"Alright let's go. Nemo, continue the search." Neil rushed forward, testing his maximum speed which was quite satisfactory.
Running over four hundred metres, he finally saw a small group of beasts, just as the little cub had informed.
Although he had only taken one diamond class gene point so far, but his strength was certainly above the silver class.
The three were called spiked boar, their abilities evident from the name itself.
The height of two was a bit less than one meter while the bronze was nearly half a meter tall.
Since their bodies were covered by the spikes so it was rather difficult to cut their skin, leaving only a few vulnerable spots available.
"Magnar, take care of the two, I will take one silver to test my limits first. And don't destroy their bodies completely."
After instructing, he jumped down from the tree, making a loud enough sound for the three boars to notice.
Grrrrrrr…
The three growled and stopped their search for a prey, focussing on the two figures who did not seem threatening.
Softly jumping off Neil's shoulder, Magnar landed beside him as the size of the familiar's body increased to around a meter high.
The vigilance in the beasts' eyes was evident, as the air became hotter, but Magnar fled instead of attacking.
The three beasts quickly decided as the two on the right ran behind Magnar while one stayed to kill Neil.
"I need to get better weapons as soon as possible." Neil muttered, holding the axe in his right hand while the knife in his left.
He took the fighting posture, ready for his first proper battle.
KRRRIIIIEEEEEEEEE!
Screeching loudly, the boar charged towards Neil, ready to shoot spikes towards him at any moment.
Neil too started running forward.
With his armor on, he didn't really have to worry about getting injured by those spikes.
The armor was of Mythic class, there was no way a silver class beast could do anything.
The beast was brute and too dumb to make any strategies, and just planned to smash its body into Neil.
Or puncture him with spikes.
WHOOSH
Just as the two got closer, Neil threw the knife towards the eye of the boar, while dragging the blade of the axe against the ground.
Spiked boar instinctively closed its eyes but continued to charge, giving its opponent the chance to strike.
Upon getting in range, Neil swung the axe upwards in a semi circle with all his strength, as the blade plunged into the boar's head from below.
SPLASH
Continuing with the momentum, Neil held the axe's handle with both hands just as the boar's heavy body rose off the ground.
Then, letting out a battle cry, he swung the boar's body in a parabola, ripping its head in two.
BANG
The boar flew a couple of meters before smashing into a tree, its body going limp just after a few moments.
From not far away, he heard the sound of the other two boars, before everything became silent.
[You have killed a 1st Origin Silver Class Spiked Boar.]
[Would you like to collect the loot?]
"Yes." Neil wasted no time, as he picked up the knife and cleaned his axe, before putting them away.
As the corpse disintegrated, only two items were left on the ground.
First was a greenish fluid inside a glass tube, and the other a golden orb.
[You have acquired one 1st Origin Silver Class Gene Point!]
[You have acquired 100 Shards.]
Neil consumed the gene point and sensed slight changes in his body, though nowhere as dramatic as with the diamond gene point.
His energy core limit has already surpassed what it was initially at 99%, but he wondered how he could increase his 11% synergy.
Putting the thoughts aside, Neil walked to the other side, where the two half burnt corpses lay beside the cute Magnar.
The deadly familiar had already reduced to its small size and appeared sleepy and hungry.
"Good job Magnar."
He said while picking up the familiar, then Neil wondered if the familiars eat meat or gene points, so he asked Nemo about it.
"They could survive by both, but of course, gene points is the best for them." She replied.
So without wasting any time, he drew loot from the two corpses.
[You have acquired one 1st Origin Silver Class Gene Point!]
[You have acquired 100 Shards.]
[You have acquired one 1st Origin Bronze Class Gene Point!]
[You have acquired 30 Shards.]
"Here, this is for you." Neil gave one of the silver gene point to Magnar and consumed the bronze himself.
They were going to face a lot of creatures, so Neil doubted he would have to worry about lacking gene points soon.
And so, the hunt continued.
…
Neil's hunt continued for several hours continuously, there wasn't much to do in the domain so he stayed out for more than a dozen hours.
In the end, they killed 35 Bronze, 11 Silver And 1 Gold class creatures, aside from the three initial ones, which were 2 Silver and 1 Bronze.
He personally killed most of the bronze and silver beasts and Phaged, but let Magnar handle the gold class beast.
Firstly, he did not have any good weapon, secondly, there was no point in wasting time now.
He will definitely get enough time to fight more in the future.
Diamond gave him 800 Shards, gold gave 300, silver gave 100 and bronze giving 30, making his current total to be:
[Shards: 3480]
『
(Bronze): 20 / 1000
(Silver): 6 / 500
(Gold): 1 / 100
』
Neil headed back, the sky remained same even after so many hours had passed.
To increase the amount of loot, he decided to use the blood solution he had used previously, the next day.
"If the guardian can't leave the territory and with the barrier present, the creatures can't enter, then only Magnar and I will have to fight."
Neil spoke to himself, but with his familiar he didn't really need to worry much.
Now he just wanted to have a long sleep, more than half of the first day had passed.
He didn't encounter any creatures on his way back, and soon he arrived close to his domain.
Right from outside, he noticed the two new buildings.
On the right was a rather small wooden hut, which was just 1 meter in length and width.
On the left was a kitchen, it too was made of wood currently, the same blackish wood as the core building.
The kitchen was made in a round shape, had a counter and several windows but it too was only a little over two meters in radius.
"Greetings lord, how did your hunt go?"
Seeing Neil, Bob rushed towards him, the builder seemed as if he hadn't slept and was waiting for him.
"It was good, so you are done already." Neil questioned, unsatisfaction and doubt visible in his eyes.
The space was indeed limited within his territory but the kitchen was nothing like his expectations.
Noticing the frown on Neil's face, Bob hurriedly spoke:
"Lord, please go inside and check it out for yourself."
Nodding, Neil entered the kitchen, wondering if the kitchen really was worth 800 Shards.
That is all he got for killing that Magma Bima, getting tortured for weeks.
But right after he stepped in, Neil was quite shocked to see the large space.
Hundreds of neatly arranged wooden tables and chairs, divided into partitions, some small some too big.
There was almost everything that needed in a kitchen, from spoons, to spices and even two human chefs.
After looking at the large kitchen, Neil's gaze focused on the pair of man and woman who looked rather alike.
