Neil ignored all the violent noises from behind or how the guardian kept tearing the bodies of all the beasts and Phaged.
All the creatures killed by the guardians, broke into tiny sparkling dots before disappearing.
Continuing with the same momentum, Neil actually managed to get into the domain, finding himself at the entrance of the corridor.
There were four doors, two on either side.
'Now where is the core?' Focusing on the doors, he decided to try opening all of them.
"Only two or three of the rooms should be accessible unless it is owned by a lord, that is if we go by the normal logic." Nemo's voice sounded, as helpful as ever.
If only all women were like that.
Crouching just inside the entrance door, Neil began to cover the floor with different fluids and fill it up with traps he had prepared in advance.
Although they wouldn't hurt the guardian, they might slow it down even a little.
Then he pushed the first door on the left and it actually opened.
Neil did his best to not create any sound as he pushed it open very slowly.
But upon glancing inside, he found that it was nothing more than a bedroom with a few neatly organized items.
Then he moved towards the second room which was on the right, but found it locked.
The third room was locked as well.
'Only one left.' He finally reached the end of the corridor and slowly pushed open the final door.
Both left side doors were open, while the right side ones were closed.
Neil slowly made his way inside.
Inside was a wooden table on which a round spherical core of the size of a human head rested peacefully, surrounded by an almost invisible bubble.
"There it is! Grab it master... wait, it seems to be protected by some barrier. We need to break it first."
Nemo's excitement suddenly shattered as she noticed the flimsy protection around it.
Getting up to his feet, Neil approached the table and touched the barrier.
Unlike its appearance, it seemed pretty durable.
'Damnit, why can't anything ever be simple when it comes to me?'
Knowing that it wouldn't be easy to break it, and any sound would attract the guardian, Neil quickly thought of a way.
'Nemo, inform me when the guardian is done outside.'
After giving the command, he put both his hands over the bubble and began pouring the strongest acid he could create currently.
ZRRRRR...
Faint sound filled the room; the acid was certainly effective but not strong enough to break it in a short time.
Neil's heart was thumping wildly.
It felt as if time was passing too quickly but the bubble was persevering as if its life depended on it.
Almost thirty minutes had passed when Nemo's warning came:
"The guardian will soon be back master, the effect of that blood potion has already ended."
'Tsk. Why am I always stuck with the most unexpected problems?'
He pushed himself to the limit, despite the exhaustion.
THUD
A few seconds later, the first trap that he had set up outside exploded, marking her return just as Nemo warned him again.
"Fuck." Neil hurriedly took out the axe from the storage and began to strike the bubble with all his might.
The guardian rushed back towards the core room, finally noticing his presence.
BANG BANG BANG
The veins in his arms bulged, the footsteps getting louder at an alarming rate.
The traps he set up only managed to delay the guardian by mere moments.
When a challenger enters a domain, the guardians won't use their full strength, leaving the only main challenge to be the creatures lurking outside.
If not for the guardian holding back, Neil would already be dead and most challenger would end up dying.
BANG BANG
Finally, the armoured figure entered the core room.
The cold metal arm of the guardian stretched towards his neck, planning to kill him with a single attack, as Neil hit the bubble with every bit of his strength.
CRACK
Finally, the blade of the axe managed to crack the bubble a little, but it was nowhere near enough to put his arm inside, yet Neil had no more time.
Gritting his teeth, he pushed his arm through the small opening even as the sharp corners left deep and long cuts on his arm.
His heartbeat sped up, thumping like war drums.
Just as the guardian's fingers curled around his neck, Neil touched the surface of the core with one of his blood-soaked fingers.
Instantly several messages popped in front of Neil, and the guardian froze, pulling its arm back, leaving behind a mark on his skin.
"Huff huff... I did it."
Pulling his arm out, he stumbled back, panting heavily, as the adrenaline rush finally ended.
Neil pulled out bandages and began to treat his wounds, while reading the several messages that popped before him.
[You have obtained a Mythic Class Domain!]
[You have successfully become a Lord.]
Neil instantly sensed the changes in his body, his energy reserves increased further.
[Please select a title for yourself.]
After thinking for a few moments, he gave a suitable title.
[Please select a title for your Domain.]
He decided to choose a matching title, muttering amidst his deep breaths.
Finally he opened his status panel…

』
Sitting against the wall, Neil read the updated status panel and finally got to know that his territory class was Mythic.
"Gene points…" If he remembered correctly, then these are obtained by killing creatures of certain classes.
There weren't many big changes other than that.
The status panel would keep getting updated as he obtains more resources in the future.
Then he decided to check the status panel of his domain.
『

』
Neil focused on the window floating before his eyes, then he let out a long sigh.
The higher the class of a territory, the more difficult it is to upgrade it.
Though his strength would be a lot higher, he would also need a lot more resources.
"Nemo, what are shards? This is the first time I am hearing about them."
Taking some medicines and drinking water, Neil finally felt the pain in his arm lessen.
"I don't know either, maybe it is related to your domain talent.
Well, nothing has been normal here since the beginning.
Normally domains don't get three talents, even two is an extreme rarity; not to mention a hundred subjects right off the bat."
Nemo's melodic voice sounded surprised.
Normally silver gets 20 subjects, gold gets 30 and diamond gets 50.
Although one can have as many people in their domain as they wish, only that number can be bound as subjects.
And people mostly possess armies of the same race, except the slaves they buy or catch from other races.
