She finished the Hand-pulled Cabbage with the Yangzhou Fried Rice in no time. She rubbed her round belly and said happily.

In her mind, she couldn't help but imagine the happy times with Satou and their family of three after they got married.

"Huh? What are you looking at?"

Satou noticed her gaze was a bit off and couldn't help but ask.

"Nothing."

Kaga Aoi's face flushed.

Afterward, the two went to the kitchen to wash the bowls, and Satou prepared to close the shop.

"Then, Satou, see you tomorrow!"

Kaga Aoi waved her hand and smiled.

"Okay!"

Satou smiled as he watched her figure disappear down the street.

"Host has completed the shop opening quest and received one Miltank."

The System's voice rang out.

Satou nodded, then returned to his Apartment alone.

"You're back."

Erina Nakiri heard the movement and came out of her room, walking into Satou's room.

"Yes."

Satou nodded.

"Why are you back so late today?"

Erina Nakiri hesitated for a moment before asking.

"Huh?"

Satou was slightly surprised, "Are you perhaps worried about me?"

"How... how could that be! I... how could I possibly be worried about you!"

The Tsundere immediately became flustered, her face so red it looked like blood could drip from it, and she stammered.

Satou glanced at her sideways. As expected of a Tsundere, she couldn't even manage the innate human skill of lying.

This fellow, besides cooking, probably can't do anything else, right?

Next, Satou went alone to the Tsundere's private kitchen and released the Miltank he had just obtained.
