The afternoon sun was warm and comfortable. It was around 2:30 PM, and everyone was tired from playing in the water for so long.
Shin was lying on a floater shaped like a comfortable bed. His eyes were closed, and he was enjoying the gentle rocking of the waves. Nearby, Shizuka was on a round floater, letting her fingers trail through the cool water.
On top of the submarine, Doraemon had set up a beach chair. He was wearing big sunglasses and reading a cat magazine. He looked completely relaxed.
Gian was on a large rectangular floater, snoring loudly. His mouth was wide open, and he was completely knocked out from all the swimming and playing.
Nobita was nearby on his own floater, also fast asleep. He had one arm hanging over the side, touching the water. Even in his sleep, he had a small smile on his face.
"This is so peaceful," Shizuka said softly, looking at the clear blue sky.
"Yeah," Shin agreed, opening his eyes. "Days like this are the best."
"Shin, can I ask you something?" Shizuka said.
"Sure, what is it?"
"What's your school like? In the countryside, I mean," Shizuka asked, turning to look at him.
Shin thought about it. "It's small. Really small. My whole school probably has fewer students than just one grade here in Tokyo."
"Really? That small?" Shizuka sounded surprised.
"Yeah. Everyone knows everyone. It's quiet and peaceful, but sometimes it gets a bit boring," Shin smiled. "That's why I'm really happy to be here with all of you."
"I'm glad you came too," Shizuka said warmly. "You're really interesting, Shin. You can build amazing things, you're smart, and you're really nice."
"Thanks," Shin said. "What about you? Tell me more about Nobita and everyone."
Shizuka laughed softly. "Well, Nobita is always getting into trouble. He's not good at studying or sports, and he's always late for school. But he has the kindest heart of anyone I know."
"I can see that," Shin nodded.
"Gian can be a bit rough sometimes, but he's actually a good friend. He's strong and brave. And Suneo, well, he likes to brag, but deep down he cares about us too," Shizuka continued.
"And Doraemon?" Shin asked.
"Doraemon is like a best friend to all of us. He always helps us when we need it. He's really special," Shizuka smiled.
They talked for a while longer, their floaters drifting slowly on the calm water. The sun felt good on their skin, and the sound of the waves was soothing.
After a while, Shin's stomach growled.
"Oh!" Shin said, laughing a bit. "I guess I'm getting hungry."
"Me too, actually," Shizuka admitted. "We've been playing all morning and afternoon."
"Should we eat something?" Shin asked. "I can cook for everyone."
Shizuka's eyes widened. "You can cook?"
"Of course!" Shin said proudly. In his previous life, he had learned to cook for himself. Those skills were still with him. "Let me make something good for everyone."
"That sounds wonderful!" Shizuka said.
They both started paddling their floaters toward the submarine. When they got close, they climbed up the ladder to the top.
Doraemon was still sitting in his beach chair, looking completely relaxed in his big sunglasses. He was reading his cat magazine and didn't notice them at first.
Shin chuckled at the sight. "Doraemon looks like he's enjoying himself."
Shizuka giggled. "He really does!"
Hearing their voices, Doraemon looked up. "Oh! Shin, Shizuka! Did you have a nice swim?"
"Yes! It was great," Shizuka said. "But now we're getting hungry."
"Hungry? Now that you mention it, I'm hungry too!" Doraemon said, putting down his magazine.
"Don't worry. I'm going to cook for everyone," Shin announced. "Let's let Gian and Nobita sleep a bit longer while we work."
"You're going to cook? What are you making?" Doraemon asked, standing up and taking off his sunglasses.
"How does pizza sound?" Shin asked with a grin.
"Pizza!" Doraemon's eyes lit up. "I love pizza!"
"That sounds delicious!" Shizuka clapped her hands together.
"Great! Give me a minute," Shin said. He went down the ladder into the submarine and came back up carrying the pink Obtaining Bag.
"What's that?" Shizuka asked.
"This is Doraemon's Obtaining Bag. I can get anything I need from it," Shin explained.
He reached into the bag. "I need a table."
He pulled out a large folding table and set it up on the submarine's deck.
"I need a portable oven."
Out came a standing oven, the kind that plugs in and can cook anywhere.
"I need ingredients for pizza."
He started pulling out flour, yeast, tomatoes, cheese, pepperoni, chicken, vegetables, olive oil, salt, and everything else needed to make pizza from scratch.
Shizuka and Doraemon watched in amazement as Shin set up an entire kitchen on top of the submarine.
"This is incredible!" Shizuka said.
"Can I help?" she asked.
"Of course! That would be great!" Shin said. "Can you cut some vegetables for toppings?"
"Sure!" Shizuka said happily.
Shin started working on the pizza dough. He mixed flour, water, yeast, salt, and a bit of olive oil in a bowl. His hands moved confidently, kneading the dough until it was smooth and elastic.
"Wow, Shin! You really know what you're doing!" Doraemon said, watching closely.
"Thanks! I've made pizza many times before," Shin said. In his previous life, pizza was one of his favorite things to make.
He divided the dough into four portions and set them aside to rest. Then he turned on the portable oven to preheat.
"Now for the sauce," Shin said.
He started making pizza sauce from scratch, crushing tomatoes, adding garlic, basil, salt, and a bit of sugar. The smell was amazing.
"That smells so good!" Shizuka said, cutting peppers and onions.
"Your cooking skills are amazing, Shin!" Doraemon said. "Where did you learn to cook like this?"
