The trio sat and waited, watching how the red dot seemingly looks like it's getting closer, but at an unnervingly slow pace. The times reached its 24 hour mark.
Krillin: We can't wait forever, Earth's future is hanging in the balance, *Krillin voiced as he stretched his stiff neck.*
Goku: *Goku's fists clenched, frustration and urgency warring within him.* You're right. We can't just sit here and hope. *He turned to Piccolo.* Can you feel him? I mean, really feel his energy?
Piccolo: Barely, but he's much closer. Concentrate on the dot and you'll feel it too, *Piccolo engaged.*
Goku closed his eyes, reaching out with every ounce of his ki-sensing ability. At first—nothing. Just the hum of the volcano and the whisper of wind. But then... A flicker. Deep in space—small, but growing stronger. A familiar presence, blazing like a supernova wrapped in pride and fury.
Goku: There! *Goku's eyes snapped open.* He's coming—and he's pissed. I fear if that comet hits this planet nothing will remain. *Goku said seriously.* Maybe I can teleport to him, snatch him, return get you guys and get off of this planet before it goes kaboomie.
Piccolo: *The Namekian nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation.* That might be our best option.
Krillin: *Krillin grimaced, rubbing the back of his neck.* But teleporting to him in space? That's a big risk, Goku.
Goku: Even only a slight energy reading is enough to take me straight to him.
Krillin: *Krillin raised an eyebrow.* Are you sure? Space can play tricks on your senses, you know. What if you end up somewhere else entirely?
Goku: Either we take the chance or we go kaboomie along with this planet, buddy. And then there'll be two less planets in our universe. You wanna take the change? *Goku's question came unexpectedly.*
Krillin: *Krillin swallowed hard, contemplating the choices before them.* I hate it when you make sense...
Goku place two fingers between his eyes, and teleport himself to Vegeta's locked in destination, only to reappear in a cluster of vast darkness. With only after images to accompany our hero. The vastness of space enveloped Goku, a sea of cold, starless black. He scanned the void, straining to make out anything in the abyssal shadows.
Goku: Vegeta? *he called out, voice sounding strangely loud amid the overwhelming silence.*
No answer. Out of frustration and desperation, Goku teleports himself back towards the volcanic planet where Piccolo and Krillin stood waiting.
