Chapter 24 - A Mind Stage Cultivator's Visa Problem

"Ugh, I really can't get used to this," Kaan said, stumbling out of the rapidly collapsing vortex of dimensional travel and immediately moving to take a shower. "Ahh, nothing beats a hot shower."

Following the hot shower, he decided to take a much-needed nap, which lasted a full eight hours.

"Goddammit, I slept too much, I have a load of work to do," Kaan muttered, shaking off the exhaustion. He opened an Excel spreadsheet on his brand-new laptop and quickly sorted out his priorities.

"First and foremost," he typed, "I have to install Qi Accumulators in my garden to test out the effects. Secondly, I have to organize the photos of the techniques and other books that I plundered from Xingluo. Thirdly, I need to cultivate. Probably, I am the strongest man alive right now, but better be safe than sorry."

Kaan got to work immediately. He took out the Jade Stone, Jade Ink, and the special chisel that his Master gave him as a gift. He carved the Jade Stone like a fine artisan with years of experience, meticulously filling the carvings with Jade Ink. As soon as he finished the circuit connection on the final stone,

DING!

You have successfully created Qi Accumulation Formation in this dimension for the first time.

Reward: Breakthrough to the Mind Stage

"Now? Oh boy, I need to be prepared. This is gonna hurt!" He thought, mentally bracing himself for the immense pain.

Kaan was in the middle of the Foundation Stage, because of that, he felt minimal pain in his body, but to the contrary of that, he felt immense emotion as his mind was breaking and restructuring itself again and again and again. He felt those memories from his orphanage over and over, his friends leaving him because of adopting.

After an immense session of mind-tempering, Kaan got his mental together, he endured the surging emotions and tried to control them. After a while, he heard the familiar pop! sound.

"Wow! Is this how geniuses see the world?" Kaan thought, what he saw was amazing, every color of his garden was so vibrant, he was able to see even a little ant trying his best to carry his nearly dead comrade.

The other advantage of the mind power is he could feel everything around him without even looking. He experimented with his mind power and tried different things such as picking up the chair, flipping a book page, getting the water from the faucet with his mind and drinking it and it worked.

"I really have telekinesis right now, ha. I really feel like an over-powered mc right now." He turned back to look at the qi accumulator, and it worked, with his newly found mind power he could feel the qi accumulating in his garden.

"Now let's observe, what are the benefits and harms of qi for living beings other than humans."

He observed, some of the plants accepted the qi, and started to grow immensely, so much that Kaan hat to cut its roots in order to stop the growing. Other plants that rejected qi started to produce a layer of protection.

"Holy shit, I think I accidentally found an anti-qi liquid." After a week of observing, Kaan took the notes.

"So, some plants accept it and grow, others reject it to protect, it doesn't seem like qi effects the animals."Kaan thought.

After a week of observing, a quest popped out of nowhere.

Quest : Install 20 Qi Accumulators around the Şile Province

Reward : Clown Of The Mind (Mind Stage) Technique

"???" Kaan surprised while looking at the quest. "Clown of the Mind? It sounds like a psychological technique. Let's see, yes, there is a map where I am supposed to install the accumulators."

The map shown was the map of the Şile province, with red dots indicating where he should place the accumulators. As soon as the sky went darker, Kaan got to work. "I can conceal myself with the mind power, but I really need to learn a movement technique. I am so slow, I can't conceal the entire car." He thought while promising himself to learn a movement technique.

He went around and planted 10 of the 20 required accumulators. He came back to home in the morning because his mental energy were drained, he was a little paranoid because he saw Elon in the forums, so he decided to take a cautious approach.

After a good day's sleep, he went around and installed the remaining accumulators.

Ding!

Quest completed.

A book appeared from thin air, Kaan took the book, his first instinct was to take the photo of the book, but as soon as he tried,

Warning! This book cannot be photographed.

"Goddamn system, there is always a catch." He sighed but read the entire book. "Wow, this is much stronger than I expected." He was referring to the Mind Stage, because his learning speed was a thousand times faster than before.

"I wish I had this while in Uni, it would make thing so much easier, especially in the fluid physics lesson." Kaan thought with a bitter smile in his face. He absorbed the book like a sponge and realized technique is so much stronger than he thought of.

After experimenting with the technique, he realized it's basically a psychological torture technique that reminds the target the worst day of his life over and over.

"Did I learn genjustu? No way, I really feel over-powered right now." After sorting out his thoughts, he scrambled through his photograph archive to find a movement technique. He found one named Infinite Void Leap.

It was a Mind Stage technique that required a lot of mind power and qi to perform. Kaan started to read the technique, more he read, more he realized what he picked.

"I can't believe I actually picked a pseudo-teleportation technique." Kaan thought, what he picked required a mind power, ability to turn your qi to fire, water and air. With all of these combined, he could bend the space between the points to massively reduce his commute.

After 3 months of training, whooosh!

A gate opened in front of him that transported him to one of the qi accumulators he setted up earlier. He immediately went back because he nearly exhausted all of his mind power, but he was happy.

"Yes! Now I have power to travel, now, let's get to work." He said as he opened the ring's forum to contact Elon.

He discovered that you can message other travelers.

On the other side of the world.

"WHAT THE F*CK! THERE IS ANOTHER PERSON LIKE ME?" Elon said, while jumping his chair. They texted each other for a while, and Elon stated he should come to the USA for cooperation.

"Let's see who this is?"

After 2 weeks, in Kaan's home, Kaan was looking to his mail, disappointed.

"I can bend the space to travel farther, but you deny my visa? Goddamn consulate! I have to get an invitation." Kaan stated.
