My eyes were glued to him. I have no idea who he is, but his broad, solid shoulders definitely caught my attention.
And… oh, gods, his abs—he had heavy abs, not some slender, elegant type, but thick, defined, and powerful. No offense, Damar.
My mouth went dry, and I couldn't stop myself from quietly drooling.
Beside him seemed to be his younger brother since they looked alike but he was on her smaller and softer side. Probably innocent and naive. He reminded me of the men from our village. Hardly worth my attention. But, he was pretty cute. Could pass on as a K-pop idol and make it in life.
But I'm not here for just the face. It's the body. The BODY!
There was one more person who was capable of catching my attention.
Behind them, there was someone else.
But I was still drooling over Fenric to realize this, feeling no one could be more attractive than he was. I was memorizing the way his shoulders moved, the way the sunlight hit his pale skin, and the faint rise and fall of his chest.
Heavenly, if I do say so myself.
The handsome chief, who was clearly their father, cleared his throat as he spread his arms in front of my father, with a welcoming smile.
"Rakan," he said, voice deep and smooth. "It is good to see you again. I bring greetings from the Crysthorn tribe."
These were snow tigers that live deep inside the snow mountains, I presume. Their white and black fur on their tail and hair, and their pale skin made it clear that they weren't used to the harsh weather we were living in down here.
But it didn't seem like they had any trouble under the harsh sun either.
Beastmen are tough
Rakan bowed slightly, like a nod, and then spread his arms.
"And I, in turn, welcome you, Kasa. Your journey was safe, I trust?"
So, the head of the snow tiger tribe was Kasa. He didn't look as rough as my father, and even seemed more delicate with long white hair, but he was by no means less imposing, having what appeared to be a tattoo of a claw mark running across his shoulders towards his chest.
Do they have tattoos at this time?
Maybe it was just markings they do for their chief over there?
I forced my gaze to the ground after finally tearing my gaze from Fenric but my mind was still on him.
Why?
Yes, I like handsome guys and pretty much stan for them, especially the actors and idols, but never in my life have I been so close to one.
And the reason why this guy is getting me on my heels so much isn't just his face. It's those abs... That sinful gorgeous upper body of his.
But, as if I was invincible, he didn't even look my way, and that lack of notice… ugh, it only made him more appealing.
Finally, Kasa began to introduce his children.
"These are my sons; Fenric, my eldest, and Rhask, my younger. And my daughter, Solin."
At that exact moment, I finally saw the figure that had been moving behind the brothers, as if being protected.
Solin.
Now that's a familiar name.
As my eyes fell on her, I had only one word… stunning. Absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful.
Even by 21st-century standards, I would have had to stop and stare. Her snow tiger markings on her hair gleamed perfectly under the sunlight, and her movements were graceful, not Veyra fake type of graceful but actually graceful.
It was the kind of beauty that made people hold their breath without realizing why.
What was such a beautiful thing doing here?
Of course, she came with her father and brothers but I doubt that was all.
"Ah, your brave sons definitely live up to your tribes reputation." My father suddenly said. "And I heard your first son became a beast warrior. It is such an honor."
Hearing that, our tribe folks began to murmur in excitement and of course, my ears perked up too.
What's a beast warrior?
I don't remember adding such a thing in my novel.
"My son, Kaelor, aspires to be just like that. I hope your son can help him become a great warrior."
I glanced at Kaelor.
He doesn't look weak. In fact, I'd say he's identical to my father but... I clicked my tongue... The face doesn't fit.
He's not handsome and doesn't stand out, but maybe he's strong, so I won't demean his efforts to become a beast warrior, since it might bring honor to our tribe.
'Beast warrior seems like a big deal. It must be great. I'll ask someone about it later. I should just find a way to sneak out.'
I thought no one would pay attention to me at this point and I could sneak out, but my father began our own family introduction.
"These are my children." He said. " I have three sons and two daughters. You are already acquainted with the first son, Kaelor." Kaelor nodded. "This is Ashren and Zevak." He introduced the boys first, which was quite normal. "And these two are my daughters."
We were standing at each side of our father so I thought he would introduce Veyra first, since even if he was changing and coming to understand me, Veyra was still his favourite, the one who holds a special place in his heart.
I didn't want to be disappointed if that happened, but to my surprise, he introduced me first.
"This is my first daughter, Arinya."
I was stunned, but not only me, even Veyra, who had been making eyes at Fenric, almost glared at me and showed her true colors.
With this introduction, everyone finally looked at me and I didn't seem like an invisible wall any longer.
"She has a personality but she's a wonderful female."
Ah, for my father to say such a thing about me... I felt touched in my heart. He was growing.
I looked up and met Fenric's gaze.
He... He was looking at me.
Of course, everyone else was looking at me but... His gaze, in particular, was the only thing I cared about.
But just as he looked, he turned his face away and we broke eye contact.
Drat, it was a fleeting moment but it was real.
But this proves he has no interest in me. Ugh, I didn't have my hopes up, but I at least wanted to feel those abs.
Maybe I'll take a fall later.
"This is my second daughter, Veyra. Delicate and lovely."
Veyra used that opportunity to flutter her lashes and soften her pout.
Eugh, give me a break.
Anyways, Fenric was looking at her now. He had a brush on his cheek and I frowned. So, he's into the delicate type.
Guess all men here are the same, no matter how they appear. They just want a woman who can control and be above. Someone like me with a personality would never seem submissive.
Everyone's attention has finally shifted from me so I felt I could sneak out now.
But just as I was about to leave, Kaelor grabbed my arm.
Hm? That's new.
Why was he holding me? Wouldn't he like it if I left?
