Armory.
As the Tech-Priest opened the armory door, countless mottled weapons were displayed: laser pistols, bolter pistols, Chainswords, power armour, dueling swords... The weapons in the armory lay silently on the shelves, each carrying the story of a once brave and fearless Imperial Army officer. Some were mottled, some even still bore dried bloodstains; every sword, every gun was like the last testament of the fallen, narrating their final battle.
These were all weapons worn by officers who died during this period. Napoleon was very relieved to see these weapons, as it at least proved that the lost positions had been recaptured by him; otherwise, these weapons would not have been transported to the rear.
"Sir, these are all weapons from fallen officers."
Napoleon surveyed the weapons on the shelves and asked, "Has no one ever thought of engraving their name on their sword?"
"No, sir, we of the Adeptus Mechanicus do not permit such a thing. It is a great disrespect to the machine spirit. Only those in high positions of power are worthy of having words engraved on a weapon."
Hearing the Tech-Priest's words, Napoleon was reassured. He casually picked up a Chainsword from the shelf and walked out... Toulon Star, outside a detached villa.
Napoleon, with the sword, arrived here by car. He adjusted his clothes slightly, went to the door, and pressed the doorbell... Soon, the door opened, revealing a maid who was clearly surprised by the arrival...
"Commander Bonaparte..."
"I'm here to deliver something."
Napoleon entered the house, and at that moment, the Boy Eugène came down from the second floor of the villa. Napoleon grasped the hilt of the sword with his right hand and supported the blade with his left arm, ceremoniously handing the large Chainsword to the Boy.
The Boy took the sword with surprise; its heavy weight made him struggle slightly, but he still held it steadily. He looked up at Napoleon, his tender voice tinged with gratitude: "Thank you, General."
Just then, a soft footsteps came from upstairs. Josephine appeared on the staircase, followed by her daughter. She had clearly not anticipated Napoleon's visit, and there was a hint of surprise in her eyes.
Josephine walked over to her son, gently stroked his hair, and motioned for him to put the sword aside. Then, her gaze fell back on Napoleon, her tone a little softer.
"Colonel, I presume I don't need to introduce myself, do I?"
Napoleon nodded slightly, with a serious but polite smile: "No need. I just want to say that the mistress of this house has done an excellent job of raising her children."
At this point, the two children were led away by the maid, leaving only Napoleon and the young widow Josephine in the hall...
"Colonel, would you do me the honor of dining with me tonight? As... a thank you for helping us."
Josephine's tone was very ambiguous, every word revealing countless charms, especially her gaze, as if she herself would be the one consumed at the dinner table.
"I'm very sorry, Madam Josephine. I am a Soldier, and I still have work to do."
With that, Napoleon had already walked out of the villa, got into the jeep, and headed back to the camp... Prince Li Feng's subordinates, besides being prone to attracting "bad women"... also shared a common characteristic: they were all... "high-quality Sigma males."
Women? Women are merely stumbling blocks on my path! Although he didn't know, even though Li Feng and Cain both acted very Sigma, in reality, both of them were subs.
However, the real reason was that he was preparing to move against the remaining Chaos Forces at Toulon Starport tonight... Night fell, and the lights of Toulon Starport flickered in the distance, but the glow here was no longer the glory of the Imperium, but a sign of the corruption after the Chaos Forces took over.
The remaining Imperial structures within the Starport were corrupted by Chaos, becoming temples and fortifications for their worship of the Dark Gods.
Napoleon stood on the observation deck of the temporary command post, observing the Chaos defenses through an amplifying scope. Behind him were Sergeants of the Imperial Guard and combat support units of the Adeptus Mechanicus, who were busily working on the final battle deployment.
He put down his binoculars and walked among the Soldiers. He decided to retake Toulon Starport in one swift move tonight, before the Chaos Host of Chaos Warmaster Abaddon completely sealed off Toulon Star.
"Soldiers! The Emperor and the Prince trust us! They have entrusted us with the most important task! We are the spearhead of this operation! If we falter, then everything will cease to exist! Now! It is time for us to cleanse the enemy from our land and our stars! Vive l'empire! (Long live the Empire!)"
...Toulon Starport,
As the Chaos Host began to gradually devour the entire Cadia system according to Abaddon's strategy, the Chaos Warmaster's objective was to completely encircle the entire system, leaving Cadia and the surrounding planets utterly isolated and without aid.
Toulon Star is located in the outermost region of the Cadia system, and its strategic position is extremely important. If Toulon Star falls, the gates of the entire Cadia system will be completely shut.
The Imperium naturally knew this, so while the Chaos faction was acting, the Imperium was also constantly mobilizing troops and fleets, harassing and blocking the Chaos Host's advance towards Toulon Star along the way.
During this process, the Chaos Forces heading to Toulon were reduced by over 70%. Even so, the remaining Chaos Host still reached the skies above Toulon Star and quickly occupied Toulon Starport.
The local Cadia garrison and Planetary Defence Force, due to Prince Li Feng and Holy Terra signing various plans this year, had all Imperial supplies transported here, so they naturally all switched to new equipment.
With these mortals and new weapons, a dozen PDF regiments and two Cadia Assault Regiments actually managed to withstand the enemy's attack.
The new "M777 155mm Howitzer," with twice the range of the original Imperial howitzer of the same caliber and weighing only four tons, became the vanguard of battlefield fire support.
The Cadia Assault Regiment, on the other hand, received the "M1A4 'Cadianmus' Main Battle Tank," the same model as the "Imperial Guard Training Army" under Prince Li Feng. Its electromagnetic cannon, advanced fire control, high mobility, and high protection made them love it.
They even placed the Commander's plastic chair on the tank and painted various slogans like "Cadia Stands" on it, becoming... the "M1A4 'Cadianmus' Main Battle Tank 'Clickbait' Edition" (40.7 weight package).
And a series of "Stryker" armored fighting vehicle chassis specially equipped by Prince Li Feng for the Cadia Assault Army, which included, for example: the "M1126'Stryker' Armored Personnel Carrier" and the "M1128'Stryker' 105mm Wheeled Electromagnetic Assault Gun."
