In the quiet stillness of the night, inside one of the most talented Outer Hall Elder's residence, there lay a beast sitting cross legged on the cold floor in her bedroom, meditating and cultivating in stillness.
This was all that Victor could do right now: cultivate and cultivate!
The Yang Qi in his body was rapidly increasing and he attempted to hit the core of his body repeatedly, trying to reach the Sixth-stage of Body Refining Realm, nearing closer with every breath, this also led to the condensation of the Yang Qi in his body and it was much more efficient than just brute forcing your way by reaching the limit of the body and condensing it right after.
Suddenly his ears twitched, hearing the sound of rustling footsteps outside.
He slowly opened his eyes, revealing his emerald-pupils.
Who could it be?
Victor thought in his heart, the footsteps were extremely nimble but also tentative, pausing several times, not like the firmness contained in Yu Jiao's and there were multiple of them, more than four at the very least.
He turned towards the broken bed and went underneath it, hiding in the shadows and patiently waiting, his gaze on the entrance before him. The door opened with a creaking sound and the rustling noise of the wind blew through the place, like someone was trying to whistle besides his ears.
At first glance nobody seemed to have entered the room but Victor could barely see the outlines of five figures who perfectly blended in the darkness. Having reached the Fifth-stage of Body Refining Realm, it was not only an increase in strength but also his five senses have been significantly enhanced now.
"Is she really gone?"
"Do you think we would be alive right now, if she wasn't?"
Quiet voices murmured through the darkness while Victor lay beneath the broken bed in hiding.
'What are they here for?'
It was clear that this group of women were here with a purpose and they knew that Yu Jiao had left the place before. This only made him more alert, they had negative intentions!
For now all he could do was remain still and alert. Luckily, they didn't seem to have a clue about his presence, otherwise they should have reacted already.
After half an hour had passed, they walked out of the darkness, revealing their figures under the yellow glow of the lanterns.
The five were covered in a dark cloak from head to toe, not even displaying a single inch of skin but their curves made it apparent that all of them were women.
Victor rubbed his eyes, it was very difficult to perceive them even after they had come into the light, if not for his sharp sense not betraying him, he might have felt like they were ghosts or something.
"Let's keep it here, shall we?" The one who clearly seemed to be the leader spoke in a cold tone, her head tilted down, observing the floor.
"Yes," The Four beside her immediately nodded their heads.
"Hmm," She knelt on the floor and rubbed against the rough texture of the floor and quickly dismantled one of its tiles and dug through the ground with her bare arms, soon forming a small compartment in the ground.
Then taking out a stack of paper she directly kept it in place.
Nodding her head, she put back the tile again while the soil was kept in a small pouch.
"Let's leave."
The five nodded their heads and blended back into the shadows again.
Victor was left there, alone and completely dumbfounded, was he seeing an espionage happening right in front of him?
'Anyway, they should have left, right?'
Just as that mere thought appeared in his mind, suddenly he heard a rustle behind, his heart skipped a beat and he hurriedly escaped out of the bed without a second thought. The next moment, the already broken bed was completely sliced apart.
Revealing the leader of the five, holding a sword in her hand.
Victor went down on the ground without even thinking, the cold wind whistled as the sword sliced through the air, if he hadn't dodged, his neck would have definitely been cleanly sliced apart.
"How did you know?" He frowned, rolling away till he hit the wall and quickly standing up through the support of it.
But the woman before him had no intention to answer him, she moved like a fleeting shadow and slashed at him mercilessly.
"..." Victor felt challenged, he clenched his five fingers and punched at the sword mercilessly.
The fist met the sword and a deafening sound rang out, surprisingly, his fist couldn't be cut by her sword at all.
Then they both were pushed back. However, he wasn't given even a moment of respite as four swords slashed at him at the same time.
Victor frowned, now that he knew that their sword could do little to no damage to him, he was more calmer. Raising his hand, he caught the two swords in one hand and another two swords in his other hand.
The four cloaked figures were left stunned in the place, trying to take back the sword but it refused to budge even the slightest.
"Good now that you have come towards me, I don't have to seek to capture you to score points for Yu Jiao."
He tightened his fist and the swords immediately cracked. The four tried to back away but Victor was simply faster, quickly catching up to them with his veiny, thick arms curling around the four's neck, two in each of his arms, almost like he was giving them a hug.
The four struggled, their limbs failing around but they were left utterly helpless, Victor was simply stronger. The leader of the woman slashed her sword right to his back but he just stood there motionlessly taking the blow.
Finally the four women stopped moving, their limbs going still. Victor let go and they fell to the ground with cold thuds.
"Now the last one."
