Life on Rathe slowly returned to normal.
The city of Molia, devastated during Cancer's attack, had been completely rebuilt in only two weeks. The unity that swept across the planet was unlike anything seen in generations. Rathians were proud of who they were proud to have survived, proud to stand together.
Rathe, home to ten billion beings, was divided into three great continents:
1. Silverland
A futuristic society intertwined with nature white leaves, silver blossoms, and shimmering forests that sparkled at night.
2. Greenroot
A land rich with life. Futuristic cities grew among lush green trees and fertile ground that almost never dried. Molia belonged here, in the country of Highlands.
3. Great Forest
The most natural continent of all wild, colourful, and untouched. A paradise of flowers, ancient trees, and nature's raw beauty.
Across all three continents, Rathians felt closer than ever before. The invasion had turned a world of nations into one family.
Meanwhile, Jecht threw himself into work. His new laboratory funded by one billion Gems became a hub of innovation. He developed safer energy sources, medical breakthroughs, environmental solutions, and technologies to help rebuild their neighbouring planet, Zuno.
At only ten years old, Jecht had invented the Builder Bots, capable of constructing anything with perfect precision. Over time, he upgraded their efficiency from 25× faster than humans to nearly 100× faster.
With unanimous approval from world leaders, Jecht sent half of Rathe's Builder Bots to aid Zuno's reconstruction.
On Zuno's surface, an enormous two-kilometre glowing blue ring was embedded into the ground an eternal memorial for the genocide that wiped out 99.5% of the planet's population. Only 250 survivors remained out of a billion. Volunteers from Rathe migrated to Zuno to help repopulate it.
We follow Nect on the warm, breezy night before he leaves for Planet Hiarma to compete in the Broken Bones League.
Nect, Jecht, and their mother June stood on the balcony of a luxurious restaurant overlooking the glowing city of Molia.
"My little boys… all grown up now," June said, her eyes shining with pride.
"We had good guidance," Jecht replied warmly.
June's phone buzzed."Oh I need to take care of something. Nect, I'll meet you at the Spaceport to see you off."
"Sure, Mum."
She hugged both her sons and slipped inside the restaurant.
Nect leaned on the balcony railing."Hey Jecht… do you think Mum is… seeing someone?"
Jecht raised an eyebrow."I wouldn't say she's seeing someone. But Nect, she probably misses having a companion. She's only 48. Asking her to stay alone forever would be cruel."
Nect looked down, ashamed."I know… that's not what I want. I just don't want her to forget about Dad."
Jecht placed a reassuring hand on his brother's shoulder.
"She'll never forget Dad."
He changed the subject.
"You know Dad would be going crazy about you joining the BBL."
A rare, genuine laugh escaped Nect.
Jecht continued: "You've grown so much, bro. And with these new powers… you're ready."
Nect sighed."I'll miss you, bro. But you'll only be a month away."
"Until I perfect P2PM Planet-to-Planet Materialization," Jecht added smugly.
Nect grinned."You're close, aren't you?"
"Give me one more year," Jecht said confidently, "and you'll be able to travel anywhere in the galaxy instantly."
Nect nodded."Look after Mum for me, okay? I hate thinking of her living alone in that giant 8-bedroom house."
"She won't be," Jecht replied. "She's going to live with me. I'm adding a residential section to the lab campus it's big enough for twenty homes, away from the experiments."
"But instead of selling our old house, President Martins wants to convert it into a museum in Dad's honour," Jecht added.
Nect's face softened with nostalgia. He remembered childhood. How Jecht took after their mother brilliant, focused, academically unmatched. And how Nect struggled in school, teased for his frustration and anger. Their father recognised the storm brewing in him and became Nect's outlet, training him in boxing, teaching him to channel his rage into strength.
"I think that's a great idea," Nect said finally. "I can't wait to see it when I return."
"Are you sure you don't want me to come to the Spaceport?" Jecht asked.
"Nah, come on bro. You've been with me all day. The world needs you. You've got work to do."
They embraced like brothers tight, emotional, sincere.
"I wish you all the success, little brother," Jecht said. "I'll watch all your matches. I love you, man."
Nect cleared his throat, embarrassed."Yeah… love you too, bro. I'll be back before you know it."
They parted ways.
Nect walked toward the Spaceport.
Jecht walked toward destiny.
TWO YEARS LATER...
Nect flourished in the BBL.His record:
10 wins,
8 by knockout,
0 losses.
He never used the Suka in fights only to heal afterward.
Meanwhile, Jecht became one of the most celebrated scientists in the galaxy. He cured diseases, invented new technologies, and consulted in global affairs. Through countless official meetings, he grew close to Alicia Martins, the president's daughter.
Shortly after Nect left, Jecht and Alicia began dating.Six months later, they married.Soon after, they welcomed their first child:
Alec Martins Hookalot.
June Hookalot moved on with her life as well, meeting a new companion Jason a year after Nect's departure.
Jecht eventually mastered P2PM.He sold the technology to transport companies, becoming the richest man in the Petan Galaxy.
Two years later, Nect returned home, meeting his nephew Alec for the first time.
The family along with Jason visited their old house, now transformed into:
The Hookalot House of History
A beautiful museum dedicated to Flex Hookalot's life, legacy, and victories. Boxing gloves, signed memorabilia, fight footage, trophies, quotes everything preserved.
Jason, ironically, had been a huge Hookalot fan and even appeared in one of the old photos displayed in the museum.
The family spent hours exploring the exhibits, laughing, remembering, and honouring the man who shaped all their lives.
"This is incredible," June whispered, her eyes glowing as she took in the exhibits. Every corner of the museum held memories of her late husband his gloves, his robes, his fight posters, the photos of him smiling with his boys. For the first time in a long time, her smile wasn't mixed with grief. It was pure.It was warm.It was gratitude for the time she had with him.
"It's truly remarkable," Jecht said, holding his baby son in his arms. Alec's tiny fingers reached out toward a hologram of Flex Hookalot landing his famous knockout punch.
"Your father was an incredible man, Jecht," Alicia said softly, resting her hand on his shoulder.
"He was the greatest!" Jason shouted proudly, clearly unable to contain his excitement.
Everyone burst into laughter, the warmth echoing through the halls of the Hookalot House of History.
When the laughter faded, Nect spoke, looking at a giant statue of his father.
"Yeah… Dad's a legend. And this motivates me to become a legend too."
June smiled proudly.
Then she tilted her head with a mischievous grin.
"So, Nect… you're twenty years old now. Do you have a girlfriend back on Hiarma?"
"Mum!" Nect blurted out, face turning bright red. Everyone laughed again.
"If you must know," Nect sighed dramatically, "I'm talking to a few women right now"
Before he could finish, June smacked him on the back of the head with her handbag.
"HEY!" Nect shouted.
"I raised you to be a one-woman man," June scolded. "Don't you dare go around being a player."
"MUM, COME ON!"Nect rubbed his head, embarrassed and reminded that his mother, despite everything, was still unexpectedly strong.
The group burst into laughter once more.
Hand in hand, arm in arm, smiling and teasing each other, the family walked out of the museum stronger than before, closer than ever, and proud of the legacy they were carrying forward.
