The filming location was actually a bit visible from Eugene and Arthur's suite bedroom. It was on a lake with a forest on one side and the town on the other. Lodgings of various sizes were lining up around the lake and the edge of the forest, as well as the slightly elevated hill by the west side.
Each lodging had its own style, since its owner was different. The town owned some of the simplest ones, however, made in a wooden cabin style.
"It wasn't my intention to make their reunian place to have the same vibe," Eugene hummed when he saw the lodging they chose as a filming location--and Elijah's temporary living space.
It was a wooden cabin with a porch--which was important for the whole scene. In the story, Illian was asked to take care of the place by the owner, who was one of his parents' old friends. Naturally, he thought foreigners wouldn't have anything to do with his relatives back home. He never thought Jude would track him through this.
