Chapter 15 - CHAPTER 15---Yagami VS groksh and Shinkuro’s astonishment and hope at Yagami’s power.

Yagami entered Gruksh's chamber.

The goblin king leaped up with his two-meter cleaver and bellowed:

"How dare you interrupt my meal, human?! I, Gruksh, king of the goblins, the mightiest monster—"

Yagami didn't let him finish. With an icy voice:

"Fire Element… Hellfire!"

In an instant, dark flames engulfed the goblin. His screams of agony filled the chamber. Moments later, the fire died out, leaving Gruksh charred and lifeless on the ground.

It seemed Hellfire was far stronger than ordinary fire magic.

Yagami turned to leave, but the sound of Gruksh rising again made him pause.

Without surprise, Yagami said:

"I expected the goblin king to be this resilient."

As Gruksh struggled to his feet, his wounds were regenerating at an unnatural speed.

Yagami remarked coolly:

"Self-healing magic… quite useful."

Gruksh's eyes fixed on Yagami's sheathed swords.

"You're not even drawing your blades?! Are you mocking me?!"

With a deafening roar, he swung the massive cleaver down toward Yagami's waist.

Yagami simply leaped into the air and stepped back a few paces.

Yagami:

"Activate Appraisal Eye… Weakness Analysis."

Gruksh charged again.

Yagami spoke instantly:

"Earth Magic… Mid-tier Earth Spear!"

A spear of stone formed and shot forward with deadly precision, piercing straight through Gruksh's heart.

The goblin king collapsed with a choked roar.

Yagami, gaze cold:

"Took longer than it should have…"

Earth magic is pretty good too. If I'd used high-tier, nothing would be left of this goblin!

Yagami walked forward heavily, lifted Gruksh's lifeless hand, and removed a green-stone ring from his finger.

Muttering as he examined it:

"Ring of Healing Magic…"

Activating Item Appraisal skill… Hmm.

Whoever wears this heals wounds at an unnatural rate. Even severed limbs can regenerate. Basically a revival artifact.

A short silence passed between him and the charred corpse.

Yagami gave a half-smile:

"Where'd you get this, you stupid monster… Nothing else useful? That all you had?"

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and said:

"Two more Thousand-To lords left…"

He walked out calmly, spinning the ring on his finger.

City Center – Black Clover Guild Headquarters

Shinkuro surveyed the area gravely:

"From what we've investigated… this really was a battle between high-level monsters. Now tell me—how many survivors do we have in total? From which ranks?"

One member stepped forward and reported:

"Sir, in total: 9 S-ranks, 4 of them unconscious. 100 A-ranks: 20 mages, 50 swordsmen, 30 archers.

Also 124 C-ranks from various classes and 20 E-ranks available."

Shinkuro exhaled heavily:

"With these numbers, we can't even reach Floor 70. We have to find the one who fought the Top Floor King's servants…"

After a pause, he asked more seriously:

"What was that man's name?"

An agent replied:

"The One-Eyed God, sir…"

Shinkuro, startled:

"The One-Eyed God?! Bring one of the battle witnesses here immediately…"

A subordinate:

"Here, sir. This is someone who saw the fight up close and even appraised that man's level."

Shinkuro:

"What's your name?"

"I… I'm Ayame, sir."

Shinkuro:

"Alright, Ayame. Tell me—how strong is this One-Eyed God?"

Ayame silently unwrapped the bandage over his eye. The empty socket was horrific.

Shinkuro, shocked:

"What happened to you?!"

Ayame:

"I… tried to appraise his level just once… and lost my eye for it."

Shinkuro, eyes wide:

"Did you manage to see his level?"

Ayame, voice trembling:

"For only a moment… it was SSS++."

Shinkuro asked what he looked like.

Ayame: Tall, disheveled white hair, blue eyes, dressed head to toe in black.

Shinkuro immediately turned to Daigon:

"You heard that, Daigon. Distribute these details to everyone—search every point, every floor… inch by inch!"

Daigon: "Yes, sir!"

Cold sweat beaded on Shinkuro's forehead; his breath caught.

Shinkuro whispered to himself:

"How… how did he reach such a level…?"