"My grandfather taught me some things. And I practiced a lot," Shin said. That was partly true. His grandfather in this life had taught him some basics, but most of his skills came from his previous life.
After the sauce was ready, Shin rolled out the dough into four pizza bases. With Shizuka's help, he assembled the pizzas.
The first pizza was covered with lots of mozzarella cheese - a classic cheese pizza.
The second had pepperoni slices arranged in a circle.
The third had pieces of cooked chicken and vegetables.
The fourth had only vegetable toppings for anyone who preferred it.
"They look beautiful!" Shizuka said.
Shin carefully placed all four pizzas in the oven. "They'll be ready in about fifteen minutes."
While the pizzas cooked, Doraemon and Shin set up chairs around the table. Shizuka arranged plates and napkins.
"Oh! We need drinks too!" Shin said. He reached into the Obtaining Bag again. "Do you want cola with pizza?"
"That sounds awesome!" Doraemon said.
"Perfect!" Shizuka agreed.
Shin pulled out several cans of Coca-Cola and placed them on the table. Everything was ready.
The timer on the oven beeped. The pizzas were done!
Shin carefully took them out. The cheese was bubbling and golden. The smell was incredible.
"Wow!" Doraemon said, his eyes wide.
"They look amazing!" Shizuka said, looking at the pizzas with stars in her eyes.
Shin looked at the pizzas proudly. One cheese pizza, one pepperoni, one chicken, and one vegetable. Everything looked perfect and appetizing.
"Time to wake up the sleepyheads," Shin said with a smile.
He walked to the edge of the submarine and shouted, "Gian! Nobita! Lunch is ready!"
Down on the water, Gian stirred. He heard the word "lunch" and his eyes opened slowly.
"Lunch?" Gian said groggily, sitting up on his floater.
"Yeah! Come up!" Shin called.
"Hey, wake up Nobita too!" Shin added.
Gian looked over at Nobita, who was still sleeping peacefully on his floater. Gian paddled over and gave Nobita a light smack on the head.
"Ow! What? Who? Where?" Nobita woke up suddenly, panicking. He almost slipped off his floater into the water.
"Whoa!" Gian grabbed Nobita's arm and steadied him. "Careful, Nobita!"
"Gian? What's happening?" Nobita asked, looking confused.
"Lunch is ready! Let's go!" Gian said.
Both of them climbed up the submarine ladder. When they reached the top and saw the setup, their jaws dropped.
Four beautiful pizzas were arranged on the table. Plates were set out. Cans of cola were waiting. It looked like something from a restaurant.
"Whoa!" Nobita's eyes went wide.
"This looks awesome!" Gian said, starting to drool a little.
"Shin made all of this," Shizuka said proudly.
"Shin, you're awesome!" Nobita said, looking at the pizzas with amazement.
"Yeah! I didn't know you could cook like this!" Gian added.
Shin smiled. "Come on, everyone. Let's eat before it gets cold!"
They all sat down around the table. The pizzas were in the middle, and everyone had a plate. Shin cut the pizzas into slices.
"Itadakimasu!" they all said together.
Nobita grabbed a slice of cheese pizza. The cheese stretched as he lifted it, making a long string from the pizza to his slice.
"Look! The cheese is stretching so much!" Nobita said excitedly.
"That means it's good quality cheese!" Doraemon said, taking a bite of pepperoni pizza. His eyes went wide. "Mmm! This is delicious!"
Shizuka took a bite of the vegetable pizza. "Wow! The flavors are amazing!"
Gian grabbed a big slice of chicken pizza and took a huge bite. "So good!" he said with his mouth full.
Shin opened a can of cola. Pop! The sound was satisfying. He took a sip and smiled. Everyone else opened their colas too.
Pop! Pop! Pop!
"Pizza and cola are the perfect combination!" Nobita said happily.
They ate and ate. The pizzas disappeared quickly. Everyone was hungry after playing in the water all morning.
"Can I have another slice?" Gian asked.
"Me too!" Nobita said.
"Take as much as you want!" Shin said. "I made plenty!"
Gian took another big bite and let out a loud burp. "Excuse me! But that was good!"
Everyone laughed.
"The cheese is so stretchy and delicious!" Nobita said, playing with the cheese on his pizza, watching it stretch longer and longer before taking a bite.
"Stop playing with your food, Nobita!" Shizuka said, but she was smiling.
"But it's fun!" Nobita protested, still stretching the cheese.
Doraemon finished his second slice. "Shin, this pizza is better than anything I've had in restaurants! You're really talented!"
"Thanks, Doraemon. I'm glad you like it," Shin said.
The afternoon sun shone down on them as they ate. The ocean was calm and beautiful around them. Five friends sitting together on a red submarine in the middle of the ocean, eating homemade pizza and drinking cola.
"This is the best day ever," Nobita said, taking another bite of pizza with a big smile on his face.
"I agree," Shizuka said softly. "I'll remember this forever."
"Me too!" Gian said, raising his cola can. "To Shin and his amazing submarine and cooking!"
"To Shin!" everyone cheered, raising their colas.
Shin felt warm inside. In his previous life, he had never experienced moments like this. Now, as a ten-year-old in the world of Doraemon, surrounded by good friends, eating pizza on a submarine he built himself in the middle of the ocean - life was good.
"To friendship," Shin said, raising his own can.
They clinked their cola cans together and drank. The sound of laughter and happy voices carried across the water as they enjoyed their afternoon meal together.
