Chapter 1 - The Heir.

Knock Knock. "Sir are you ready."

Connor looks himself over once more, making sure to look his absolute best for this day. Usually he wasn't one for suits, but today was special. All of the 7 royal families would be here, at the capital of the west province, and Connor would get to see his friends again. Which he hasn't been able to see for a few years now.

"Yea I'll be right out."

He shouted, before walking over to the great marble door. He gently pulled the door open to see his butler ready to go.

"Sir, you're looking quite dashing today."

"What, I don't look good every day?"

Connor chuckles at himself, stepping out into the hallway. He nods to him, letting him know he's ready to go. They begin to walk together to the ball room.

"Thanks by the way, but say have you seen my father at all?"

The butler thinks to himself for a minute. "I'm sorry but I can't say I have."

"That's weird, my father is usually up and ready to go."

They walk down the hallway, passing various rooms and expensive paintings. Walking with the butler like this always reminded him of when he was a kid. Connor would run down these halls, trying to explore every room he could. Which at the time was almost impossible for the amount of rooms there where.

Connor looks outside the windows, seeing a crowd of people that goes on and on, seemingly never ending.

"Can't say I'm used to seeing this many people here. Hasn't been this lively in ages." The butler nods in understanding.

They make it to the ball room, the butler opens the door for him. Inside it's already almost full, with music and people dancing. He walks inside, looking around at all the people. He can see a few of them point and talk about him. Which being the heir of the eclipse family, he's gotten used to it. He greets multiple poeple, most ask him if he's ready for the big day or is he could show off a little of his power. Which again, he's gotten used to people asking.

Connor is talking to people when all the sudden he sees her, in a sparkling blue dress. She's sitting at a private table with bodyguards. The dead glare in her eyes, just when they where kids.

'Azul.'

He says to himself, as walks over to her. The bodyguards see him approaching and they step out the way letting him pass.

Azul Everlast, the daughter of the mighty alexander of the Everlast family. She looks over at him, her cold green eyes immediately lighting up.

"Connor!" She says, getting up and hugging him. "It's feels like it's been forever."

He chuckles, hugging her back. "I know, it's been too long. Have you seen Zane anywhere?"

They sit down together. "No, I haven't seen him yet, but he should be here soon." She says still looking like the happiest person on the planet.

They sit and talk to each other, catching up on all these missing years. All the sudden Connor feels some one hit the back of his head. He turns around to see Zane standing there, his white hair contrasting with his olived colored skin.

"Missed me?"

Zane asked with that smug look on his face, Connor gets up and hugs him.

"Of course I did, it's been forever."

Zane hugs him back, then he walks over to azul and hugs her too. Zane, Azul, and Connor all sit together.

They continue to talk about everything, all that's been missed over the years. That's when a certain song plays. Azul's face lights up and she remembers this was her's and Connor's favorite song. She stands up, looking at Connor.

"Connor, do you care to dance?"

Connor recognizes the song and smiles. "Not at all. He stands up and looks over at Zane. "You mind if we leave you her for a sec?"

Zane hurry's them away. "I'm fine, y'all go have fun."

Connor takes her hand, and he leads her to the dancing floor. Both Azul and Connor get in the middle of the ball room, many couples are dancing as well. There's almost not enough room anymore. Connor and Azul begin to dance. Connors golden eyes catch the light just perfectly enough to reflect the red sparkles in them.

"I've missed this." Azul says abruptly. Connor responds back, "me too, a shame it's taken this long."for the next few minutes they dance, others watch as the take the spotlight. They don't notice everyone else though, they're caught up in the moment. The song ends and they have a good laugh. They walk back over to Zane

Connor checks his pocket watch "I still haven't seen my father, I'll be right back I'm gonna go look for him." They both nod understanding why he needs to go. "Just be back soon." Zane says, "I'll try to." Conner walks off searching the ball room for his father, but nothing. He goes to his father's chambers, he goes to knock on the door, but the door is slightly open.

"Father?" Connor calls out, he gently pushes the door open. He steps inside, walking in while looking around for his father. He turns the corner. His face goes pale and he can feel his stomach turn in knots. His father is laying in a pull of blood, with Connor's dagger in his chest. He runs over getting to his father's side.

"Father!" Connor shakes his dad, laying his head on his chest to see if his heart is beating. "No no no, this can be happening!" Connor's eyes welled up with tears. "Father, you have to wake up, please you have to." He hears a gasp behind him; he turns around to see one of the servants horrified. She looks at Connor than the dagger, her face grows even paler. She runs out into the hallway yelling out.

"THE KING IS DEAD, HE'S BEEN MURDERED!!"

At that moment guards rush in, seeing Conner and then the dagger. Their faces grow furious; they point their spears at him. "Get on the ground know!!!" Connor looks mortified. "I-it wasn't me I swear, I'd never do this!!" The guards don't budge; they continue to move closer. "I said get on the ground now!" Just then, in the blink of an eye, flames shoot up, engulfing the room in fire. The guards fall backwards. "He's using his ability!"

Just then, at that moment, he finally realizes what's happening. He's getting framed.
