Just as she had thought , Betty's eyes could tell alot of things.
" Good morning ma , good morning" Abigail greeted her mother and the other customers outside.
" Good morning, Abigail you are glowing this morning, wow!!!" Patricia a regular customer and a close neighbor said to her, wrapping her bag of goods
" Thanks" Abigail replied walking inside the house slowly as the air around her turned thick.
" Tom B please take over "Betty said pulling her apron from her neck and handing it to him as Tom B struggled to catch it, she grabbed Abigail by her hand , Betty's grip on her was so strong like that of an eagle on its pray swinging her mercilessly into Abigail's room and locking the door.
" Mum what happened" Abigail asked as her mother's grip was too strong on her leaving behind some red marks on her skin.
" Don't ask me " Betty replied" where have you been? , where did you go?, Who did you go to meet ?, Tell me huh..."
" Mu..mu..mum.." she starmmerd as her mother's questions struck her like lighting, leaving her completely speechless.
" So , you have no answer, as far as you are under my roof I have the right to know where you were last night" Betty asked with her eyes burning like Cole and her rage was stemming
" I went to my friends place " Abigail said turning in order to skip the whole talk.
" Your friends place or your lovers place " Betty said as her words sounded like thunder making Abigail stiff. " Yes Henrys place, all this while that you left home , you have been going to his place... Why? Huh,, tell me"
She added and turning Abigail to face her with her hands angrily
" I don't know what to say, I..I.. don't want to speak about it " Abigail said.
" How dare you!! , Have you forgotten that you are a married woman, how dare you see another man other than you husband ,is...is that how I raised you, tell me " Betty said pointing her finger at her
" Mum please " Abigail said
" Please tell me now, how dare you do such a thing " Betty thundered
" Mum, Henry is not another man and you know that. He is my husband so you can't stop me from seeing him" Abigail said looking at her mother straight in the eye
" Nonsense!!.. Hugo is your husband and you have no right to cheat on him, what are you thinking, how I can't believe this " Betty said placing her hand on her forehead and sighing as deeply as she could.
" I'm not cheating on anyone " Abigail answered
" Have the both of you have been intimate?" Betty asked dropping her hand
" What kind of a question are you asking ? It's something private it's between me and my husband Henry , so I have nothing to explain or tell you mum" Abigail said but received a slap across her face it was a swift but less painful slap
" O my world, Abigail don't tell me you aren't a virgin, because the reason you got married is.." Betty said hitting her head with hand and walking slowly around the room in circles." Oh Abigail why did you do this , I wasn't expecting this from you , Why?,why?. You are shameless sleeping around with that man when... When you have a husband "
" Mum Henry is my husband, he is the only man I love and I'll ever love , I don't acknowledge that Hugo as my husband and nothing can change it, even the law won't accept it." Abigail answered back as she could no longer suppress her feelings and emotions just to play the role of a good and understanding daughter which was choking and killing her slowely.
" Just shut up!!" Betty said in deep anger " from today my house is no longer open to you , and you should know this you are a married woman and you should stay and only love your husband Hugo!.. I don't want to ever see you with, Henry never in this life again"
" And why should I leave him,? Why should I do that ? You can't stop me from loving him and make me go to that weird guy Hugo." Abigail said tighting her gaze at her mother although her eyes were already teary"Hugo is not the good guy he appears to be and I can't just waste my life and future on him "
" What I have said is final , I want you off to your husband's house right now at this minute, because you spent the whole night with your lover and neglected your own husband leaving him to stay alone although he was In need of his wife to take care of him. I never thought you to run from responsibilities ,then why are you doing it now " Betty said to her turning her face to the door
" Why am I doing it ?, I'm doing nothing wrong ,and in no way am I running from my responsibilities, because it seems you don't love me like you claim, if your love were through you won't leave me in the hands of a total stranger. And all this while I have been fulfilling my responsibility by Keeping you and dad safe, but just a simple sentences that pervet made to you.. you believed him" Abigail explained with tears falling from her eyes and her teething grinning in her mouth.
She turned around and moved to the wardrobe removing her clothes from the hanger and flinging it into her luggage which she had already opened.
" Fix your relationship with Hugo, and embrace your reality there's no hope in fooling around with Henry,and I pray your father doesn't find out or else he will be furious " Betty said opening the door and storming out leaving Abigail in tears and pain ,to judge herself,as Betty's words deployed alot of truth in her eyes.

Henry was still at home getting dressed he had just finished from the shower and was already in his light blue suit looking hot for work, he made his way down the stairs to his dinning for breakfast.
