After the chaotic early birthday celebration, where Hannah found out her papa could sometimes act like an unruly child, Eugene headed to the conference room with Arthur. Thankfully, the twins fell asleep in time, so their daddy could sneak out for a bit.
"Are you going to bring them later if they are still asleep?" Eugene asked as they walked through the corridor connecting the hotel to the building used for meeting rooms and conference halls.
"Naturally," Arthur grunted. "I want to watch your event, but if I left them, your dad would have to stay—and your dad wants to watch you too, so..."
He would return to the suite after making sure everything was fine with the venue and Eugene's needs, and when the event would truly start, Eugene would send him a text, and he would come with everyone, including the children.
"They might get startled and stay cranky all day..."
"That's why I bought those protective earmuffs." Arthur flashed a grin and raised his thumb.
