Chapter 86 - Chapter 86 Taking Anakin Away

Just as the three little ones were still at home, the hyperion had finished its hyperspace journey and arrived in the Mandalorian System.

Councilman Kote and the others, aboard the Naboo Royal Starship, docked at Starport Two, where droids proceeded to replace the hyperspace drive; the remaining time was spent waiting at the starport.

At this time, Qui-Gon sensed a response from The Force, a feeling second only to his first encounter with Councilman Kote. Was this also a child of the force!?

"Councilman Kote, have you sensed any other Force-users or sensitives on Vadir?" Qui-Gon asked Councilman Kote, who was beside him.

"Are you referring to Anakin?" Councilman Kote pointed to Anakin, who had come to find Padmé, though this was all part of Councilman Kote's plan.

"This child was born from my Force; he has no father," Councilman Kote explained about Anakin.

"Have you trained him?" Qui-Gon asked.

"No, just simple guidance. So I wanted to ask Great Master Qui-Gon to train him, just as you trained me," Councilman Kote said.

"I agree," Obi-Wan interjected immediately. This time, he fully agreed, as they had missed Councilman Kote before.

"Let him join the Jedi Order. Take him to Coruscant," Qui-Gon asked Councilman Kote's opinion.

"I absolutely agree, so I beg you, Great Master Qui-Gon, you are one of the few Great Masters in the entire Jedi Order who is not pedantic," Councilman Kote said to Qui-Gon.

Qui-Gon nodded, and Councilman Kote waved Anakin over.

"Are you willing to come with me to Coruscant and join the Jedi Order?" Qui-Gon asked Anakin for his opinion.

Anakin nodded vigorously, "Very willing! Councilman Kote told me that the Jedi Order exists to protect the Galaxy."

"I am Qui-Gon Jinn. Welcome, Anakin," Qui-Gon patted Anakin.

Obi-Wan smiled. This child, like Councilman Kote at the time, had a righteous heart and wanted to join the Jedi Order, but he wondered if the Great Masters would allow Anakin to join this time.

"I am Obi-Wan Kenobi. Hello," Obi-Wan said with a smile.

"I am Anakin Skywalker. Hello," Anakin greeted politely.

Councilman Kote smiled inwardly. The plan was complete. Now Anakin would enter the Jedi Order. Why was he so sure? Councilman Kote was an example; losing another child with such strong talent would be a loss for the Jedi Order.

Next was the plan to save Qui-Gon, Councilman Kote thought to himself.

With the starship's repairs complete, everyone embarked on the journey to Coruscant. Although the Queen's identity was exposed, for now, the Queen's role was still played by Sabé, with Padmé acting as a handmaiden.

On the ship, Councilman Kote and Jar Jar were playing a virtual chess game, while Obi-Wan watched and offered pointers to Councilman Kote.

"Shh, don't speak while watching the game," Councilman Kote told him to be quiet. Soon, Councilman Kote defeated Jar Jar and invited Obi-Wan to play a round with him.

The two then played chess for the entire journey, while Great Master Qui-Gon conducted some tests on Anakin to see how much Councilman Kote had taught him.

Exiting hyperspace, the starship arrived at Coruscant. Entering it, it was as bustling as before, and on the platform below, Senator Palpatine and Chancellor Valorum awaited everyone.

Stepping off the starship, the Senate Guard on both sides welcomed everyone.

"I'm relieved to see Your Majesty safe and sound. Communications were cut off, and we were all very worried," Palpatine said to the Queen, introducing Chancellor Valorum beside him.

"Our allies helped us," the Queen said, pointing to Councilman Kote beside her.

"It was necessary," Councilman Kote nodded.

"I'm glad that Mandalore still stands behind us at this time. Thank you, Councilman Kote," Palpatine said gratefully.

"We have already commenced a special meeting regarding this matter. Let's go to the Senate Building first," Chancellor Valorum said.

Everyone then proceeded to the Senate Building to seek a resolution, as they still hoped the Republic could resolve the matter through diplomatic means. However, this was all Sidious's conspiracy, and to gain more benefits for himself, Councilman Kote also had to follow this script.

Inside Palpatine's office, everyone discussed solutions.

"The Republic is no longer what it once was. The Senate is full of greedy senators who care nothing for the interests of the people," Palpatine stated the current state of the Senate, indicating that it would be difficult for the Senate to prevent the Trade Federation's invasion.

"But Chancellor Valorum believes there is still hope," the Queen interjected.

"No, Your Highness, the Senate is not a one-man show for the Chancellor. In fact, the Chancellor himself is currently embroiled in scandal," Councilman Kote clarified the current state of the Chancellor and the Senate.

"Councilman Kote is right; this is the current state of the Senate and the Chancellor," Palpatine said, looking at Councilman Kote, who was speaking on his behalf.

"Then how should we resolve this?"

"We need a new Chancellor, a Chancellor who is sensible and acts for the people of the Republic," Councilman Kote stated.

Palpatine was completely stunned, not expecting Councilman Kote to think the same way and say everything he had in mind.

"Yes, at that time, a vote of no confidence can be cast against Chancellor Valorum," Palpatine continued.

"But he has always been a strong supporter of ours," the Queen still hesitated.

Palpatine suggested another option, taking it to court, but that would take even more time.

"Let's go to the Senate and see what the final outcome is," the Queen thought, with two fleets currently confronting each other outside Naboo, she still wanted to resolve the matter peacefully.

Meanwhile, at the Jedi Temple, Qui-Gon reported on the mission and introduced Anakin's situation. Everyone who heard about it felt it was unreliable, as it was impossible for two children of The Force to appear simultaneously.

"No, Qui-Gon, it's impossible for two children of The Force to appear in this world," Great Master Yoda said.

"But Great Master, he is just like Councilman Kote when I first met him, with the same feeling. We missed Councilman Kote; must we also miss Anakin?" Qui-Gon was puzzled as to why this situation was happening again.

Hearing about Councilman Kote, the Great Masters began to ponder. Finally, Great Master Windu spoke, "Alright, bring the child. We'll see if he can join the Jedi Order."

Anakin then walked in, and everyone could already sense The Force within him, which had clearly been taught.

"Have you been trained by Councilman Kote?" Windu asked.

"Yes, Councilman Kote gave me some simple training, but he said he was self-taught and could only teach me some basic methods of use," Anakin said, repeating what Councilman Kote had taught him earlier.

Windu nodded. It was indeed Councilman Kote's doing. If a self-taught individual was not handed over to the Jedi Order for training, it would only ruin the child.

Great Master Yoda then began testing Anakin, finding him to be exceptionally outstanding, even better than Jedi children trained at the same age.

"Hmm, your future, like Councilman Kote's, is uncertain, but we need to discuss it further," Yoda said, deciding on Anakin's future.

After Anakin left, the other Great Masters discussed Anakin's relationship with Councilman Kote.

"Could this child have been sent by Councilman Kote?" Great Master Windu asked, somewhat suspiciously.

"No, I didn't sense that in his emotions; he even seemed excited," Great Master Yoda offered his insight. "Furthermore, Councilman Kote is also our friend; he is also a user of the Light Side of The Force, just like us."

"So, should we take this child in?" Windu said.

"Hmm, I still need to think about it and see what the future holds," Yoda ultimately wanted to use meditation to foresee the future and decide whether to accept Anakin.
