Chapter 11 - 11

A young man lay quietly on the floor, breathing in a slow, rhythmic pattern. A faint, sage-like aura radiated from his body, soft but unmistakably profound.

This young man was Li Mu.

Ever since the incident with Lady Lin, he had been cautious—almost obsessively so—while meditating. And after a full week, the results were undeniable.

His senses had sharpened. His awareness had deepened. He could now perceive everything within a hundred-meter radius, a feat no normal mortal could achieve.

Some instinct whispered that this change… this evolution… was tied to his "Infinite Insights."

But for now, it remained a theory without proof.

"The aircraft is almost there," he muttered as he rose to his feet. "I'm prepared."

He dusted off his clothes, walked to the door, and knocked.

Swish.

A mechanical voice responded at once."Yes, guest. How may I assist you?"

"I need spare parts."

"Requesting supervisor authorization… Authorization granted."

A moment later, a small hatch clicked open and dropped a metal box into the room.

Li Mu sighed. "What a hassle."

Since the incident, Lady Lin had locked him down—no leaving the room, constant surveillance from basic monitoring bots. Thankfully, those bots weren't advanced enough to detect the profound fluctuations from his meditation. If they were, Lady Lin would have already torn open his secrets.

He sat cross-legged and opened the box. Metal scraps, loose components, wiring—none valuable, but workable.

He picked up a piece of aluminum plating and smiled.

"What a beauty."

He no longer needed Infinite Insights to understand technology. His mysterious second ability—awakened long ago—seemed to enhance his comprehension naturally.

Piece by piece, his hands moved.

"Connect this… align the frame… one centimeter lower… tighten… lock…"

Screesh.

A medium-sized mechanical spider stood before him. Its black exoskeleton gleamed under the room lights, and blood-red lenses flickered like sleeping eyes.

For the first time since coming to this world, Li Mu felt a surge of genuine pride.

"I'll call you… Otherworld."A quiet, trembling breath escaped him. "Yes. That will be your name."

He stared at the unmoving machine. His vision blurred—the metallic frame melting into a memory of Earth.

There, he had been nothing.A joke.A useless toy mocked by those around him.

He had dreamed of escaping, of becoming the protagonist of his own life, of crushing every obstacle in his path.

Now that he could…He would never allow anyone to chain him again.

The memory of Lady Lin's cold voice replayed in his mind.

"Power you gain belongs to me.""A bumpkin will always be a bumpkin."

A shadow crossed his eyes.

"You think you can control me? Then be prepared to die."

Days passed.Nights blurred together.Meditation and planning filled every hour.

At last, morning light spilled into the room. Li Mu opened his eyes, feeling a sharp clarity settle over his mind. He walked to the window—

And froze.

A colossal megastructure hovered above the clouds, shimmering like an immortal holy land. Rivers of molten gold ran through its streets. White mist swirled around its base, making it seem like a kingdom ripped straight from the heavens.

Li Mu's heart tightened.

"I want to see more sights like this in the future…"His voice was barely a whisper, yet it carried a promise—to himself and to his fate.

BAM!

The door slammed open.

Lady Lin strode in, her hips swaying with practiced arrogance, her gaze sweeping the room before settling on Li Mu's stunned expression. A mocking smile curled her lips.

"Follow me. We'll be arriving at Pangnu City shortly. If anyone asks who you are, you're my attendant. Understand?"

She didn't wait for an answer. She simply turned and walked away, dismissing him like a passing breeze.

Li Mu's eyes narrowed.

I hope you don't regret your decision.
