Chapter 52 - 52

Chapter 52 Father and Mother

"You're back already?"

In the Hokage's office, the Third Hokage put down the documents in his hand, took a deep puff from his pipe, closed his eyes to ponder for a moment, then opened them again, slowly exhaling smoke.

Frankly, the Third Hokage was very surprised. He hadn't expected a seemingly ordinary Uchiha brat to display such dazzling talent.

If he didn't have such confidence in Konoha's mission assessment and intelligence system, and if he didn't trust the person who submitted this report so implicitly, he would have thought the intelligence was fake.

Kakashi Hatake was undoubtedly a genius who constantly delivered surprises, but now, compared to this Uchiha brat, he seemed much more ordinary.

The most important thing was that this boy awakened his Sharingan as a Three-Tomoe Sharingan. Such a situation was not only unheard of within the Uchiha Clan, but even he, who had witnessed Konoha's development almost from its inception, had never heard of it.

As for how far this boy would ultimately go, the Third Hokage didn't know. He had other things to worry about, and that was the boy Kakashi.

The Uchiha Clan members were truly insane. Besides Uchiha启 awakening his Sharingan, another boy had also awakened his, and that was Kakashi's teammate, Uchiha Obito.

That boy died shortly after awakening his Sharingan, which, for the Third Hokage, was an unspeakable 'good thing'.

Although such dangerous thoughts shouldn't arise during wartime, as every Ninja was an important force protecting Konoha, there were still some underlying complexities.

But if you died, you died. Why did you have to give your eye to Kakashi?

As a gift for Kakashi becoming a Jonin?

Then, does that mean the Uchiha Clan can give one to every Konoha Ninja who becomes a Jonin?

Minato Namikaze, Jiraiya's disciple, actually condoned this matter, which also gave the Third Hokage a headache. Although he also thought it was a good solution, those Uchiha guys might not let it go easily.

These troublesome matters combined truly irritated the Third Hokage. Otherwise, he wouldn't have quickly dispatched Jiraiya to the Iwa Ninja battlefield in the Land of Grass. This disciple, who was once like an idiot, had now grown to a sufficient level.

"I hope those Uchiha people don't cause any trouble now," the Third Hokage said, biting his pipe and pulling down his conical hat. "However, the war is almost over now. Jiraiya and Minato Namikaze should have no problem handling negotiations with the Iwa Ninja, but Orochimaru..."

The Third Hokage, whose mood was already only mediocre, immediately felt even more annoyed when he thought of his other disciple. Even the news of victory from the Land of Grass battlefield left him somewhat uninterested.

Orochimaru had not been very peaceful lately, especially with certain matters constantly coming to light, putting pressure on the Third Hokage. It seemed his disciple had truly changed.

He had changed so much that even the Third Hokage couldn't understand him, and the Third Hokage himself needed to be cautious. This had to be considered a tragedy.

"Is it Danzo? Or something else? I hope no more trouble arises soon."

Just as the Third Hokage was at his most troubled, Uchiha启 had already returned to the Uchiha Clan. Along the way, Uchiha Jun kept talking to Uchiha启, and Uchiha启 tried his best to chat with them.

After all, Uchiha启 knew his position, and to be honest, Uchiha启 truly needed the resources of the Uchiha Clan. Although he looked down on the people around him, he still patiently said quite a lot.

When they returned to the Uchiha Clan's territory, the few people who had greeted them also bid farewell. It was clear they needed to go back and report the situation.

"Are they trying to test my attitude?" Uchiha启 shook his head, not bothering to pay attention to these guys after they left.

The questions they asked were quite meaningless, but through these questions, Uchiha启 had pretty much guessed their intentions, which were nothing more than hinting at some internal family matters and promising some corresponding benefits.

Uchiha启 merely nodded calmly, indicating that he understood, but he showed no intention of taking a stance, because this was inevitable.

Uchiha启 needed to display some of his 'resentment' and 'arrogance' to put them at ease. As for whose subordinate he ultimately joined, it didn't matter.

After all, he had just returned from the battlefield and completed such a dangerous mission. It wouldn't do to show no 'resentment'.

Moreover, reaching the Three-Tomoe Sharingan at such a young age, it would be very abnormal if he didn't have some arrogance.

Uchiha启 disliked hypocritical communication, but without having decided how to proceed in the future, Uchiha启 could only act this way.

The clan was another battlefield, and it was no safer than being on the actual battlefield. How many people who achieved great military exploits on countless battlefields ultimately fell in internal clan or national strife?

Walking alone on the familiar path, Uchiha启 returned to his home according to his memory.

Uchiha启's home was neither big nor small; it was a house for three people. Pushing open the door, Uchiha启 happened to see his parents in this life.

Uchiha启, upon arriving in this world, did not gloriously become one of those 'parents sacrificed, power boundless' members. However, his relationship with his parents in this life was very distant, and he couldn't cultivate appropriate emotions.

"Qi-kun, you're back?" Uchiha启's mother, Uchiha Ryoko, smiled and immediately stood up when she saw him enter.

"Ah, I'm back," Uchiha启 nodded, his gaze sweeping over the excited woman and the man sitting in the living room, whose expression was calm but whose eyes couldn't hide his excitement.

Uchiha启's father was named Uchiha Keisuke. He was once a Chunin, but he was injured during the Second Shinobi World War, which almost ended his Ninja career.

Therefore, the current Uchiha Keisuke, in a strict sense, was no longer a Ninja. He mostly relied on clan resources and connections to do some business to support the household.

He was a relatively family-oriented person but spoke very little and was very silent, probably due to the imbalance in his heart after his Ninja career was cut short.

However, he was still good to Uchiha启. Uchiha启's foundation was built by him. Although limited by his Chunin strength and perspective, Uchiha启 was still very grateful to him.

At least many of his experiences greatly benefited Uchiha启, and they were also the basis for Uchiha启's survival when he first went to the battlefield.

Uchiha启's mother, on the other hand, was a civilian staff member in the Konoha Military Police Force, with a strength level of about a Genin. Every day, she recorded trivial matters, belonging to the type of marginal person with no upward mobility.

"Still so aloof, your temper is really not good." Uchiha Ryoko had long been accustomed to Uchiha启's cold personality. She said carelessly, "I heard you were injured? Are you okay? Do you want to go to the hospital to get checked?"

"I'm fine, I just need a good rest," Uchiha启 shook his head.

Pity the hearts of parents worldwide. Perhaps they were the only two in the Uchiha Clan who cared about his physical condition rather than his Sharingan.

However, Uchiha启 found it very difficult to adapt to their identities, from birth until now
