Despite Eugene's concern, however, Hannah was accepting it rather gracefully.
"Okay, but...we'll still have a birthday party after Daddy comes home, right?" the girl asked seriously.
"Of course," Eugene nodded. "I'm sure he wants to. We'll have it with everyone over at Grandma's house, okay?"
"Alright, then."
Seeing his daughter acting so calm and mature, Eugene felt a bit lost for a second. He felt like he was going to lose the clingy Hannah, but at the same time, feeling so proud. Why did she have to act so mature all of a sudden?
"We'll buy a bigger cake later, yeah?" Eugene stroked the girl's auburn hair.
