Chapter 29 - Game Time Is Over

How could… this be?

Staring at the massive whirlpool churning across the sea—larger than the Jade Chamber itself—Keqing felt her breath seize.

Even from a distance, the sight was overwhelming.

The colossal vortex devoured everything nearby; even huge ships were being dragged helplessly into its center, vanishing without a trace.

One of Osial's heads had already been pulled under.

The remaining heads struggled madly, as if something beneath the sea was gripping the Demon God and dragging it down.

Its low, guttural rumble sounded like a mix of pain and rage.

Is it going to be… swallowed whole?

BOOM BOOM BOOM—!!

"Everyone! Retreat at once! Forget the Guizhong Ballistas—move first!"

"Yes, Yuheng Xing!" xN

Seeing Osial lashing out frantically in all directions, Keqing made the call instantly.

Even at this distance, they couldn't risk being caught in the rampage.

But what troubled her even more was why—

why such a massive vortex had suddenly appeared beneath Osial.

If one of Osial's heads wasn't already being sucked in, she might've assumed it was simply another of the Demon God's tricks.

But this clearly wasn't its doing.

That white-haired girl…?!

But how was she doing this?

And… what exactly was she trying to achieve?

Keqing turned her gaze skyward toward the hovering figure, her mind caught between awe and fear.

"Judging from the nature of the phenomenon, I suspect it's linked to the same spatial manipulation she displayed earlier.

But how she's achieving such precise control… that is the real question."

Madam Ping's voice carried deep puzzlement.

Even Adepti could craft pocket dimensions.

But to wield space itself as a weapon—

that was beyond what Adepti could accomplish.

Creating space was one thing.

Manipulating space in real time during combat—that was another realm entirely.

"To think someone could reach such heights… even I am humbled."

Moon Carver murmured.

Their understanding of this white-haired girl deepened—and darkened.

Ningguang had just begun to speak when her voice died in her throat.

A massive boulder—no, a meteor—hung above the Jade Chamber.

A familiar dread washed over her.

Meteor…

No.

Her memories snapped into place—

the battle at Lingju Pass.

The sky filled with falling stars, each one capable of wiping out entire regions.

Her Jade Chamber had been torn apart by a single meteor fragment.

If that scene repeated here—

Liyue would not survive it.

Her fingers curled tightly.

They stood utterly powerless in the face of such strength.

And worse—any rash movement might provoke the very being who once crushed Rex Lapis.

She could only pray the situation wouldn't become another catastrophe.

"When did that… get there?"

Ganyu stared up, bow taut.

She had been so focused on the girl and the vortex that she never even noticed the enormous rock forming overhead.

"Don't want to go down?

Hmph—allow me to help."

With a flick of her finger, Su Mo sent the floating meteor plummeting toward Osial.

BOOM—!!

The impact shook the entire coastline.

A towering wall of water burst skyward, slamming even against the Jade Chamber itself.

Massive waves rolled toward shore in a roaring tide—

but Ningguang remained steady.

The citizens had already been evacuated.

Collateral damage could be managed.

But what she feared most was…

Please. No more meteors… Liyue cannot endure another barrage.

"You're lucky…"

Watching the sea gradually return to calm, Su Mo knew she hadn't killed Osial outright.

It had merely been forced back into its seal.

That was fine.

She had something else to deal with.

Slowly, she turned toward the Jade Chamber.

"Be careful."

Cloud Retainer warned, tensing.

The moment she turned, everyone braced for battle.

They knew full well—

if she had truly finished with Osial,

then they were next.

But none of them retreated.

If Liyue had any line of defense left…

they were it.

"Alright.

Game time is over.

You two little insects hiding in the shadows—

it's time we addressed the real matter."

Su Mo smiled faintly.

Her target…

was not them.

Two insects?

Ningguang blinked.

Who?

She scanned the sky, the sea, the air—nothing.

Unless…

She's referring to Rita… and the mysterious young master behind her?

Ningguang swallowed.

Whatever the truth was—

Liyue was now caught in a storm far beyond the mortal realm.
