Chapter 143 - Chapter 143: The Birth of a Transformation Device

When Izumi arrived home, Tohsaka Rin was standing at the entrance with a murderous glare.

"Did you bully Sakura?"

"You bastard!"

Izumi blinked, completely confused.

Behind him, Katou Megumi and Koneko both narrowed their eyes, suddenly alert.

"What did I even do?"

"We just played mahjong last night."

"Ask Eriri and Asia if you don't believe me."

Rin rolled her eyes so hard it looked painful.

As if she'd believe that.

If she hadn't seen her younger sister walking funny this morning, she might have believed his nonsense.

But now?

Absolutely not.

"Hmph. I don't care!"

"You're obviously a terrible person!"

"Shameless!"

"Only an idiot would believe what you say!"

Izumi sighed internally.

What was he, five years old?

Why was he being interrogated like some pervert caught behind the school building?

Too lazy to argue, he tossed his bag aside and muttered,

"Relax. Your turn will come soon enough."

Rin froze.

"Hah!?"

But Izumi was already on the sofa, wrestling affectionately with Ophis.

Meanwhile, Megumi stood quietly, lost in thought.

Am I falling behind again?

She was the first one here.

So why did things turn out like this?

Megumi felt a sour weight twist in her chest.

After playing with Ophis for a bit, Izumi turned to Koneko.

"Hey, Koneko-chan. Can you arrange a private beach?"

"I'm going to start training all of you."

"And I'll fulfill my promise to Rias while I'm at it."

Koneko nodded without hesitation.

"I'll tell President. She'll take care of it."

Izumi had promised Rias Gremory that he'd provide special training—but then he got pulled into another world.

Now was the perfect chance to make good on that promise.

With the help of those noble ladies, logistics wouldn't be an issue.

And if the location failed, he could just grab an uninhabited island somewhere.

Maybe even throw some magical beasts at everyone for practice.

Megumi and the others stayed until evening, agreeing to meet at Izumi's house tomorrow.

After they left, Izumi sat down and pulled out a glowing blue crystal—

the Time Stone he had acquired long ago.

He turned it over in his hand and murmured,

"A transformation device made from this should be insane."

"A time-based transformation, huh?"

"The old me couldn't manage it, but now that I've mastered the Second Magic… no problem."

Just as he was about to put the stone away, Ophis leaned in beside him.

She tilted her head, staring curiously at the crystal.

"Time… power?"

Izumi nodded.

"Yeah. I got it by chance."

"I'm planning to turn it into a device that grants control over time."

Ophis accepted this explanation with a small nod.

Then she stretched out one finger…

and lightly tapped the crystal.

A faint, mysterious power seeped into the stone.

"Now the power will not decay."

Izumi's eyes widened.

That simple gesture effectively froze the energy within—a feat that should have been impossible.

He probed it with magic.

Unbelievable.

Just a casual touch, and she stabilized a leaking cosmic artifact?

His anticipation for reaching SSS-class intensified.

He ruffled Ophis's hair.

"Thanks."

Ophis shook her head.

Then, without warning, she formed a power crystal from her own energy and handed it to him.

"For you."

Izumi stared at it.

He didn't need it—but refusing Ophis's gift wasn't an option.

So he accepted it with a grin.

And an idea began to form.

Ophis's power…

plus his own blood…

plus the Time Stone…

Could he forge something terrifying?

His eyes sparkled with excitement.

A device powerful enough to drastically raise someone's combat potential—

no matter who used it.

Izumi immediately started gathering materials.

"For the outfit… a blue-and-white maid uniform sounds nice."

"Weapon will be exorcist throwing knives."

"And the device… let's make it a pocket watch."

He muttered to himself while shaping metal, melting crystals, and assembling fragments.

Creating this thing wouldn't take a day or two.

He was mentally prepared for a long project.

Materials melted under his magic; fragments reshaped under his hands.

He worked tirelessly through the night, preparing the core components…

Until Asia physically dragged him away to sleep.

The next morning, Rias Gremory and her servants arrived at Izumi's house early.

And not just them—

Sona Sitri and her servants came as well.

The living room was flooded with girls, chattering so loudly it sounded like a crowded café.

Among them, Rin was enthusiastically comparing worlds with the devils.

When Izumi came downstairs, he saw the lively chaos and sighed.

Everyone turned at once.

Rias smiled.

"Izumi-kun, everything is ready on our end."

"We can leave whenever you are."

Izumi yawned.

"Let's eat first, then go."

"And there won't be anyone else where we're going, right?"

"If there are, we're switching to a deserted island."

If they were going to a beach, Izumi absolutely refused to let strangers see his girls.

His possessiveness was no joke.

Rias laughed knowingly.

"Relax."

"I know how you are."

"No one will be there except us."

"The location is rarely visited—and it belongs to Sona's family."

Izumi nodded in satisfaction.

"Good. Then it's settled."

He scarfed down breakfast, went upstairs to grab his things, and returned.

A magic circle flared beneath their feet as Rias opened a teleportation gate.

This time, Izumi brought his entire household.

Time to begin training.

Time to grow stronger.

Time to create monsters.
