A year ago, in the Imperial Palace District,
Li Feng and Sanguinius had just finalized the 'Environmental Transformation Plan'. Li Feng, accompanied by Konrad Curze and Adeptus Mechanicus personnel, was preparing to go to the High Lords Council to negotiate.
According to Konrad Curze, the High Lords didn't actually have much objection, because they heard that this plan could transform Terra into a Garden World. These officials and their 'cats and dogs' underlings were overjoyed.
Of course, this was because they only knew about the "Garden World" and were unaware of the cost of achieving the goal. There's no such thing as a free lunch; no one can get everything without effort... unless, of course, he's Li Feng... No choice, some people in this world are simply born lucky.
The environmental transformation might cause extreme weather, and the recreation of oceans could directly drown all the creatures living on the seabed of what used to be the "Pacific Ocean," "Indian Ocean," "Atlantic Ocean"... and all related infrastructure and industrial facilities would also be 'ruined'.
The biggest problem, however, was that this project lacked a 'project manager'.
Although Li Feng had the panel's blessing, he was ultimately a mortal. Sanguinius wasn't skilled in environmental transformation, and she... was too lazy to go out.
Konrad Curze, on the other hand, was busy working as a clerk in the Imperial Palace and the High Lords Council every day, constantly overwhelmed with paperwork. If this task were given to him... Li Feng was genuinely afraid Konrad Curze would go truly insane.
So Li Feng had no choice but to let Huron handle it. This operations master, under Li Feng's appointment, would undertake the environmental transformation of the Imperial capital, and he certainly wouldn't object.
Li Feng was also concerned that if too much was given to Huron, it might unbalance the entire Imperium. Li Feng thought this as he followed Konrad Curze along the path outside the Imperial Palace, heading towards the High Lords Council.
At this moment, they passed several Imperial Fists warriors. In preparation for the Eye of Terror, the Imperial Fists, who were already not far from Terra, had brought their Phalanx to the Sol System for modifications.
And at this moment, a Centurion, noticeably taller, stood among them. Li Feng and Konrad Curze happened to walk past them... Li Feng's mind was preoccupied with thoughts, so he didn't notice anything... but Konrad Curze, at this moment, sensed something and gradually slowed his pace.
Konrad Curze walked beside Li Feng, his steps gradually slowing, his gaze warily sweeping the surroundings. The figures of that squad of Imperial Fists warriors entered his vision, and the tall figure standing in their center caused a storm in his heart.
It was a Centurion, clad in the Imperial Fists' distinctive yellow power armour, but his physique far surpassed that of an ordinary Astartes Warrior; even among Astartes Centurions, his build was particularly prominent.
The faint battle damage visible on his power armour seemed to tell a history of countless bloody battles, yet, this was not the reason for Konrad Curze's hesitation.
It was that feeling... a very familiar feeling... a feeling etched into his genes... his brother, the Primarch of the Seventh Legion, the Imperial Fists, Rogal Dorn, that legendary figure who had 'kept a hand' and disappeared for ten thousand years.
Konrad Curze's breath hitched involuntarily. He suppressed the shock in his heart and whispered to Li Feng, "Uncle Li... do you feel that person..."
Hearing Konrad Curze's words, Li Feng also stopped thinking and turned to look at 'Young Master Wayne' behind him, a puzzled expression on his face:
"What person?"
Li Feng was pulled back to reality, raised his head, and glanced at the Centurion. He frowned slightly, stopped, and examined him carefully for a moment.
At that instant, the Centurion seemed to notice their gaze and slowly turned his head. His eyes were deep and calm, like an unshakeable mountain.
Konrad Curze's heart rate accelerated. He could feel that unparalleled majesty, that inherent aura belonging to a Primarch, which no human or Space Marine could imitate.
Li Feng narrowed his eyes slightly, a hint of hesitation in his heart. He whispered to Konrad Curze, "You're not trying to say... he's Rogal Dorn, are you?"
Konrad Curze didn't answer, merely staring fixedly at the Centurion. Li Feng had already walked up to the Centurion, blocking his path.
At this moment, the helmeted Centurion lowered his head slightly, looking at the person blocking his way.
Li Feng also asked:
"You are Rogal Dorn, aren't you?"
The Centurion immediately replied in an emotionless voice: "I am a Centurion."
"You are Rogal Dorn."
"No, I am a Centurion."
"You are Rogal Dorn."
"No, I am a Centurion."
"You are a Centurion."
"No, I am Rogal Dorn."
Silence... After this brief exchange, the atmosphere suddenly became eerie.
Li Feng stood rooted to the spot, a playful smile on his lips. He crossed his arms and continued to stare at this clearly problematic "Centurion."
Konrad Curze was covering his face; he now truly believed... it wasn't that these children had problems, but that their father, the Emperor's genes, had problems.
Why are all the children problem children!
And the so-called "Centurion," at this moment, seemed to realize he had let something slip. But he showed no reaction, still looking down at Li Feng.
"Dorn..." Konrad Curze finally couldn't help but speak, a hint of tension and awe in his voice, "You don't need to hide anymore... your self-introduction has already exposed you."
"Stop... don't speak to me... traitor!" Rogal Dorn finally spoke. His voice was still calm, but this time he no longer deliberately concealed his identity.
He let out a soft sigh and slowly removed his helmet. A classic, rugged face was revealed before Li Feng and Konrad Curze, a resolute countenance that countless sculptures and historical records could never fully reproduce.
Rogal Dorn's face at this moment was no longer the youthful exuberance of his early days, but bore the marks of many years.
"It seems I've still been exposed..."
Rogal Dorn looked directly into Li Feng's eyes, his gaze as scorching as the midday sun,
"But I must ask, why are you so certain it is I?"
Li Feng shrugged: "Because... you are Rogal Dorn."
Rogal Dorn's brow twitched slightly. His face remained stern, a hint of imperceptible helplessness in his gaze.
"Merely because I am I?" he said in a low voice, with a touch of incomprehension and dissatisfaction.
Li Feng, however, laughed, his smile relaxed yet with a hint of cunning:
"Of course, it's not just because you are Rogal Dorn, but because... besides you, who else would hide on Terra as a 'Centurion' and still maintain such... low emotional intelligence?"
Konrad Curze sighed helplessly: "Brother, you have always been so... direct."
A faint, almost imperceptible smile appeared on Rogal Dorn's face, an extremely subtle yet hard-to-ignore expression.
He turned to Konrad Curze, his gaze like a heavy Warhammer, carrying an unshakeable pressure.
"traitor... you are still sharp-tongued." Rogal Dorn's voice was cold, as if stating an absolute fact.
Konrad Curze's facial muscles twitched, clearly flustered by the appellation of "traitor."
He retorted with restrained but sharp words: "Brother, I won't ask for your forgiveness..."
"Enough." Rogal Dorn's tone was utterly devoid of fluctuation. He turned back to Li Feng, a hint of wariness in his gaze, "What exactly do you want?"
Li Feng waved his hand, his tone relaxed: "Don't be nervous, I'm just curious, why would a... uh, legendary Primarch like you hide near the Imperial Palace, pretending to be an ordinary Centurion?"
Rogal Dorn's expression darkened slightly. He was silent for a moment before slowly speaking:
"I am not 'pretending'. My duty has never changed. Terra is Father's domain, and no matter what happens, it must remain stable. Even if I am no longer the Primarch who commanded a Legion, I am still Terra's Guardian."
