Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Makes Sense, Right?

Once Xiao Wu had completely calmed down, she noticed what Ye Qiu was carrying on his back. Seeing him still staring blankly at her, she felt a strange sweetness in her heart.

"Ye Qiu, where did you go? What's that on your back? Hmm?"

Seeing Ye Qiu still lost in thought, Xiao Wu realized she had been presumptuous. She pried the hand off her head, huffing and puffing.

"Hey! What are you thinking about?!"

"Huh? Nothing." Ye Qiu, snapping out of his daze, scratched his head. "What did you ask me just now?"

"Ye Qiu! Do you even care about Xiao Wu?" Xiao Wu glared at him, her mood turning sour.

"Why would I care about you?" Ye Qiu rolled his eyes, no longer dwelling on what she had said, and turned to put the item on the table.

"You humph!" Xiao Wu gritted her teeth, not knowing what to say, and let out a soft snort.

"Come and see what I prepared for you."

"Something I prepared for me?" The rabbit, curious, perked up its ears and hopped over to Ye Qiu with a puzzled look. "Is something fun to do again?"

"Why are you always thinking about playing?" Ye Qiu covered his head, somewhat helplessly.

Xiao Wu ignored Ye Qiu's complaints, her eyes fixed on the clothes in his hand.

A gleam flashed in her eyes, "Is this for me?"

"Yes," Ye Qiu glanced at her, "Don't you even know whose clothes you're wearing? No one should laugh at you anymore! Hehe."

Recalling the scene of Xiao Wu being laughed at by other kids for wearing his clothes before, Ye Qiu couldn't help but chuckle.

"Hurry up and go inside to change so I can see!"

He urged her to try it on quickly, so that it could be altered if it didn't fit.

However, it turned out that Ye Qiu was overthinking it.

"Ye Qiu, how is it? Does it look good?" Xiao Wu, wearing her new clothes, kept twirling in front of Ye Qiu.

"Not bad, it fits quite well!"

"Hey! I'm asking if it looks good on you?"

"Well, you should come and look at this blanket first."

"Ye Qiu!" Xiao Wu called out these two words one by one, clenching her fists, imagining punching Ye Qiu in the face, unable to understand why this guy always made her angry!

However, considering the new clothes, Xiao Wu decided to forgive him this time.

Ye Qiu, who had already unfolded the new quilt, turned around and found her already close to him. "Why did you buy a quilt?" She

then looked miserable and pressed herself against Ye Qiu's face, "Aren't we going to sleep together from now on?"

"..." The handsome boy was speechless. As expected of the rogue rabbit, what kind of lewd words were those?

However, Ye Qiu still patiently explained, "Men and women shouldn't touch each other. From now on, we'll have single beds at school."

  "Oh~ I see!"

Hearing her slightly disappointed tone, Ye Qiu couldn't help but worry about his future safety.

If Tang San still fell in love with this rabbit and knew about sleeping together, wouldn't he be in a deadly predicament?

"By the way, there's a little rabbit embroidered on the quilt."

Thump! Before he could finish speaking, Ye Qiu was hugged tightly and knocked down by a petite figure.

Apart from his mother, no one had ever been so kind to him before, and he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed.

"I saw it, thank you, Ye Qiu."

A gentle voice reached his ears, and her breath brushed against his cheek, stirring Ye Qiu's nerves.

He couldn't help but sigh; no wonder Tang San, a man with two lifetimes, was captivated by a rabbit. It was truly irresistible.

So cute, anyone would be mesmerized.

After a long while, she still hadn't let go.

"Let me go now. I can't breathe!"

"No way! Who told you to always annoy me? I'll crush you!"

She pressed down on Ye Qiu, wriggling as if trying to crush him, her little face flushed red, whether from excessive force or embarrassment, it was hard to tell.

'This is really torture!' he thought to himself, Ye Qiu's face also turning red, he really couldn't breathe!

"You little rascal! Don't go too far!"

Ye Qiu declared, "Death is better than humiliation! "

"Oh dear! You dare call me a little rascal? Today, Sister Xiao Wu will definitely beat you up!"

...Another farce ended under the gaze of Ye Qiu's Sharingan.

Of course, it would have been even better if his left eye socket hadn't turned purple.

"Ye Qiu, are you alright? Are you alright?" Xiao Wu waved her paw repeatedly in front of Ye Qiu.

"I'm not going to die!" she replied irritably.

"I didn't do it on purpose. Fine, I'll let you hit me back, how about that?" She squatted down in front of Ye Qiu, pointing to her eye.

"No need, just consider it an apology to Xiaobai!"

  ...

"Hey, what exactly did you forget to pack? I told you to prepare it yesterday, all you do is play!"

Ye Qiu's impatient voice came from the stone house early the next morning.

His eyes had gone down, but there was a tooth mark on his cheek. He didn't know what this silly rabbit had done yesterday.

She insisted on sharing a blanket with him, and not only that, she bit him in the middle of the night. Ye Qiu felt that she was retaliating, but he had no evidence.

"It's all better now! Why are you being so fierce? I just bit you!" Xiao Wu smiled and stuck out her tongue at Ye Qiu, making him even more certain that the rabbit had done it on purpose.

"Why are you blindfolded?" Xiao Wu looked at him curiously.

At this moment, Ye Qiu's eyes were wrapped with a black silk bandage. His eyes were not visible from the outside, and they did not interfere with his vision from the inside.

"My martial soul is my eyes. Of course, such a vulnerable place needs to be protected. It's reasonable, right?" He spread his hands and explained.

The protection was indeed there; the tomoe within her Sharingan were still quite noticeable. If someone with ulterior motives knew about her martial soul's changes, trouble was inevitable.

Besides, that unorthodox ability could be somewhat contained.

Xiao Wu looked at the wooden toys in front of her—bows, slingshots, etc.—"It's a pity I can't take these toys with me."

"If you want them, I'll make them for you later, as long as there's wood." Ye Qiu pursed his lips, adding in his mind, 'I'm just afraid you won't appreciate my craftsmanship after seeing Tang San's crossbow!'

"Then it's settled! Let's go." Hearing this, Xiao Wu smiled, took Ye Qiu's hand, and stepped through the wooden door outside.

Clutching her pink pouch, only she knew that there was something new inside: a bamboo dragonfly, the first toy Ye Qiu had made for her.

"Wait for me a moment." He said to Xiao Wu, went to the peach tree, lit some incense, and knelt down, kowtowing three times.

"Grandpa, Xiao Qiu is going now."

Just as he was about to get up, he noticed Xiao Wu had also knelt down.

"What are you doing?" Ye Qiu looked at her, puzzled. Was the rabbit head not working properly?

"Can't I kneel before my mother?" Xiao Wu stammered, looking rather guilty.

She muttered something, quickly kowtowed a few times, then immediately got up and ran away.

"How bizarre!" This whole commotion left Ye Qiu completely baffled.
